Requested and inspired by @blackforrestpunk in this post. Something concerning the cat Ayesha and Chistine has also been requested, but I haven't got around to that yet.
I used to hate Dickens, and now I find him tolerable at best, but his style gives me allowance to ramble in archaic language, so I'm not complaining. This is honestly not that far from my usual writing style, so I've already clunked out part 2 and 3, if the readers are interested.
[Ha! That's rich, talking like you have a coachman!]
Context: the great Count Dracula has no servants. Blood-slaves? Thralls to his hypnotism? Nah. Just little old him and three vampire ladies who don't help with the chores and try to steal his snacks (and/or his lawyer).
Been seeing this meme around, and I had to.
Speaking of my goobers, I uploaded a chapter and completely forgot about it:

Pierce and Sarah confront an angry client. Also lots of tea about Pierce's affaires du coeur.
Quick sketch of my newest vampire. Unlike Pierce, October is a classic toxic heartthrob vampire with broody antihero problems, a long, bad history with damsels, and he rides a motorbike. In black leather clothes. Oh, geez.
He and Pierce are blood-feuding rivals.
Well, to be clear, October is out to get Pierce, but Pierce has a bit of a weak spot for people who hate him, as it were, so it's a one-sided relationship. On both sides.
Okay, so, my desk collapsed three times today, and OF COURSE of all the things to fall off and smash, it had to be a bottle of masking glue, and let me tell you that thing stinks.
When that was dealt with, my friend woke up and there was a lot of unawake texting and I started hyperfixating on a joint venture - all of this to say, I don't have the faculty to deal with my writing but you can have a look at the bits that are already there:

I dunno which chapter that is, help yourselves I guess I'm Undead.
Everything about this drawing makes me happy, but the detail that makes my Undead heart sing is the yellow-covered copy of Dracula. It's the 1897 edition, designed to evoke the appearance of the 'yellowback' - the cheap sensational fiction sold at railway stations at the time. Dr Watson was mentioned reading one in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. (Above is the miniature version I made for my haunted dollhouse.)
Cover me in sunshine...Shower me with good times
Tell me that the world's been spinning since the beginning....And everything will be alright
What can I say, my little nosferatu loves yellow. Get some sleep, Aurik.
watercolour and gouache with coloured pencil detailing, a little white ink for highlights.
"You can take me hot to go!"
If I have adorableness, you get adorableness. If I get brainrot, well, so do you! Je suis désolée.
All phantom cat stuff here!
🫦 Close-up of a WIP.
For the first time, I drew a fairly decent digital drawing of a human-like creature. And then this happened. I'm cursed. I want to take a bite out of it.
Perchance, I should consider giving up pursuing a career as an illustrator, and turn to making vampire pin-ups.
What are the people's interests in slightly scandalous, highly edible-looking vampire art?
For the OC ask game: 9 & 14!
Hiya, thank you for asking! I love doing these. Questions are from this ask game.
9. Does your character swear? Do they remember their first swearword? Pierce doesn't swear much, though he loves a saucy euphemism. He was in with a very... radical, wild crowd when he was young, he definitely learned a thing or two. Cleopatra was born in the Noughties, she has an extensive mental curseword dictionary but prefers creative insults . Her first swear was 'shite.' Sarah swears every few sentences, mostly 'hell' and 'damn', which were pretty bad in the 1700s, but she also uses slurs (which are never actually written out - once she 'called Pierce a name') that were common back then.
14. What animal are they afraid of? Pierce is afraid of terriers. He likes most dogs, but the small kind makes him jumpy. His fears change depending on what animal form he's taking, really. Cleopatra is afraid of fishes. She thinks they look very creepy in the water. Aquariums make her intensely uncomfortable, but she also enjoys it. Sarah is afraid of vampires. They symbolise corruption and depravity, but most of all because she is tempted by the power they have.
Little fluffy Nosferatu, Ankle-Biter Krysa Veinessa Thumb Whateley-Dickenson, is hankering down to watch the new Nosferatu film. Sadly, this photoshoot was before I knew of the existence of the sarcophagus popcorn bucket, so our traditional one will have to do!
I'm not sure if she can eat the popcorn, but she does like holding them.
(Thank you to @greenfinchwriter @takeiteasyonmeimstilllearning @thatbluevampire and @vladimirsangel for giving her her lovely names!)
I don't like OC bio templates, so I tackled this with my best work attitude: sarcasm and chaos.
Pierce is from my novel, Gothic Tales from Melancholia.
Amanda. Artist. Writer. Victorian vampire. Here lies my shenanigans.
