okay i think in bkg’s general life he’s only around children on the job? like he’s got fans that are lil kids and sometimes they see him on the street. they’d always say hi to him and point saying “mr dynamight!” and i’m so convinced bakugou does not change his voice for kids, he doesn’t have a baby voice for them, just speaks in his normal gruff voice and the kids don’t mind lol because it’s like he’s in character like he is on tv. he’d always bend down a little for a high five and rub their heads with a tiny smile. aside from fanservicey work he doesn’t talk to kids much but he doesn’t mind them.

so for the interview it would be bakugou in the middle, a computer in front, a little eight year old and a five year old. comments awhing saying how cute he looks, how one kid is literally the size of his arm and he’s so much bigger than them. and lots of shots of all three of them looking to the producers for what’s next wide eyed like puppies LMAO. but anyways BEFORE THAT when bakugou would walk in with a little bow, the kids automatically are awhed by how big he is and the eight year old gasps recognising him.

bakugou gives a breathy chuckle at the reaction, in his long sleeved black henley top and simple jeans, setting himself down between them both. he shakes both of their hands and says “nice to meet you guys, my name is bakugou katsuki.” the five year old only being able to grab two of his fingers, a wide smile on his face missing a couple teeth and the other eight year old is still flabbergasted, head nodding rapidly at the introduction. then the two boys say their own names, the five year old with a little stutter to which bakugou nods to like he’s listening intently and the eight year old stutters too but out of pure nervousness.

“what d’you think i do?” bakugou asks on script, rubbing his hands together and looking between them both. and i feel like in their society with someone as massively built as bakugou you’re already assuming he does some type of hero work? like the man has muscles everywhere and looks like he could pick up tons of people at once.

the five year old speaks first, “are you a police man?” and he shakes his head with a deep chuckle, eyes squinting a little at the boy, “nah, i do just a little more than that.” then turns to the eight year old who’s eyes are gleaming at bakugou like he’s a god, “what about you kid?”

“y-you’re pro hero lord explosion murder dynamight, debuted officially at 18 years old and currently number two on the charts.”

“damn you know your stuff, don’t you?” and bakugou is consciously holding back his swearing, opting for damns instead of holy fucks and stuff instead of shit. he gives the older boy a teethy smile and playfully nudges his arm very lightly, watching the boy curl on himself in slight embarrassment from giving so much detail.

then he turns to talk to them both, “like little man here said, i’m a pro hero and yeah, i’ve been doing this for nearly seven years now. seven years since i got my proper licence.” and bakugou himself looks like he’s reminiscing even just mentioning how long he’s been doing this for and he shakes himself back to reality, “today we’re gonna go through my career, showin’ you some pics and videos of me doing my thing.”

the five year old speaks up, clocking onto what’s being said, “you’re a hero?” and his eyes widen like saucers, “s’you fight bad guys? beat dem all up?”

“yeah, i try my best to. sometimes i get help from my friends and we do it all together,” he says softly and it reminds him of when he was his age, watching heroes on the news and just being amazed.

when the first picture pops up onto the computer, bakugou’s about to ask his scripted question till he feels the five year old softly palming his thigh. “i can’t see!” he mumbles, trying to climb his thigh to get closer to the screen and the producers are on their feet to move the boy off him and tilt the screen so they can all see better but bakugou quickly just waves them off.

“d’you wanna sit on my lap? d’you think you can see then?” he peers down at the kid, asking for permission and when the kid nods with a little “yes please,” bakugou slides his hands under his arms and plops him on his lap. the child grins, the light from the screen glowing on his round cheeks. without meaning to, the eight year old on bakugou’s other side feels a little left out so he presses himself closer into his arm and for the rest of the interview they’re all stuck together talking amongst themselves.

“so do you boys know who these two losers are?” bakugou asks, an candid image of him, todoroki and midoriya in their hero uniforms. they’re all mid running and it’s a pretty sick shot he thinks. the boys both ignore the word losers, nodding their heads and both leaning in to get a better look.

“dat one’s deku!” says the youngest and the oldest chips in with “and that’s shoto, half hot half cold.”

bakugou clicks his tongue in disbelief, quirking an eyebrow, “so you know the green haired idiot but you didn’t know who i am?” he says to the youngest with a frown and the kid looks up at him with the shiniest widest eyes like he’s in trouble. slowly like a balloon deflating, katsuki’s frown becomes a smile and both kids begin bubbling with laughter.

the next image was what reporters would call a victory image. it was so very dramatic. a scene of dusty rubble and broken buildings, a dark sky and front and centre was bakugou with a man on his back, another on his shoulder and a woman in his arms. his uniform was torn across the centre revealing the thick bloody gash underneath and he only had one gauntlet left on. it’s an image bakugou’s seen a lot in his career and every time it evokes the same emotion. hard, painful disappointment.

