AS OF TODAY, JUNE 9, 2021, Nicaragua is experiencing a national blackout. There is a power cut across the entire country. This is an attempt by Ortega and the Sandinista government to limit communication by cutting power and therefore internet/cellphone reception. Ever since April 18, 2018, the Ortega regime has made peaceful protest and public criticisms against the government ILLEGAL through means of modifying the Nicaraguan constitution as they have done many times before. This year, 2021, is a presidential election year. However, Daniel Ortega and the regime have a history of stealing the electoral vote by tampering with ballots for a DECADE.

WE ARE BEING HELD HOSTAGE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY.

Nicaragua is not in the “list of priorities” in the international sphere and is often thrown to the side as a footnote in the discussion of dictatorships in Central America and South America.
