got a ride to and from work

took a nap

got some extra hours scheduled for work cause moneyyyy

ate some spicy cheesey ramen (that's all I've been craving lately ahh)

did some self reflecting on this last week

got to zoom my boyfriend

🩷 What Could've Been Better:

work was honestly pretty bad, so work could have been so much better

my restlessness was ramped up

drank a soda after having coffee and had lots of energy

ended my work shift near tears due to immense lower back and stomach cramps + dehydration

roommates at my muenster cheese which made me sad cause I wanted to make a grilled cheese last night

🩷 Stuff to do tomorrow:

deep-ish clean my bathroom

deep-ish clean my bedroom

wash my sheets + bed stuff

wash robes + towels in bathroom

finish chem class prep due on sunday

finish chem class prep that's due monday

maybe study chemistry if time and energy permits

do some light Spanish studying/passive input

that's all! Saturday was definitely probably the worst day this last week. but at least it's Sunday now (posting this on Sunday morning <3)

Daily Check-in - July 24, 2023 🎀

Day 2 was a little different than yesterday, mainly because I had to work an 8 hour shift today, and it wore me out 😭 I still managed to do my morning routine and part of my night routine, so I am really happy with how today turned out regardless!

🩷 What I Ate Today:

Breakfast - A two good vanilla Greek yogurt bowl with cacao and cashew butter granola, a sliced up banana, chia seeds, and some peanut butter! And of course, a cup of coffee and water

Lunch - Salad, topped with Tuna (mixed withavocado oil mayo), small pieces of sharp cheddar cheese, and shredded carrots, and a bowl of watermelon

Dinner - Low carb quesadilla, three air fried Tyson chicken strips, more watermelon, and another coffee

Other - I tried these new electrolyte tablets that were recommended to me, and while I did not like the taste, I noticed a difference in my energy and how I overall felt going back to work after lunch

Water - currently 72oz, but I have another bottle of water on my desk that I plan on finishing by the time I go to sleep

🩷 Workout - Pilates Abs + Nighttime Stretches

This was the first one I *attempted*, and I found it a bit difficult to keep up with mainly because it was my first day back to exercising after a three week break. I did enjoy the format and the exercises were pretty beginner friendly! 8.2/10

This is the next one I did and I really enjoyed it! I loved the movements themselves and while I do wish it had actually been 10 minutes, it was super easy on the body! 9.7/10, I recommend

I had to stop halfway through this one because I am not fit enough to keep up with a chloe ting ab video just yet, although I loved the exercises included and I absolutely love her vibe in all her videos! 8/10

I ended the night with the same stretch video as I like the hip stretching, and it's currently a bit of a challenge since I'm not very flexible right now. 9.3/10

Made my bed this morning

Did morning and night skincare

Guided journal morning and night

Stretch 5+ min before bed

Read 10+ pages of a book

Workout for 30+ min

Still need to work on morning meditation and doing my daily journaling, but I'm proud of what I've kept up with so far!

Overall, Day 2 is considered a success! I can't wait for tomorrow, I genuinely look forward to the things I get to do each day, especially now that I'm on this journey and documenting it. I look forward to being able to look back one day and be proud of how far I've come!

Mini Update September 3rd, 2023 🎀

Hey girlies! I was genuinely planning on restarting my routine last week but I ended up falling really bad on Wednesday and ended up with a moderately injured lower back and shoulders, whiplash, a skinned right knee, right wrist pain, and I have had trouble walking due to my ankles being the reason why I fell in the first place. (thank you pink platform vans)

I have also had to work at my semi-physically demanding job while injured so I had to buy pain patches and a heating pad and pain medication. Safe to say I have not been having fun.

I am going to restart my morning routine, my skincare routine, and all of my current goals (including some new ones - I'll post an updated goals/routine list soon!) and I plan on starting all this tomorrow as it's the beginning of a month and tomorrow is a Monday so i feel like it's the right timing alignment to push me into gear!

I've honestly fell off of doing my skincare, journaling, workouts, and waking up early overall. So I'm going to start out small, and once I'm physically healed, I'm going to incorporate more workouts and movement into my routine. So for now, school, nutrition, and my health are still priorities but in a different plan of action!