but the seven year old beside him doesn’t react the same, he’s almost bouncing with excitement looking at it, pure adoration looping through his features with glowing cheeks. bakugou introduces the image and he finds it hard to hide his negativity. with a low stormy look in his eyes, “this was a mission from two years ago. it-it didn’t go as well as my team hoped and we lost a lot of people that day.”

bakugou assumed the studio would get quiet, staff would begin to mumble behind the cameras and the kids pull away from him in disgust. but they don’t, the seven year old can barely hold in his thoughts, “this fight was insane! you looked so cool! me and my friends watched it together and they thought you wouldn’t come out but i knew you would! and you did with so many people! it was so crazy!”

and both bakugou’s eyebrows raise at that, and he needs to remind himself he’s speaking to kids. not government officials forcing statistics down his throat. “that’s what it looks like kid, but more people died-passed away-than we expected-“

“but look how many people you saved! and there was more than just the people in the picture! i remember the clips afterwards!” he cuts in and his eyes are practically gleaming at bakugou, little hands holding onto his knees as his legs swing on the chair.

bakugou doesn’t know what to say back to him, because it’s true he did also save more people than he expected that day too. the littlest one on his lap chips in too, “you look so big and strong mr dynamight.” and he holds up both his arms like he’s a weightlifter, trying to tense his little biceps with a cute playful smile. and the smile is infectious because one creeps up onto bakugou’s face too.

“you two aren’t too bad, are you?”

and lastly it’s a red carpet image of bakugou in a tuxedo and his arm around you in an expensive glittery floor length dress. it’s a gorgeous image, bakugou staring down at you whilst you’re mid laughter with a palm on his chest.

all three of the boys eyes are fixated on the image, mostly on you. and it’s like bakugou regresses into a smug teenage boy at the picture, forgetting to include the details of where you both were. “that’s my girl. pretty ain’t she?”

and the two boys hum in unison, the youngest poking you on the screen with a tiny fat finger, “yes very pretty.” and the eight year old is mumbling a little, “yeah she is.”

bakugou grins, his hand reaching up to play with his chain you bought him around his neck, “her name is yn. she’s been with me through it all, since the beginning. i love her a lot.” bakugou twists a question to them, “who do you guys love in your life?”

“my mumma!” the little one on his lap shouts and bakugou nods along with him.

“i love my mum too. how ‘bout you?”

and the seven year old looks a little nervous, leaning even closer to katsuki like he’s about to tell a deep secret, “i love this girl in my class. i haven’t told her yet though.” he looks down at his hands at the end, embarrassed at his admission.

bakugou chuckles in his head but plays along with him, “you gotta tell her kid or someone else will tell her and she’ll like them back. don’t be a-“ and bakugou thinks of a more child appropriate term for pussy, “scaredy-cat.”

and the youngest one becomes a parrot, “tell her!”

bakugou holds up his pinky finger to the boy, “promise me you’ll tell her. good heroes always share how they feel.” and it’s like the boy was rejuvenated, energy sweeping into his limbs as he sits up straight to link pinky fingers.

“promise!”

bakugou at the beginning explaining his quirk and how it works, mentioning how it also makes him smell sweet like caramel and the youngest asking with owlish eyes, “can i smell?” (not even can i see but smell?) and bakugou replies with a slight smile, “‘m not gonna let you stick your head in my armpit, sorry kid.”

and after seeing the image of bakugou with a huge long gash on his chest, both boys ask to see the scar now and bakugou’s looking off camera to see if he should and with a nod from producers, he lifts his top up and both boys go “ooooooo”. then they ask so so politely if they can touch it, “does it hurt mr dynamight?” and bakugou plays with them, letting out a groan when they poke it and deeply chuckles when they flinch away thinking they hurt him, “only jokin’ it doesn’t hurt anymore. my girl loves it, thinks it makes me look cool.” and the boys nod along like bakugou’s personal bobble head supporters, “it does!” “you do look cool mr dynamight!”

imagine spending your whole childhood feeling like nothing, never cherish for being good or trying/doing your best. And then when you grow up you find someone who actually likes you, sees you as family, never said a mean thing about your disfigured face, and would trade his life for your happines...

...only for him to be murder in cold blood by a person who proudly stand besides the man who caused your life to be a living hell.

Seeing your shivering form as you choked out your words made him regret everything that came out of his mouth. He never meant to upset you, and he should've known better than to carelessly start yelling and attempting to walk out on you.

You on the other hand, were desperately grabbing his sleeve, tears running down your cheeks and unable to meet his eyes.

He cursed himself and dragged you gently into his arms.

