hey maybe cross-tagging posts about how much characters hate a specific group into that group’s tags is inherently malicious and youre an asshole if you do it!

no “we just do.” is not a valid reason. you dont know how important a certain character could be to someone and you are an absolute dick if you do this. 

I get really confused when an openly proship blog follows me but they reblog from a bunch of antis, I'm really unsure of if they just don't check people's blogs therefore they're reblogging those posts because said posts don't have proship dni on that specific post (I've seen especially a lot of selfship posts that have no indication of if proshippers can interact or not but their dni is on their pinned, so if it's just some random post on your feed like that it seems like there isn't a need to check the blog etcetc), or if they're, y'know, an anti posing as a proshipper 😭 I don't want to block someone over a misunderstanding since I like making mutuals but it's quite confusing. I moot a lot of people who follow me so if I haven't it's probably because of this misunderstanding (if it is a misunderstanding) and feel free to dm me to let me know, but also if possible please check dnis on people's blogs if you reblog/interact with them very frequently. I get it if they just don't have their dni in an easily accessible spot/you need to go through loops to find their dni but if their dni is on their pinned and you reblog from them frequently I'll probably misunderstand due to the nature of antis posing as proshippers. Sorry 😭 I also try not to moot people who purposely break dnis too so I also can't tell if it's done on purpose when it's done so much. It's just confusing for me, I might even sound a little silly right now but 😭

You don't NEED to indulge in dark fictional content for the sole purpose of coping with trauma/processing trauma for it to be a valid use of your time and attention. If you do, that's wonderful and I'm so glad it provides you with that comfort, but it isn't an obligation to be able to enjoy it. In response to your last post about selfshipping! I absolutely do that with my self-ships too! I make my s/i a minor like 99% of the time, and on the occasion that I feel like it, I'll make my romantic f/o a familial f/o as well, or vice-verse, usually as a form of coping with my trauma as well! Selfshipping that way is 100% valid, cause you aren't really hurting anybody! There really is no correct or incorrect way to self-ship, and you shouldn't let anybody try to tell you otherwise! - @touchstarved-syrup-selfships

I've seen too many posts recently so I just wanted to say this as a proshipper:

NO. IT IS NOT OKAY TO HARASS ANTISHIPPERS.

You cannot call yourself "anti-harassment" and turn around and harass antishippers. I don't care how utterly ridiculous or disgusting they're being. You block, report what is reportable, and move on.

I'm not talking about leaving a thoughtful indepth comment about your stance on shipping or explaining what proship actually means. I'm talking about the people who will send death threats to some antis, the people who say it's "alright to call them slurs" (no??? It's not??? Babe that is the exact justification antis use about harassing you!), and the people who claim that it's "just natural".

You don't get to do what the "bad people" do just because you're a part of the "good group". You can call yourself anti-harassment all you want, but if you're harassing others, you're just an anti. You're doing the same shit they do just to different people. Revenge and punching back feels nice, but an eye for an eye will make the world go blind. Be the mature one. That's what being proship is about. It's not about "oooo I ship something dark-" no, it's about gritting your teeth and hitting the block button when a conversation turns sour. It's about sighing and moving on when one of your moots vague posts about you. It's about finding peace from not putting your brain in other people's bedrooms.

Being proship is "anti-censorship", "anti-harassment", sals, and dldr. Not "you're the opposite! Let me harass you."
