He calls you at night sometimes. It's always 3 in the morning, sleep still stuck in his throat.

"You okay?" he asks.

"Yeah, I'm okay." You mumble into your pillow. The new meds they have you on make drowsiness feel like a weight and you can feel it pulling you back under.

"Had a dream that you weren't."

Your lips twitch. Neither up nor down, just a reaction. "You shouldn't dream about me."

"I try not to." He turns over and you can hear him adjust the blankets. "Can't help it, I guess."

"At least-" you yawn. "Try to make them wet dreams or something."

Bakugo barks out a laugh. You can almost picture him, flat on his back, canine caught over his bottom lip.

"Fuck, yeah, I wish," he says, incredibly soft. He's always like this at night: somber, sweet. even as you tease each other. "I miss having sex."

"Mm, me too." Your eyes are drifting closed. "You're phenomenal at it."

"Mm, yeah. Stroke my ego."

"You just wanna stroke something else."

He laughs again and you actually smile this time. Sleep is catching you, drifting you away slowly... slowly...

"Goodnight, baby." Bakugo's voice catches you at the precipice.

You're gone before you can respond.

thinking about Pro hero Bakugo who wears a locket on him at all times. The picture in it? A beautiful picture of you smiling on your wedding day.

It's not on a necklace where it can snag or get pulled but somewhere else, safer. Also not as visible. But then the press gets a photo of him and someone sees it.

The pretty design on the back of the golden locket stands out. The press and his fans go crazy over it. Everyone already knows Bakugo is down bad for his wife but now there's a locket with unknown photos in it.

Bakugo chooses to ignore it till he's in an interview and gets asked "so everyone's dying to know. What's in this secret locket of yours?" A confused look comes to his face.

"That's a stupid question, my wife of course."
