đ„ș support a black lgbt owned bookstore trying to open in the south? Bc I want to go there when they open? Thank u?
Look at them
From the Kickstarter: âToday, Durham is without a Black-owned bookselling storefront and the handful of bookstores in the area do not, at present, offer an expansive cross-genre collection of Black literature. This is the gap that Rofhiwa hopes to fill: (1) creating a space for collective imagining, where children and adults may find and share stories that reflect who they are (2) fostering the convivial atmosphere that is seminal to creating the bookcafĂ© as a communal space (3) offering a deep collection of works by Black writers that invites readers to explore what it means to be Black here, over there and everywhere where Black people make life.â

Do it for the black lgbts in the south !!! Thank u !!!
See this picture? This comes from a town in Canada where a 24 pack of water bottles is 104 dollars and formula milk for a baby is priced at 55 dollars a pack. Whatâs more, a pack of diapers is 95 dollars and one head of lettuce is 26 dollars. Inuit people are starving in a country known for itâs generosity.
If you donât believe this is true, you can find more images like this here. This is the only grocery store these people have in their small towns, and many people are going hungry & elderly are dying faster.
Youâll send aid to foreign children that are starving, so why wonât you pay a little extra to feed the people in your own country who work hard & still canât afford the prices for healthy food for their families?
Please have a heart and reblog this photo to raise awareness that even in our own countries people are starving, join the movement and show the government that we wonât sit by and watch people starve.Â
If you think this will make your blog ugly youâre wrong. Children in a first world country are getting sick & starving, and nobody is even aware itâs happening. You can let people know by reblogging and showing you care. People I am close to, my friends and future in-laws are going through this.Â
my favorite tumblr ecosystem
I think that sometimes, having autism/ADHD is kind of like being in a country that speaks a language/has a culture you only know a little of.
âąYou think youâre good to go, but you get to your destination, and everyoneâs speaking faster than you thought they would. You can only tell what a few words are.
âąYou canât keep up with anything anyone is saying. Theyâre all speaking too fast, and all at once. You try to ask them to slow down and speak one at a time, but they brush you off.
âąYou go to a restaurant, and you think you know how to order, but you sit down and see things you never learned on the menu, and when it comes time to order, you canât remember how to.
âąWhen you look around, you canât quite understand what all the signs and store names say. Slowly, you get a headache from reading them and trying to translate them into something that makes sense.
âąWhen you do something normal in your country, people stare at you like youâve grown a second head. You donât understand whyâitâs completely normal to you, something you do all the time. When you explain this to them, they shake their heads and click their tongues at you and make a generalization about your country.
Idk, this is just kinda how I view it!
A friend of mine posted this and tagged my old instagram account, asking me to share it. I figured sharing it here where I actually have a following, would be far better.
Please remember that just because the government is giving into pressure and greed, that doesnât mean that any of this is getting any better, in a lot of ways itâs getting worse. And even if you yourself arenât being as heavily affected anymore, there are people and communities that are.
Stay safe Darling ones, and help others remain safe too.

Do you consider yourself an "anti"?
no im a person with a functioning brain is what i am, the internet trying to reduce this down to just some ideological difference with bizarro reductionist terms to try and reframe the issue at hand as a simple disagreement on preference is fvcking ridiculous and only serves to protect those who can and have fvcked up actual real people.
if you look at the image of, explicit representation of, what is in context and confirmed as a 9 year old child and go âwhat if they had s3xâ, that is a problem, that is not healthy behavior, and to treat that me being appalled by and hating that people are spreading written and drawn child p*rnography is just me being some âantiâ is like. where is your head even at, where did everyoneâs critical thinking skills go?
please take a minute to evaluate the actual issue at hand.
Can we like, not support circuses like that anymore?
Iâm a trypanophobic, meaning I am afraid of needles. My phobia has caused me to put off or completely avoid injections out of fear. However, recently I found something that helps immensely, the ShotBlocker, by Bionix.
From Bionixâs website,
âBionix ShotBlockerÂź is an innovative device that instantly alleviates the pain and anxiety of needle injections. ShotBlockerÂź works through a novel application of the gate control theory of pain management. It is a plastic, C-shaped device with small bumps on its back. When pressed firmly against the skin at the injection site, ShotBlockerÂź saturates the sensory nerves and distracts the patient from pain signals caused by the needle poke. The device is both simple and easy to use, bringing comfort to users of all ages.â
The bumps arenât sharp. Hereâs a picture of my hand after I pressed the ShotBlocker to it:
Hereâs a picture of the instructions that come with it:
My doctor had no problems administering the shot, and I felt no pain. I donât mean that as in âjust a small stingâ, I mean that the needle felt just like one of the plastic nubs. Absolutely no pain at all. I was stunned.
Of course, it doesnât get rid of the anxiety/dizziness/nausea that I get during injections. But with time, I think Iâll be able to train myself out of that.
You can buy them on Bionixâs website for 5.99 USD, I think I got mine from Amazon for a few cents less. Theyâre reusable and relatively inexpensive. Iâd recommend them to anyone.
