did not do much today by my standards but Iโ€™m still recovering from this cold plus my allergies are acting up so Iโ€™ve been in bed a lot of today. I did accomplish some things tho so it was not a fully unproductive day for me!

๐Ÿฉท What I Ate Today -

Breakfast - boiled chicken potstickers, hash browns with ketchup, and a coffee

Lunch - bowl of spaghetti with two pieces of buttered bread

Dinner - two slices of dominoes handmade pan pepperoni pizza and three slices of cheese bread

Extra - three more cups of coffee and not near enough water, half a green smoothie made with frozen fruits, spinach, and almond milk

I have not been eating the best recently and I know that, but I think thatโ€™s due to my hormones being messed up at the moment, my current sickness, my extreme fatigue and exhaustion, and a lack of physical activity in my life. However, I decided Iโ€™m going to try to go to the gym and get on the treadmill (maybe do some strength training if Iโ€™m feeling confident enough) at my university activity center at least three days a week so that way I can start getting some of my energy back and gain some more discipline and control in my life. Iโ€™m hoping I get to the point where I can be a runner again, I miss my 8 minute mile time, my running playlist, and how free I felt when Iโ€™d go running. So thatโ€™s a new goal of mine as well! My boyfriend even said we can go jogging together when I see him next weekend, so Iโ€™m looking forward to that for sure!

๐Ÿฉท Personal Accomplishments -

Did the dishes

Brought my laundry from the dryer to my room (have yet to put away clean clothes)

Night time skincare

Studied Duolingo/Busuu for ~20 minutes

Skimmed through first Genki lesson in preparation for actually studying from the textbook

Showered and washed my hair

made a tentative workout schedule in google calendar for next week

๐Ÿฉท Academic Accomplishments -

completed and submitted extended assignment for psychology class

completed and submitted lab report for anatomy lab

began paper set up for first section of research study paper for psychology class

again, not a super productive day but Iโ€™m still happy with it. I got a decent amount of stuff done and I have some stuff I want to accomplish tomorrow, which I will list below.

Complete a rough draft of first section of research study paper before 10am psychology lab

Begin taking notes for module six for my health for sport and fitness class

Complete practical assignment for health for sport and fitness class

~20 minutes japanese study using apps

not the most specific personal goals but still things that I know I can achieve! Iโ€™m super tired and itโ€™s not even that late and I havenโ€™t done much this week. Thatโ€™s how I know I made the right decision to take time for myself. always have your own best interest at heart, in a positive and healthy way! Donโ€™t push past your limits and donโ€™t let yourself burn out! Itโ€™s easier said than done but taking care of yourself is so important! Thatโ€™s something I need to continually remind myself!

My university resumes classes tomorrow! I am so excited to really begin and solidify my morning routine and get back into the school mindset and grind. I'm really planning on being successful this semester.

With the new semester starting, I figure it's time to set out some new goals and things I want to accomplish this semester.

Fall Semester Goals ๐ŸŒธ

๐Ÿฉท Academic Goals -

Pass every class with an A, no exceptions. I took on an easy class load for a reason.

Join 1 or 2 clubs. There's a club related to my major that I'm looking into, as well as a kpop club and a Japanese club that I'm looking into joining if I have the ability to.

Put effort into my classes. Don't miss class without a solid, valid excuse. Actually study and review class material outside of lectures. Ask questions in class and don't be afraid to go to office hours or tutoring.

๐Ÿฉท Personal Goals

Stick to a consistent morning routine! Workout, journal, read, make my bed, skincare, etc. Consistency builds confidence.

Pamper myself regularly. For me, this means the occasional retail therapy moment and getting my nails done every 4 to 6 weeks. I don't normally get my nails due to the nature of my job, but if I keep my nails short and not too flashy, it'll be great! My first appointment is at the end of this week, and I'm excited! The picture of nails I included is actually how I'm getting mine done!!

Routinely attend appointments. That includes lab work, therapy, psych, dental, and general physician appointments. My health is a priority, and I want to make sure I stay on top of it this semester.

๐Ÿฉท Social Goals

Attend study group sessions when applicable

Again, join a club or two. It's the best way to make friends with similar interests.

Attend social networking events on my campus. They have career fairs and professional fairs all the time. As a junior in university, I think it's time I start building some connections for future internship and career opportunities.

