“So Close”
Stephen Strange had finally found a new way for his hands to help the world after his accident- through the mystic arts. He was fine accepting the life of loneliness required to be successful and useful. That is, until Infinity War happens, and he meets one Tony Stark.
Once everything with Infinity War has been fixed, the sorcerer finds he has grown a fondness for Tony, having met him in the 14 million futures. He however knows that there is no one else who can protect the multiverses like he can, and chooses to reluctantly contain his feelings.
Tony finds he has grown feelings for the doctor, however, he cannot deny the sorcerer the purpose he’s been longing for, and can’t bring himself to tell him how he really feels.
