This episode is so beautiful that I don't know what to cry about - the beauty and perfection or for the horrors of it all.
Spoilers for Arcane S2 Act III
If I had a nickel every time 2 characters start on bad terms only for one of them to save the other in the very same episode which kicks of their friendship which is essential to their arcs and makes the one saved a better person and helps him achieve everything he has ever dreamed of and more while the other slowly loses himself, disregarding his own morals for the greater good while working in the shadows towards their shared goal but gets tunnel vision and forgets himself (which leads to the destruction of everything he worked for) and they are referred to as/called the two sides of the same coin and at the end they hold one another as they/one of them die (and btw one of the characters is in relationship with this badass woman he doesn't deserve but still choses to spend his last moments in the presence and only thinking about the sassy twink that has been there for him for years) and they don't kiss, it isn't outright stated that they love each other romantically but there is love, it is beyond friendshp, brotherhood or partnersip, they are soulmates...
Like, okay the dehumanization and misogyny of it all. Mauer treating this woman like a toy and attempting to gaslight her. The unspoken threat of sexual violence and what he could have done to her. Gemma clearly hating this man and him still toying with her because he can. It’s a violation, it’s abhorrent. The way that it’s not even clear that the company knows or not. That this technology would attract freaks who would abuse women and that it’s a plot point that in the news an innie did get pregnant. Literally kidnapped and treating her like a Testing animal. It’s so fucked up. It’s so fucking fucked up.
The way that this technology is being actually developed by real technofascist cretins who would do this.
All the "I would have also dated Dorian Gray knowing how morally bankrupted he is. Have you seen him?" posts annoyed me a little but I thought they were just jokes and didn’t think much of them...But were they really? With the amount of people on the internet arguing how "books are not political" and debating how characters like Batman would be republican I am not so sure anymore.
The song playing during Ekko and Powder's scene “Ma Meilleure Ennemie” by Stromae, Pomme perfectly portraying Timebomb feels like the final nail in the cofin.
You’re the best thing that ever happened to me, but also the worst thing that ever happened to me. The day I met you, I would’ve preferred that it never happened. The worst of blessings. The most beautiful jinx. ... You know what they say keep your closest friends near, but keep your enemies even closer. But my dearest enemy is you.

“The level of sadism unleashed against Palestinians is truly unfathomable. It is redefining what genocide looks like, and yet, no one reacts.”

I will never be over this panel. NEVER. Why did they draw him like that!?
I have to explain to everyone I show this that it's not yaoi and his bones were just broken...and no, his dark abusive top wasn't the one to break them. Really, yaoi creators should take some notes.
I read so many things about the gay context and undertones in The Picture of Dorian Gray... Why were you all lying to me? It is just text plain and simple. I thought Basil was pretty upfront with his feelings for Dorian from the beginning and now I just read pages of him confessing his undying love and devotion to Dorian himself. How is that context, undertones or whatever words people are using to describe this clearly homosexual novel?
He was a man written by a woman, unfortunately the woman was Sarah j Maas
