[Start ID. Two drawings of Hollow Knight OCs in the City of Tears. The first depicts Solper and Caramel, an owlfly and carpenter bee respectively, just before they duel in midair, from a vantage point behind Caramel's shoulder. They're a fair distance from the ground, which is composed of a scattering of large cobblestone islands, partially submerged by a dark sea. They both seem rather enthused, fighting for fun—Caramel has her mantis claw held out to the side and other fist raised, while Solper's sabre is poised beside his head, his other limbs akimbo. The entire drawing and particularly the background are indigo-toned, drenched and shining under perpetual rain.

The second shows Molini, Hawksbeard and Dandy, a millipede, grasshopper and a moth. Molini contentedly sits as the other two use her as a bench, circled around a fire as they've just finished boiling tea, the kettle is propped up on Dandy's nail and settled between two poles taken from Solper and Caramel's battleground. The background is dark enough to appear fully blank, though a handful of lumaflies and the light of a hidden central fire shine upon the three bugs. Hawksbeard is chatting, the others listen, all three holding cups from which pale steam rises in clouds. While the firelight is particularly bright, the tone of the drawing is warm, in both color and feeling. End ID]

March 30 was the first time I'd interacted with @hollypies (feat. their Dandy), and April 5th my earliest memory of @original-character-chaos (feat. his Solper). So I offer a two-weeks-late first-anniversary drawing to my mutuals :]

bugs hollow knight others ocs peridots-art peridots-ocs original-character-chaos peridots-described caramel hk hawksbeard hk molini hk hk ocs solper hk dandy hk hollypies that tag should've grammatically been others' ocs but okay. anyway on with the rambling i have been working on these for THREE WEEKS but to be fair i was drowning in pain from a toothache that resulted in a root canal. for like half of that time. and i work slowly anyway. so with all the extra time I got this ended up being a good study in backgrounds and unfamiliar lighting and cohesivity though!! not to stop anyone from noticing the giraffe weevil kettle but both that and the blanket hawks is sitting on are gifts from Caramel while i've never been one to put many worldbuilding headcanons into anything i think willoh/the grimsteeds are from the same place as her 'gifts' is a bit inaccurate as it's communal between the trio but yknow. also i didn't show it here but the first two are definitely in the bg of the second drawing somewhere just Conked Out. they just feel like the type who'd fight tirelessly and painfully just for funsies it has been very hard not just blatantly telling both of the recipients here that Hey I'm Drawing You Something. but i enjoy surprises anyway i know i had a lot to say here but i can't remember anything else so i think that sums it up. @ nox n holly: very sorry for not planning ahead further but i can't believe it's been a year and you guys are awesome. so <333 edit: it is now others' not other's. fantastic. not sure if the two tagged here get notified when i edit the tags here but if they do see i hope they have wonderful new years

ultrakill bots v1 ultrakill peridots-reblogs can't say i have many coherent thoughts to give right now. sorry about that. but i do enjoy how reminiscent this is of justice and splendor the slight skewedness and blockiness of the lineart and the way you did the shading (even if simple!) are all nice to look at :] i like how bits of the armor are styled to give the same shape as their plating and blood tubing and bot-angel swaps are always interesting tag too long to let me add a :] in the last one. so have a :] here. i just think that v1. oh ok i lied in the first sentence a little bit. anyways! >

HELLO?????? why did the devs think of this. how long did they think it'd take before someone discovered it. does it stack??? can you fly More with More Gun. tf2 reference aside this is. wonderful thank you for your contribution edit: it Sure Does stack. it sure does. (<blasted itself into the sky just by jumping Once with a few dozen dual-wield powerups) on a much milder note though even just having two guns/one powerup gives a little bit of a glide that slowly increases. i think you need four guns/three powerups to start flying though. i actually think having a single gun might impact physics a little??

A moderately stylized drawing of Leif from Bug Fables. He is standing facing the right side of the screen near the camera. His full body is visible, and he's drawn in a way that makes him more spiked and insect-like. His right arm is pointing diagonally down and to the right, and his left arm is making a "v"-shape as if he's holding something close to his head to inspect, but his fingers are mostly splayed out. Leif's right wings are parallel to the arm on that side, and his left wings are not raised at all. His antennae are held straight up and his stance is somewhat wide, like he's preparing to fight. His proportions are close to a human's, his thorax and head combined are as tall as his legs. A giant ice block that is also as tall as his head and thorax combined is hovering above his left hand, and there are smaller pieces of ice spread out in an arc next to it. The background is dark, and while it's mostly blank and abstract, there's a section on the lower half of the screen that's even darker, with a lined border, implying a floor.

Leif should get to be bright and spiky sometimes. as a treat

peridots-nonsense I've tried to stop caring so many times but right now? sure i AM making a drawing but mostly I'm just laying around and playing fallout: new vegas because i like the funky robot men. and in little moments between fights and quests and explorations I'll just pause for a second and put down a few lines or fill in a color just!! take your time and have fun with it if you can!! even if it's not easy to remind yourself sometimes!! idk. just feeling good :)

an ultrakill themed redraw of a screenshot from the mystery of the druids game. v1 is replacing halligan and mysterious druid knight and owl are replacing lowry. v1 is covered in blood and looks unamused. the subtitles at the top are edited to say, "mdk could you just give me a sensible answer? im looking for my sawblade launcher."

another redraw with v1 and mdk and owl. this time its a reference to the spongebob we're gonna kill you meme. the text is edited to say, "we're gonna full auto you"

a doodle of mdk and owl looking straight into the camera. mdk is holding up a middle finger. the text at the top reads, "through the magic of the druids fuck your entire life". the background is the tomb of kings from the game.

another doodle, this time of both v1 and mdk and owl. v1 is using the knuckleblaster to reflect all of the fuller auto projectiles back into mdk. the owl says, "oh great, nice attack moron". mdk replies with, "well how was i supposed to know it could reflect projectiles."

ultrakill bots v1 ultrakill peridots-reblogs had this in my drafts since mar17 (the same day i first fought him; just after midnight) but deciding to reblog now cause i started watching mandalore's motd playthrough ten days ago (feels like a lot longer considering the seven-odd rewatches) thanks to knuckleblaster linking it on hakita's mdk art. i love this stupid game and i think i need to put brent halligan under a microscope it was mostly fun figuring out where the references came from...hence in part the mystery of the druids rambling here :] wish i had more to say as to the post itself but i do still love mdk and all your silly art of him :] mdk ultrakill owl ultrakill mystery of the druids
