*grabs Your Hands And Speaks To You In A Tone That Is So Gentle* They/them Pronouns Stop Being Universal

*grabs your hands and speaks to you in a tone that is so gentle* they/them pronouns stop being universal once you learn a person's pronouns. Sometimes that person's pronouns will include they/them and in that specific case you are allowed to keep using those pronouns for that person. In any case where you learn a persons pronouns and that person doesn't use they/them, you should no longer use those pronouns for that person. If you continue to use they/them pronouns knowing that person doesn't use them, you are now misgendering that person. Kindly stop doing that please. Thank you, I love you.

"the best way to screw jkr over is by making her characters queer!" actually. The best way to screw jkr over is to stop engaging with the property she still profits off of and read a different fucking book

They say we can't reclaim "tranny" as if they haven't called our voices "tranny voice" for years, as if they haven't called us "tranny dykes" forever, as if cis people actually care who they hit with that word. I have been called "tranny," I have been called it in multiple languages, in many ways, people in my high school used it to attack me like any other trans person, queer people did. People used it to mock, to hurt, aggrivate, to try to bond.

But they push us out of feminist spaces because suddenly we don't understand anymore, they push us out of sapphic spaces because they deem our bodies gross, our self-expression wrong, and now they push us out of trans spaces because we don't suffer enough. I wonder how much more pain I am supposed to shoulder before it will be enough for it to be deemed worth talking about, for it to be deemed worth discussing, reclaiming.

Because we have the bi experience, the ace, and inter experience: every side turns us away. We're too queer and too damaged, and then we're not queer enough, haven't suffered enough.

All this when you won't even let us talk about our pain in our own voices. How will you ever know it if you never listen; if you make us afraid to talk?

Be Gay, Trans And Alive

Be gay, trans and alive

i'm going to keep banging this drum forever, stop treating groups of marginalised people as "sides" in discourse. stop saying you distrust trans women because of the evil hysterical transradfems. stop saying you distrust non-binary people because of the evil privileged theyfabs. stop saying you distrust trans men because of the evil MRA transandrobros. stop saying you distrust intersex people because of the evil transphobic cis invaders.

stop hearing people complain about bigotry with no comment on who the person perpetuating it was and imagining a marginalised person in your mind. stop justifying bigotry against others because it's against the "side" of discourse that you personally dislike. stop assuming everything a certain marginalised group talks about has to do with whatever petty discourse you're involved in. stop tolerating blatant bigots because you see them as "on your side".

if it's getting to a point where online discourse is so important to you that it influences how you view marginalised people who have done nothing to you, then maybe it's time to log off for a while and start hiking or knitting or something, mostly because it just can't be very good for your health to constantly prime yourself to be anxious or angry around everyone you meet.

I’d rather be considered the ‘wrong’ kind of trans man by being authentically myself and happy, than suppress/kill off the parts of myself that other queer and cis people think are ‘evil’ to earn a ‘one of the good ones’ badge that they’ll strip me of at any hint of noncompliance to their whims.

"Men aren't oppressed for being men"

Trans men are real men. Trans manhood is real manhood. Trans men are oppressed for being trans men.

You're just a transphobe who hasn't actually internalized trans manhood as real manhood.

You only view manhood as an oppressive force rather than a real, genuine identity someone can feel connected to. This is transphobic.

You don't value the full scope of trans men's experiences as we define them for ourselves. You want us to sit down, shut up and let others make the decisions for us. Something most of us have been told all of our lives but is somehow progressive now that we're men....huh. Our voices are lifted up by feminist language for the misogyny we experience before we transition and then we're thrown out on the curb when we transition. We're "on thin ice" while we're pressured to self flagellate and be ashamed of our identity and when we begin to talk about the complexities of our issues we have our experiences flattened and dismissed.

You can't say trans men are men and try to dissect the trans part from the man part. You are inclined to do this because you have anti-transmasculine biases. Our experiences are the experiences of men, marginalized men who are not valued by the system.

On discord rn reading a chat i missed about the UK SC ruling (which mentions trans men by name btw). When one user asked if it affects trans men, another user just said "no I don't think so" without even checking.

This is what transmasc erasure does - it can literally make us blind to how trans men are affected because the assumption that things are only ever targeted at trans women is so widely held. Now I have the shitty job of informing the user that trans men are affected and that they could be impacted too.

It’s funny how so many of these proudly transandrophobic blogs are just. Blatantly intersexist and exorsexist as well. Literally just blocked a binary trans person who had four posts in a row whinging about nonbinary people and their “esoteric non-man genders”

And if they're not doing that, they're saying intersex individuals shouldn’t speak up about the casual intersexism rampant in the LGBT+ community, because it makes queer perisex people sad :(

Sometimes these dumbasses even go for triple, and call every transfem whose even vaguely supportive of trans men “pick mes” or “brainwashed puppets” or even “trans men in disguise”, because nothing says you’re supportive of trans women like a dose of transmisogyny!

I guess anyone who is proudly a bigot towards one group is probably gonna be a bigot to others, even if they try to pretend otherwise.

Makes em easy to block, though. One less dumbass on my dash, hope they figure their shit out bc god damn, it’s embarrassing to witness.
