Dear friends and supporters,
I write to you with a heavy heart but also with hope. My name is Hala, a child from Gaza born in 2010. I have witnessed all the wars in my city. Now, I live in a tent with my mother, brother, and sister. We live in constant fear of death and long for the days of school, my classmates, and my education.
I am sharing my story to seek your support and help in my campaign to evacuate from Gaza so I can live in peace and continue my education. Please share this post with your friends, family, and anyone who can help. Let us work together to achieve this simple dream of living a safe life and returning to school.

ATTENTION! NICARAGUAN DICTATOR DANIEL ORTEGA AND HIS VICE PRESIDENT WIFE ROSARIO MURILLO HAVE ARRESTED ALL POLITICAL CANDIDATES IN ORDER TO STEAL THE ELECTORAL VOTE
AS OF TODAY, JUNE 9, 2021, Nicaragua is experiencing a national blackout. There is a power cut across the entire country. This is an attempt by Ortega and the Sandinista government to limit communication by cutting power and therefore internet/cellphone reception. Ever since April 18, 2018, the Ortega regime has made peaceful protest and public criticisms against the government ILLEGAL through means of modifying the Nicaraguan constitution as they have done many times before. This year, 2021, is a presidential election year. However, Daniel Ortega and the regime have a history of stealing the electoral vote by tampering with ballots for a DECADE.
WE ARE BEING HELD HOSTAGE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY.
Nicaragua is not in the “list of priorities” in the international sphere and is often thrown to the side as a footnote in the discussion of dictatorships in Central America and South America. BUT THE NICARAGUAN PEOPLE BEEN UNDER THREAT TO SPEAK OUT BY THE ORTEGA REGIME FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS, NOT INCLUDING THE PAST 14 YEARS OF HIM BEING IN POWER.

[ENGLISH] Four presidential candidates in opposition of the government have been arrested under orders of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo in less than a week. The people of Nicaragua urge the international community, particularly the OEA (Organización de los Estados Americanos) to declare the Ortega regime ILLEGITIMATE, sanction them through all possible economic and diplomatic means, as well as demand the immediate liberation of the presidential candidates. Daniel Ortega is an INHUMANE CRIMINAL DICTATOR and must be regarded as such by the international community.

So, India is dying.
Look, I know a good number of you are from the US and things aren't amazing there either, but my country is literally on the brink of collapse. So I'd love it if we could talk about that for a minute.

A second COVID wave has taken out the healthcare system. There are no more hospital beds. There's an oxygen shortage. There's a critical vaccine shortage. The Central Government has thrown its hands up and is passing the baton to the State Governments to do what they can.
There are over 16 million covid cases. A record 330,000 new cases reported yesterday - comparable to the US at its peak. 187,000 dead as of today.
There is no plan.
Mass cremations are taking place. The cremation grounds are running day and night and they are short on wood. People are watching their loved ones die while waiting for a hospital bed, and then they're unable to give them the proper burial rights.
Hospitals are overwhelmed. Patients are being confined, two to a bed. They're the lucky ones.
We are on the verge of people dying in the streets.
This is the second-most populous country in the world. The largest democracy. A country that encapsulates over 15,000 years of recorded human history and has endured everything from famine to invasion to colonisation.
We might be at the end. This might be the thing that does us in.
People are dying.
People are dying.
People are dying and there is no plan.
More good news? Variants are popping up. A double mutation strain has shown up. It is resistant to current vaccines. This will not go away. This is the devastation they warned of when the anti-maskers were out protesting the minor inconvenience of covering their face in public.
My country is on the verge of an emergency state. Our government has failed us. This is as dire a situation as it ever could be.
Look. I don't do much with my life. I write fics, some of you have read them and that's pretty much it. I spend my days with my head in the clouds because that's where I like to be.
But two days ago, my grandmother tested positive, had to be taken to hospital and the ambulance caught fire.
She barely made it to the urgent care she needs.
So, here I am, using whatever meager platform I have to cobble this request together. Because I have to do something.

I am pleading to you with the deepest sincerity for your support to help my family in Gaza. It seems like the donations to help my family have stopped. My family still needs help to survive due to the incredibly high cost caused by inflation. Inflation rates have exceeded 250% in Gaza currently. Because of this my family simply cannot afford anything they need to survive such as water, food, medication and any daily necessities.
My health is currently not in a good state. The pituitary brain tumor I am currently receiving treatment for in Egypt is negatively affecting all aspects of life. This includes negatively affecting my eyesight by causing visual loss. Doing anything has been particularly difficult for me lately due to these things. 🙏
So now I am pleading with all of you to please help my family survive. Please support the campaign for my family, please donate to the campaign, and please help share the campaign for my family very frequently and help amplify my voice since I am currently incapable of doing so on my own…. I am a university student and I always imagined my dreams and my future. I dreamed of becoming a doctor, but unfortunately the war came and my university was destroyed. I want to travel abroad and I want to complete my studies and dreams. I want a life free of bombing. I want a life that has the basics of life. I do not want a life of luxury. I just want the basics!!! (Water, food, electricity, safety, education, medicine, net)
I want to put pictures of me before the war and pictures after the war, so that you know how much the war affected us and how difficult and destructive it was and how much we suffered