Memories of the night you opened up to him came stabbing him in the heart. He knew all too well how much pain and suffering you had to endure after being abandoned by everyone you considered family.

He remembered promising to never hurt you or leave your side for as long as he lived, yet there he was, about to turn his back on you after a silly argument. And it didn't even matter that he was just going out for some fresh air, you didn't know, and that's the main issue.

_ "I'm sorry babe, I was just stepping out for a moment." He whispered against your temple and traced your back reassuringly. He hated being the reason for your tears after promising to never cause them.

He kept you in his hold until your sobs finally stopped. You lifted your head off his chest and watched him gently wipe your tears away.

_ "I don't wanna fight anymore Katsuki, I hate it when we do." And it broke his heart to hear you uttering those words, especially that your arguments are mainly over stupid things.

Contrary to popular belief, your boyfriend Shigaraki Tomura, the infamous villain, is in fact a gentle person when it comes to the few people he cares about.

Which is why when you recoiled, pushing yourself further into the corner, Tomura realized that he actually fucked up.

It was just a regular stupid fight over a regular stupid thing, and it meant absolutely nothing. But seeing you sheltering yourself in fear, Tomura felt like shit.

He never intended to raise his voice and he knew exactly the horrors you had lived through ever since you were a child.

_ "Y/n are you alright? Look at me please. I didn't mean to snap out I'm sorry." His voice was soft and warm. He wanted to touch you, to hold you close, but he didn't know if you were okay with it.

You trusted him more than anyone else in the world and he loathed himself for triggering all your anxieties, even if it was the last thing he wanted.

Guess there’s a new person to add to my list

Alright, imagine this cliche shit my brain just thought of:

The guys dare Bakugou to ask you out, knowing that he doesn't like you, and he does it only to prove that he can win any bet thrown his way.

The next day he asks you out, and you accept all enthusiastic. Bakugou throws a victorious smirk toward his friends, while the guys keep waiting to see where everything goes.

Bakugou is supposed to endure a date and make you swoon. He thinks it's going to be easy, like a walk in the park. What he doesn't expect is to actually enjoy your company, and ends up asking you out for another date. And another. And another one.

He learns you are incredibly clingy, in a horny way, and lords are you a tease... whenever given the chance you're all over him, touching him, kissing him, giving him boner after boner. And he loves it, he likes how affectionate you are.

His friends find it weird how Bakugou suddenly is sprawled on the couch, spooning you, watching a cheesy rom-com without blowing a fuse. What's weirder, is how Bakugou always brings you something to drink or eat whenever you slightly mention being hungry/thirsty.

" 'Suki!" You call out from the kitchen, and Bakugou is quick to abandon whatever his friends were planning to do.

"Yeah?"

"Can you show me that chicken noodle soup recipe?"

And the Baku squad is stunned to see their explosive friend forget about them in favor to help you out. Although, Bakugou ends up doing all the cooking, while you just gossip with Mina.

" 'Suki?"

"Hm" he is now pouring the soup into two bowls, and kisses your forehead when he's done.

"Do you think you could help me later with homework?"

"Yeah, got nothing better to do anyways." He shrugs, and sits behind you, arms around your mid section, head resting on your shoulder while you and Mina eat, giggling to yourselves.

One day, the guys - guys meaning Kaminari- confronts Bakugou about the bet, unaware that you, Mina and Jirou are right around the corner.

Kaminari moves to pay what owned to Bakugou, when you finally step into the common room, and Bakugou looks horrified.

"So, you asked me out because of a bet? That's all I am to you?"

Bakugou denies, well not really, he admits that initially he did it for a bet, but the dates after the second, and his current feelings are real. He pleads, in his way, to believe him, because he may be an asshole, but not a liar.

He waits for you to say something, anything, and he goes for cuddles, kissing your cheek and neck silently pleading for forgiveness. It might have started the wrong way, but his feelings are genuine. He likes you, way too much to let a stupid bet destroy what you and him had built in the last four months.

"Heard the guy?" You ask, turning toward Mina and Jirou, which both nod and hand you some cash.

"Damn, making blasty here fall for you, I accept my defeat" Jirou says, smiling.

"I bow down to you, my queen!" Mina dramatizes, she too sporting a big smile. Bakugou is confused, and so are the others.

Kirishima asks them what is going on, and Mina is quick to explain that she had heard them talk about the bet, and told you as soon as possible, which led to them too making a bet on their own. You vowed to make blasty fall for you, and it was an indisputable win.

Then, you turn to look at Bakugou, which is openly frowning.

"I win. You lose. Say it."

Bakugou swallows, pride slightly hurt, but still does as you said.

"Good boy" you kiss him, and Bakugou pulls you closer, nose nuzzling into the crook of your neck soon after.

"So... we still a thing?"
