-the rudest guy in the world (said boss) does one nice thing for him that he didn’t expect and he immediately falls in love (this is real to me ok let me have this)

-outsmarted an avatar of the lonely despite being in a horrible depressive episode with no contact to anyone else

-manages to make peter fully believe he’s dedicated to the lonely even as his crush of many many years is practically confessing his love at every interaction

We don’t talk enough about how Martin was likely mostly running the institute by himself (cuz Peter probably wasn’t all that helpful, Martin for sure never wants to see a spreadsheet again) while in a depressive episode AND manipulating Peter to make him think he’s on his side. So I’m listening to TMA again as one does and I’m on episode 19 and 20 (bundling them because it’s a two parter) and like first of all the voice that the priest guy heard was obviously mother of puppets right? And so then the skin thing happens, which is gross but like- that’s the flesh. And we know that to do a ritual you need the catalyst to be marked by all the fears, and for the watchers crown that’s Jon but for the apotheosis of the web (which the whole reason I’m doing this re-listen is because that was a thing in the fanfic Right By Them by Esperosis on ao3 ((so good I recommend so many)) which may wayyyy to much sense, to the point where I was like— I tuned out half of Annabel Cane’s whole thing at the end of season 5 mostly cause I didn’t get it, so this very well could be an actual thing that I’ve just completely missed? So I’m going on an adventure to find out
