Yes pretty much. I get it’s a reactionary response but as I mentioned, let’s try to avoid thinking black or white on a fictional character that has lots of screen time and made various decisions throughout the show/story. I agree with you that her heart was in the right place despite it completely backfiring on her. As the episode showed later on, she def needed a second opinion on more than just that (you know the who I’m gonna kill Sasuke by myself thing?).
Side note!
Sai positioned himself as a third party with a more grounded/earnest opinion on the situation but he admitted that he shouldn’t had told Sakura his opinion on their relationship because it caused Sakura to make ultimately an oopsie decision that upset Naruto. It’s messy but hey, there is a reason why Shippuden was 500 episodes lol
The issue I have with Sakura stans as another Sakura fan is that some have a tendency to think black or white. I’m unsure if it’s because of how much hate a character who really didn’t deserve it got during the Naruto heyday.
Regardless, if you have an opinion that isn’t 💯 positive all around, a subsection of fans will attack you. Like you can literally say nothing negative about the character and people will act like you do.
Maybe it’s a ESL thing. I find that if I’m having a discussion with someone and it’s clear to me that we are talking about two different things, the miscommunication is from a language barrier, people can’t read well or it’s anger issues that makes people skip words.
For example, I had a discussion about Sakura and Naruto’s dynamic with Sasuke. I said that Sakura is the more reasonable one as Naruto’s constant defending for Sasuke even though he’s technically wrong is absurd. But that’s just Naruto. He sees the good in everyone, even people who genuinely don’t deserve it at times.
Somehow someone took that and responded with I’m calling Sakura a whore, bitch and dumb and that I’m sexist. If Sakura did it she’s that but when Naruto does it it’s endearing LMAO.
Me dunking on Naruto and saying Sakura is more reasonable is apparently swapped in that person’s mind.
Honestly there is a reason why people don’t like Sakura fans because some of them took the hate that her character got and took it in the wrong direction.
“Why are you so obsessed with getting in my way?!”
-“Because…you’re my friend.”
Someone on his team needs to tell him that his shredded belt skirt isn’t working for him.
ALSO WHY DID HE WEAR HIS NORMAL BATTLE OUTFIT ON HIS BIG DAY?!? My man was out there during his whole ceremony wearing that?!?! Change it up man it’s your BIG DAY.
Rufus isn’t even a hard boss he is just an annoying boss.
Spoiled brat i aint got time for you and your stupid pettiness with your privileged ass thinking your feelings matter more than the crisis at hand, go away!
Sasuke Uchiha is an overrated emo little twerp and Lee got fucking nerfed because Kishimoto didn’t want a true baller to win.
love when i look up a song i used to listen to exclusively via anime amv music videos and the official video is the cheesiest shit i've ever seen
Shippūden Naruto is literally holding the plot hostage because all he wants is to hang out with Sasuke on the weekends. A guy who wouldn’t even hang out with him outside of missions.
BECAUSE LITERALLY WHAT DOES BRINGING SASUKE BACK TO THE LEAF VILLAGE ACCOMPLISH?
He’s not even like “Sasuke come back we have to finish the Chunin exams properly or else I can’t become Hokage”. He just misses his man 🧍♂️
Undiagnosed, female autism is hyper fixating on famous actor, Marlon Brando, when I do not like his movies, I did not like his acting, and with all that I did everything I could to study and research everything about the actor and his life. This included his unspoken mommy issues to reading his biography and listening to the audiobook that was read by him, watching a really personal documentary that was released 5-10 years ago that really should not be released to public because it was something that was meant for him and his therapist (entirely made from tapes he recorded).
All of my drama class projects that year, all connected to him, or about the golden age of Hollywood movies in the 20th century and all of my projects included him as an actor and some of those movies.
The worst and most confusing thing of ALL was that I didn’t even find him attractive. Again, didn’t like his movies, thought his acting was mediocre, found his personality off putting and personally not my type BUT I Scavenged the entire Internet to find everything documented on the guy - to rumors about him being Bisexual which lead me to that one photo of him with a penis in his mouth (I don’t know if that was photoshopped) to watching all of his really shitty overrated movies.
To reiterate - I hyper fixated on a dead person who I should have not had an interest in but I did :/
I miss brocon Clive
He’s just not as dotting as I thought he would be in his adult years
Clive head pats 🤍
So like… did they actually check that Dion could still prime before pulling that little stunt or…?
Chainsaw man fucking sucks but the first chapter was so good. Denji was a decent character but the moment his ambitions (touching girls bodies) was revealed, it ruined his character. Him explicitly viewing the women around him as sex objects is awful. He doesn’t even really care if he dislikes them, he just wants to touch their breasts. The male author can’t help himself and justifies it by having the female characters act in a way that women would not act like and feed into his perversions. Not to mention, the story is MID. It wasn’t even worth the read for the story.
Update: it’s not an ESL thing it’s literally the whole “I like pancakes - so you hate waffles” mindset that mainly comes from American users. As someone living in Canada, I’ve never experienced anyone who has that sort of mindset before and I used to work in mental health services. I’m so Canadian that I thought it was a language barrier because the black and white thinking is really bizarre to me.
