my hc’s for Bruce and his kids’ religions:

Bruce: raised Jewish and participates in Judaism practices but dosent know if he actually believes in it. (Probably does it because his parents did and he misses them)

Dick: his mother was Christian and his father just kinda went along with it. He used to go to church on Christmas and Easter but hasn’t been in years (since his mom died)

Jason: Catholic. His faith was kinda disrupted after he came back to life. I think after awhile he felt comfortable in his religion agin tho.

Cass: an atheist. She wasn’t raised to believe in a god. However I think she likes to participate in all of the traditions her family members practice.

Tim: was ‘raised’ catholic but later realized he was an atheist

Duke: He’s a Christian, not like a hardcore go to church Christian more of a, yeah I believe in god 🤷 not really a big deal

Damian: he’s Muslim and participates in its practices :3

Alfred: he’s an atheist.

The paparazzi somehow gets a hold of Damian shortly after he starts living with Bruce and leave fully convinced that "that child is the Antichrist. Brucie Wayne has been tricked into raising Satan's spawn, and he is too naive to notice."

The following articles lead to Damian being banned from talking to reporters and Bruce suing every tabloid in Gotham to get any speculation regarding his son's origins taken down, but it doesn't stop the rumors from spreading.

Years later, Damian is more adjusted to life outside the league, and the ban is lifted. Damian is finally officially introduced to the media, and after learning how to be a normal child, and with the influence of his older brothers, decides to play into the whole "might actually be the Antichrist" thing.

It becomes a part of his public persona, and Damian wayne is henceforth known as the maybe slightly too polite, somewhat ominous, short tempted heir to Gothams most successful business empire, and because it's Gotham people just expect that the city is probably getting pulled into Hell pretty soon and move on with their days because, what are they gonna do about it, he's a Wayne.

The joke that the bats see their contingency plans as a form of love is super fucking funny, don't get me wrong but honestly they probably do see it as that cause they just forget to say the second part out loud.

They come from gotham where mind altering substances are basically everywhere. One of the most profound ways a gothamite could say 'i care about you' is admitting to having a plan to disarm/capture you in the case you go off the deep end, so that they could then get you a cure.

Since I plugged this blog on my main I guess I should make a pinned post clarifying everything.

I made a silly little sideblog for talking about the Youtube tabletop RPG series made by Sequence Break, starting from Star Road Now, continuing with The Quiet Decay and Severed Strings.

If you're not familiar with it I suggest checking out the official playlist with all the episodes on Youtube to get a feel for it as well as the wiki (beware of spoilers for later parts), but tl;dr it's a collection of TTRPG campaigns set in the same continuity, in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure universe (albeit it strays from Jojo canon later on.) The events happen in a near-ish future (2088-2140) in the city of Electros, Japan and usually revolve around dealing with some kind of grand moral dilemma told through a series of labyrinthine fights and personal subplots. Also punchghosts. I'll elaborate on the specific parts of the series under the cut.

I won't be tagging spoilers since this is just a tiny thing I have on the side, so if you're interested in this series in any way I suggest you at least finish Star Road Now before continuing.

Star Road Now is generally centered around themes of dreams, self-improvement, potential and family. This is the first entry in the series set in the year 2130, and is the most popular one by far; in fact it's what you usually get when you search "jojo ttrpg" on Youtube. It sets the stage for the rest of the series and is a must-watch if you want to understand what's going on in the other two parts.

The Quiet Decay narrows the scope a bit while retaining some thematic ties to SRN (family and self-improvement are even more prevalent now), but it also explores the inner psyche of many of its characters through the mysterious phenomenon of Black Tears. It's the second entry in the series and is chronologically the earliest one, starting in autumn of 2088, and features some characters from Star Road Now as well as Severed Strings (as to why, see below)

Severed Strings is the third and latest entry in the Sequence Break Jojoverse and is still ongoing, having been run parallel with The Quiet Decay up until the latter's finale. It is a lot more experimental, taking concepts established in canon Jojo and flipping them on their head or otherwise playing with them, though it still retains strong thematic ties to SRN and TQD in the form of familial bonds and what they can mean to a person; it also introduces the theme of freedom and individuality to an extent which becomes more clear later on.

There are some spinoffs to the main series such as On The Road Again (a darker AU of Star Road Now featuring a completely new cast of characters) and Crystal River Romp (an ambiguously canon spinoff set in an amusement park), though I don't know much about them as I haven't watched much from either spinoff.

This blog has a tag system in place to make it easier for me to look for specific types of posts (ie a certain character/part/etc) and it's accessible through mobile as well as desktop. Feel free to reblog anything from here, I don't really care.

My favorite character is Hephaestus Brando from Severed Strings she is the light of my life my quirky little construction worker and generally funny little lady who lives in my head rent-free. I have a couple other characters I really like but you can figure those out on your own.

The batboys have a weird approach to their masks…

Like we all know that the masks are more than just a mask: they are advanced communication devices, heat sensors, cameras, lenses, etc. etc.

But different versions have different capacities: canonically Dick has mentioned that Batman’s cowl has longer range than Nightwing’s maks.

Which makes sense considering the size and weight of Batman’s gear: as Dick puts it “this weighs a ton!”

For Batman, Mr I’m ready for everything, having such a crippling gear makes sense: he adjusts his muscle strength, his movements, his fighting style to work with that weight.

But for Robins, oh it gets ridiculous!

For starters, Dick prefers agility, greater visibility and flexibility over advanced capabilities. His tech is smaller, lighter, provides necessary technological assistance without being a burden for his acrobatics.

Jason followed the same route during his both Robin and Red Hood years, with a twist… You see Red Hood’s helmet is non-technological! It doesn’t have any tech on it… Jason still relies on his mask for the tech: the helmet is expendable! It’s a last resort hand grenade for goodness sake! And because he separated from Batman, his system is pretty lowtech: Bab’s highlights that a lot saying Jason needs better encryption and tech.

Tim, however, goes back and forth with favoring advanced tech and agility. His cowl? Has all the tech Batman usually has… With all the disadvantages… Later he goes back to the Robin-style emphasis on agility. He goes through the same process with his wings. Functionality of the wing, flexibility, help with movement and agility… Those “goofy wings” from Robin War? Those were TIM wings! His struggle to balance BatTech with Robin-Batics!

Things get beyond ridiculous when we get to Damian, Mr All Authentic Martial Artist! The guy prefers to work alone, hates constant babbing, goes on undercover off the grid missions, Lazarus Island, Superboy stories… What do we end up seeing? Damn paint!!! Just two circles painted on his face!!! The guy is like “Fuck advanced weapons! I’m an advanced weapon!”

Which is sooooo funny to me…?…

Like the most lighthearted Robin is the one that favors light-tech, the darkest Robin is the one that prefers no tech, the most Bat Robin fluctuates between BatTech and Robin-Batics, and the most explosive Robin (not sorry for the pun) literally goes for explosive tech!

tried my hand in an ame fanon characterization spectrum inspired by this post. another axis i wouldve added is focus on genki-ness or focus on megane-ness... but im too lazy to do that so this is it. its not perfect but its from what ive seen in my experience

roughly where i'd put my ame in this map... but you'd add boy with girl. and in the genki-megane axis i think i'd be in the middle leaning into genki

Dick has the build of a gymnast (obviously), Jason has the build of a hockey player, Tim has the build of a swimmer, Cass has the build of a ballet dancer, Steph has the build of a volleyball player, Duke has a build of a soccer player and Damian has the build of a martial artist.

And Bruce is overcompensating.
