Happy Independence Day 🇺🇦

Happy Independence Day 🇺🇦

UKR🇺🇦 -> ENG🇬🇧

🇺🇦

Every year on August 23, my beloved Ukraine celebrates the Day of the National Flag, and Independence Day on August 24. Today, our modern statehood turns 33 years old, although in fact, Ukrainian history goes back thousands of years. These are years of gaining Future, Freedom, Independence. These are years of Faith, Self-awareness, Path.

Ukraine means Fighting. Eternal fighting for destiny.

I thank everyone, thanks to whom we can celebrate this Day. Thank you to everyone who defended, defends, and will defend our State.

Slava Ukraini! Heroyam slava!

🇺🇦

OCs in their nationalities' folk clothes: Ian (Ukrainian) and Alim (Crimean tatar).

Russian culture is bloody terror

Russian Culture Is Bloody Terror
Russian Culture Is Bloody Terror

This morning, 53-year-old Oleksandr Potikun from Vovchansk took three dogs, documents, canned food, and photo albums and left the city to evacuate.

The man walked for 15 kilometers until he was picked up by the police. Oleksandr says that he decided to leave the city when a Russian tank damaged his house and a neighboring one. Before, he didn't want to leave because of Toshka, Jozyk, and Archie - he was afraid that the dogs would disappear if he left them behind. He also evacuated family photos: "Our houses are burning very badly, at least we will have something to remember."

Potikun says that Vovchansk is broken, Russians are bombarding the city with air and artillery around the clock.

Defense forces have stopped the enemy's attempts to break through the defense in the east, while fighting continues in Lukianets and Vovchansk

"The situation on the eastern front remains tense in the Khortytsia Joint Forces Operation Center in our area of responsibility, but the defense units are actively engaged in defensive battles. Attempts by Russian invaders to break through our defense have been stopped. The situation has been stabilized, in particular in the Kharkiv sector," said Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia group.

According to Voloshyn, the operational situation remains difficult, but it is changing dynamically. Fierce defensive battles continue: "There are settlements in a large part of our border area where the enemy is trying to gain a foothold and use them for further advancement." In the video, Oleksiy Kharkovsky, head of the Vovchansk patrol police, said that the situation in Vovchansk is extremely difficult, the enemy is taking positions on the streets of the city, where the evacuation of the population is also underway.

The mosaic by the Sixtier Opanas Zalyvakha is almost completely laid out with natural stone. On the sides, there is the inscription "Чим хата багата, тим і рада". ("With what the house is rich, with that the house is happy). One of the most beautiful mosaics in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Nobody gave us as much hate about talking about the war Russia has been waging on Ukraine since 2014 as russian feminists and queers did. Miss me caring about their plights.

I'm Not Calling Any Names And Not Getting Into A Personal Confrontation. But With This Comment Under

I'm not calling any names and not getting into a personal confrontation. But with this comment under one of my recent posts I wanted to show you what a rare "normal" "good" russian looks like.

Ukrainians online and offline mostly get called slurs by russians, but the stereotypical "you knokhol pigs have no right to exist" shit doesn't evoke any feelings anymore. In me, at least. It's rare comments like this that truly get to me.

Let's set things straight: do I think it's easy being russian now? Do I think all russian people are bloodthirsty monsters who want to kill us all? Do I think all of them are doing absolutely nothing to oppose the regime? No. To all of the above.

But it's with the russian "liberal opposition" that you most often get the "we're sorry and ashamed, but…" You know how in relationships with abusive, manipulative, self-involved people you never get to hear a sincere apology? It's always "sorry but" – either "but I suffer too", "I am not to blame", "I had no bad intentions" etc. That's the same thing with most of the "good" russians.

Do I think it's fair that some of them had to leave their homes and their country behind, when they never voted for putin and didn't "want the war"? No. Things are rarely fair in this world. But you can just say you're ashamed by your nation, or you're devastated by the fact that your countrymen recently killed 20 innocent people, including 9 children, with a ballistic missile, in the middle of the day. You don't have to add your personal struggles commenting on such news, to show that you are also a victim.

Especially when you're commenting on a blog run by a Ukrainian living in Ukraine. You have no idea what most of us have been or are going through, what or who we have lost because of your country. I lost not only my home, but my city, and some other cities near and dear to me, like my grandma's town where I spent all my summer breaks - lie in ruins. Uninhabitable. Nothing but a pile of rubble. Because your country destroyed it.

We don't need to hear how sorry and ashamed you are, when it doesn't come from a place of sincerity and accountability. You can make this about yourself under the posts about russian struggles, or in your own space. Don't come to us with this shit. Our ability to empathise with you gets crippled by each day our people die and our cities get vaporized.

When The Anti "LGBT Propaganda" Law Passed In Russia, All Of You Were Going Insane And Cared. Give Georgia

When the anti "LGBT propaganda" law passed in Russia, all of you were going insane and cared. Give Georgia the same energy. If you can have sympathy for our oppressors on the basis of them being queer, you should keep the same energy for us, if not more.

If this law passes, every Georgian queer person I know is so severely fucked, myself included. If you make jokes about "being illegal in several countries" you better fucking care about the countries you're apparently illegal in, or going to be illegal in.

Make sure to spread this around. This is important.

‼️Approximately 110 missiles were launched by Russia, most of them were shot down, - Zelenskyi

Maternity hospital, educational institutions, shopping center, high-rise buildings and private houses, commercial warehouse, parking lot. Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and our other cities.

Today, Russia was fighting with almost everything it has in its arsenal: "daggers" ("kyndzhaly"), S-300, cruise missiles, UAVs. Strategic bombers launched X-101/X-505. Approximately 110 missiles were fired, most of which were shot down.

Unfortunately, as a result of the shelling, there are dead and wounded.

New pfp!

New Pfp!

And a little meme with my OCs so that this post is more interesting. =)

New Pfp!

I'm kinda ill, though the sun is shining, so my mood is slightly happier each time I look out the window. ☀️✨️ The news is awful lately, so please consider supporting Ukraine in any way you can. You can always DM me for any info on this topic. Slava Ukraini!