Thank you, guys, for sticking by me through my periods of inactivity, but I check my app every day, and I really appreciate you guys!

this blog is going to be more active, and I think I'll start posting some studyblr content as well since I am a student and want to stay accountable for that too!

are you really sensitive to caffeine? i can have an espresso at 11 pm and be asleep by midnight

I take a medication for my health that if I don't take it, 2 cups of coffee sends my anxiety spiraling. If I do take it, I can have 4 cups up until 7pm and still be asleep by 9/10pm. I'm not super sensitive to caffiene by any means, but because I have anxiety, I have my limits with how much I consume.

Yesterday was such a good day. Posting this a day late so by yesterday, I mean Monday the 27th!

8 minutes on the stairmaster as a warm up for my workout

1 hour and 10 minutes of weight lifting- glite/leg day

ate a good amount of protein

drank a liter of essentia electrolyte water

walked over 10k steps

📚 Intellectual Health

I know for a fact that I did nothing for that day

🏘 Adulting

made a list of financial goals I'd like to accomplish next year and am working on building systems to accomplish them

I need to start taking and using my own photos on here, I feel like these pinterest ones don't do it for me anymore. but we'll see how successful I am at maintaining that.

I did not finish as much as I wanted yesterday, mostly because I came home from work and immediately began the process of bleaching and dying my hair purple. It took about 6 hours total and looking back, I definitely could've spent some of the wait time taking notes or reading, so at least I know to be more mindful of that. (I dye my hair at home)

What I Accomplished Yesterday (March 29) ✨️

spent 55min working on Chapter 9 notes for exercise physiology (need to complete them and start chapter 10 ASAP today)

worked 9am to 3pm

washed dishes

dyed my hair purple

ordered necessities from the store

night time skincare + showered

So yeah, it was not the most productive day I don't think, but today has the opportunity to be a better day for that stuff, so I'll make use of the time I have today in a better way.

Todo Today (March 30th) 🌻

finish chapter 9 notes for exercise physiology 📖

begin chapter 10 notes for exercise physiology 📖

complete one assignment from my course assignments list 💻

work 9am to 3pm 🍵

I really hope I won't be ad tired today as I have been lately. it's seriously not fun coming home from work exhausted or waking up and not wanting to move because I'm still so tired. But I know I'll get some stuff done today for sure. Luckily, none of my current todos have a strict deadline, so I can go easy on myself if needed.

I am so tired!!! This weekend has worn me out. I worked almost 9 hours on Friday, 13 hours on Saturday, and about 6 hours today, and I'm scheduled for another 9 hours at my job tomorrow. I'm so happy that I'm getting money for the things I need to buy but I'm so tired now.

Anywho, onto today's breakdown:

🩷 What I Ate Today:

Brunch - Two cheese breadsticks and half a slice of pepperoni pizza w 8oz of Dr pepper

After Work - One bowl of spicy Ramen w some fiesta blend cheese mixed in

Dinner - One home grilled cheeseburger and some baked French fries w ketchup and a can of Dr pepper

Extra - Three cups of coffee and a lot of water

It's not my best, but I'm tired, and I needed the energy. Hopefully, I can have something healthy tomorrow, like a smoothie or something for breakfast.

🩷 Personal Goals Achieved Today -

Did two loads of laundry (did not put away yet)

Showered and washed hair after work

Took out my trash (bedroom and bathroom)

Washed pillowcases and put back on my pillows

Planned out the upcoming week

Planned tomorrow mornings workout!!

I am planning on easing back into working out now that my back feels better. I'm trying to focus on some easier workouts that won't make it easy to re injure myself. I'm so excited to get back into my routine for the morning!

🩷 Productive Academic Accomplishments -

took and passed my PSYC Ch 3 Quiz

Passed the first 6/16 modules for a training certificate for my PSYC class

Almost completed my PSYC Chapter 3 Notes

Planned out homework for the week

I was recommended to check this song out by a fellow blog, and it was the best decision I made, I absolutely love this song!! I would tag them, but I'm so sleepy that I don't wanna tag the wrong one!

I feel like today was definitely a good day to go easy on myself, work and productivity wise. I didn't want to stress myself out and I was successful, I think. Still trying to get my nutrition in order but it will all come together in time. I'm here for the journey to my best self, not some end goal. I never want to stop improving myself or learning.

I'm falling asleep as I type this, but I will be posting about my Japanese language goals tomorrow so stay tuned!

