The thing about Laios is that he's actively choosing what he thinks is the best decision most of the time, but a lot of people around him assume he's operating off of instinct or just crazy. It is narrated by Irene Norton née Adler, and additional to the fact that the author portrays Irene AND her relationship with Holmes in such a delightful way (Spoiler TM: They are not star-crossed lovers), it will completely rip out your heart.