I also have some physical goals, but I will not be including those here as to not accidentally trigger anyone. I don't have particular deadlines for any of the goals I mentioned, but I feel like it's important to have these goals so I know the direction I want my semester to go in.

I'm really excited for this semester. It's time I put my best foot forward and succeed. I know I can do this. My GPA will increase, I will recieve more scholarships, and I will pass everything with high marks. I believe in myself.

I was supposed to work a long double shift today at my normal job and then a kinda side job task that involves talking to a ton of people and being out late at night. I've decided I'm going to tell my bosses I can't do it, because the anxiety I've felt about doing it has made me thrown up already ๐Ÿ˜…

I have been in such a slump lately (hence my extended hiatus from this blog). But now that things are starting to look up, I am slowly getting my life back together the way I'd like it to be.

As the title says, can everyone comment or repost with language learning tips/resources/bits of knowledge, study tips/resources, anything productivity related, and any motivational or supportive things you guys would like to share? Ohh, and self care tips, time management tips, any advice you have about anything regarding getting out of a slump?

This weekend was rough. My grandma passed away and I found out at the end of a 13 hour work shift, so it made for a difficult night to say the least. But today was a decent day. Got lots of steps and had an overall pretty good day.

completed lab 19 pre lab for chemistry

complete 8/10 assignments for my intro to business class

took a nap

did my morning and night skincare

journaled in the morning

filled out my planner for the week

booked a tattoo appointment for October

๐ŸŽจ Random Stuff From The Day

got a ride to and from lab with one of my roommates and found out she's actually a giant sweetheart, her and I are both just two awkward people

ordered taco bell for dinner cause why not

need to start taking creatine again, but I've stopped working out cause life. need to get back to it

am going to pull extra hours at work cause I definitely wanna make sure I can pay for my tattoo and all my bills

forgot to take my meds, whoops

Today was an interesting day, and it's not over yet! Though I do need to go to bed a bit early, since I'm waking up at 4:00am during the weekdays. I'm very satisfied with the things I did today, and I still have plans to do some more of my daily habits.

๐Ÿฉท What I Ate Today:

Breakfast - Iced Coffee, One gala apple (chopped), One banana (chopped), One serving of peanut butter

Lunch - Salad, topped with Tuna (mixed with avocado oil mayo), small pieces of sharp cheddar cheese, and shredded carrots, and one bolillo roll

Dinner - One bowl of spaghetti with marinara sauce, a bit of parmesean cheese, and one bolillo roll with butter

Snack - One bowl of watermelon

Other - Two cups of iced coffee with French vanilla creamer

Water ~ 24oz I need to utilize my new water bottle and drink more water on the weekends

Day 28-29: 90 Day Challenge ๐ŸŽ€

For yesterday (Wednesday) and today, I've done very close to absolutely nothing due to immense lack of sleep and trying to recover from all the exhaustion of being unable to sleep properly.

I knee this challenge wasn't going to be easy all the time, but after napping a bit today and working out my daily tasks and schedules for the next week, I'm feeling confident about tomorrow. I've decided to incorporate a lot more health and wellness activities into my daily routines, especially since I am unable to take my mental health medications due to insurance issues. I figure it is up to me to take charge of my health, sort of as it's own side challenge to keep myself healthy and stable and sane.

Insurance issues aside, I plan to budget for bi weekly therapy sessions, as even without medication, therapy has been life changing for me and luckily I can still see my therapist for a reduced price per session.

This challenege will be a bit more wellness, health and overall productivity based moving forward until the semester starts again which will lead it to be more school/intellectual focused.

I am definitely tasked with a heavy load of mental and physical self work, but these next 5 weeks of low stress and low priorities will give me the building tools I need.

I feel like that's a good amount of stuff to have gotten done yesterday, given I really wasn't feeling like doing much. Work had been so tiring lately, I'm almost glad the semester is ending because of the toll that work is taking on me physically now. On the bright side, I should be getting promoted in April, so hopefully, things ease up once that happens.

I want to start studying languages again, and of course I'm stuck between my favorite three: Spanish, Korean, or Japanese. I have lots of Japanese study resources, I live in a high population of Spanish speakers, and I listen to lots of music and media in Korean. Which one(s) do I start with to ease back into it? Pick one? All three? Help a girl out!!
