So.......... I might have become obsessed with MDZS too I redrew my favorite book illustration, and added the color (original artwork by Marina Privalova)

I've uploaded the first 11 seasons of Red vs Blue (in the complete episode format, compiling all episodes of each season into season-wide features) to this drive so it can safely be watched for free at any time, since I worry that we will soon no longer easily have access to the show in light of recent events. I'm working towards finding and downloading seasons 12-15 as well

i'm at the mount tonglun part of the story and just can't help imagining it from the state preceptor's point of view:

state preceptor stands inside the mountain, trying to discuss his plans with the mountain spirit. then:

a screaming, banished ex-heavenly official runs past

another heavenly official runs past, in dogged pursuit of the first one

am exiled god and a ghost girl make it rain scorpion-snakes for some reason and they do it so much that snakes get stuck halfway in the moving walls

a bit further away, a currently-male-but-actually-a-woman god is getting dragged around by their robes like a sack of rice, so very much not in control it's not even funny (to them. to us it's very funny)

even further away, a godly general is punching the walls with a makeshift 'weapon' made of a poisoned femur bone, so hard that the bone cracks

and when/if the state preceptor tries to open up a new path, what would he have found? his darling ex-mentee protegé using the "walls are moving" excuse to grind against a ghost king as they make puppy eyes at each other xD

state preceptor: "..."

state preceptor: "that's it! i quit!"

i love this story. it's just so... chaotic!!

hot take lan wangji would absolutely for sure scrap all day every day no hesitation whatsoever. the only reason he doesn’t is bc no one is stupid enough to piss him off (until wei ying ofc). you get one glare, maybe two if he’s feeling patient, and then it’s instant hands. truly a miracle wwx did not take more of a beating when he was at his most insufferable. in the library w the magazine lwj literally said catch me outside so i can beat ur ass. he’s soooooo ready to challenge any and everyone he meets. jzx (either of them tbh) says literally Anything and bichen is OUT. blades at DAWN. AND noon. and you know what, fuck it, blades at dusk too. in middle school he fought wen xu and all his goons One time when he was like 12 and he beat their asses so bad that shit followed him all the way to college. legendary. everyone knows lwj is in love w wei ying bc of the lack of duels. anyone else would certainly have been punched in the face. but no wwx just gets sideye. and ignored. which only ENCOURAGES him. in fact if anyone else tries to put a stop to wwx shenanigans lwj glares at YOU. everyone says ah yes, face of jade, so serene. meanwhile on the inside he is full of lust and also more importantly rage. i Love him. he said sometimes violence is the solution actually. but only when i do it. pristine.

also that scene in the book where lwj magics wwx stuck on top of him in bed is like

wwx: i’m going to straddle him and bring our faces super close together to gross him out until he kicks me out and i simply won’t think about why none of this grosses me out haha

lwj: sigh.

the more you act like this, the more certain i am you’re you, dumbass