Day 11 - 90 Day Challenge 🎀

Yesterday (11-25) was kind of productive? I ended up working a 5 hour shift at my job instead of the 8 hour one I was supposed to which by no means upset me because I still made money either way. I tried to get some stuff done beforehand but I honestly just took the morning for rest. I also go back to work this morning as well so I'm really happy to get back to routine.

🏋‍♀️ Physical Health

took a 30+ minute walk around campus before I had to go to work

walked 9778 steps total

ate a really good salad with tomato, cucumber, romaine, shredded carrots, and balsamic vinegrette. (who knew balasamic vinegrette was so yummy!)

drank half a liter of essentia electrolyte water

stopped eating breakfast when I was comfortably satisfied and didn't push past my limits

ate 2 servings of fruit + 1 serving of almonds + 1 serving of cashews (so yummy, cashews and almonds for the win)

🧠 Mental Health

nothing that I can remember at the moment

❤️ Emotional Health

some more retail therapy. bought myself some oversized t shirts online to use as gym shirts/everyday shirts. I may be plus size but I still love me an big comfy t shirt, especially to workout. I think I bought 11 or 12 shirts? cost me 90$ USD.

📚 Intellectual Health

does it count if I said I did a lot of budgeting for what I was buying?

because otherwise, nothing else

🏘 Adulting

worked a 5 hour shift

phone call + zoom call with my boyfriend

took care of some laundry I had previously washed (still have more to take care of)

🥰 Self Love/Care

morning skincare

that's about it, but I think the walk helped my anxiety, and retail therapy always feels like self love because I used to feel guilty for buying myself stuff

Yesterday was a good day for sure. Today, my goals are to make it through my work shift, complete my reflection paper that's due tomorrow night, drink one liter of essentia electrolyte water, answer a journal prompt, and set myself up for tomorrow morning (I have a 730am class on Mon and Wed, so I gotta be up bright and early tomorrow!)

My Mondays are always so busy. Here's a little breakdown for those who are curious:

Wake up early, get ready, coffee, skincare, pack school bag, set out work stuff

Class at 730am to 845am

class from 9am to 1015am

quick snack at the dining hall at 1025am

review homework/tasks for the week

gym from 11am to 1215pm

walk home

shower, eat something proteiny, get ready for work

walk to work 130pm

work from 2pm to 10pm

get home, change/shower, zoom boyfriend

go to sleep by 11ish pm

I love Mondays tho, the routine always sets me up for the week!

Monday was officially the first day of my summer and it was a good day despite how emotional I was (thank you birth control shot). I got a good amount of stuff done and I just overall feel really good about Monday.

🩷 What I Accomplished:

10 Min Ballet/Pilates Legs Workout by Move With Nicole (it burned so good, I loved that one)

morning journal + morning skincare

finished Good Vibes Good Life (definitely a good read, i liked what it talked about a lot)

did a small load of laundry

went to a doctor's appointment (got my birth control shot, did lab work, and got an ekg done)

worked a ~4.5 hour shift at my job (they called me in and it was super chill)

filled out my unemployment certification

💞 Good Things That Happened:

got to hang out with my dad

dad and I got burger king for lunch <3

talked to my doctor about some healthy habits to adopt to help a mild medical issue we discovered and got told some good stuff

got a ride home from my favorite supervisor

discovered a new youtuber to watch (Sandy Diana Bang, I really like her content! very much that girl/pilates girl aesthetic)

💗 Stuff For Tuesday

actually spend some time studying spanish

start reading Atomic Habits again, this time annotating and really making notes in it (found a pdf that I can write in using my goodnotes app!!)

work a ~4 hour shift

workout in the morning

morning skincare + journaling

night time skincare + journaling

wash my comforter (maybe do it on wednesday?)

Today is going to be a very relaxing, restorative day, as I have work tomorrow and had a really rough night last night. Nothing too difficult or too set in stone for me. Just a todo list of things I WANT to do today that'll benefit me the best.

This summer so far, I've been indulging in hobbies, which is what I plan on spending all day today doing!

ToDo Today (May 26) 🌻

watercolor painting practice

color a full page in one of my coloring books

begin reading a new book (I just finished The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo and omg it was so so good)

list a few more clothing items on depop

wash dishes

job search, just a little bit

budget the money I'm getting later this week

journal about life a little bit

take a nap

Those are the only things I want to make sure I get done today, I don't care what order or how long they take. Today is all about relaxing and having a good, easy, restful day.
