Cancelling FACTS + other stuff

As the title says, I'm not going to table at FACTS this april! But I will be there as a regular visitor. Reason is because i'm broke and can't afford to table and I honestly wasn't in the mood to do so. Don't get me wrong I love meeting new people and talking to people I know! It's just incredibly draining and excausting to do so. I rather go now as a visitor and have fun with my friends than spending months on preparations and not even earning that munch back. I will however return next time with new drawings! I also finally have an internship which I'm really happy about and will start after the vacation. I won't earn anything but it's more like an exploration what job I would like to do later and to have an actual scedule everyday instead of having no reason to wake up and hopefully some motivation to draw again, because nothing seems to work to make me actually care about art these days. I will be taking a little hiatus on social media and I'll be back when I'm drawing again! Have a great day and see you after the hiatus!

My first booth experience

First of all, I want to thank the people who came to my booth buying my merchandise and came by to say hello! I really appreciated it and make it possible to keep doing this. I really wanted to make this journal way more sooner, but I guess I totally forgot about it like usual. I'll be attending next year again at FACTS, so i'll be making new prints and new merchandise, like stickers and magnets. I have to say I had underestimated the pressure and stress that came with it. The first day when I arrived early in the morning I started crying because I started to panic nobody would even look or buy anything from me. Luckily my dad was there for a little while, so I was able to pull through. However I did still felt the anxiety and stress during the whole convention, my legs where shaking and it was hard to make eye contact sometimes. I should have also slept more, because i was very tired and said stupid things to my costumers like for example: Somebody asked my for a Pinkie pie button and I said 'Aah you want Twinkie?' haha that was pretty embarrassing. But it was worth for the experience and the people I met. My neighbors where pretty nice as well, offering me food and giving me some courage. One of my friends stayed with me at my booth, which i'm very grateful for! I had a great time and I hope to see you guys next year! I also have been learning some HTML and CSS to make my own website and online store where I could sell my stuff for the people who can't come to the conventions or are interested in buying my stuff. I'm really excited to open my own shop, but it will take me a lot of time to make it. Commissions will be opened next week and I will be updating my social medias. I still need to add a lot artworks on Tumblr especially that i completely forgot about. I was going to make an artist valley vlog, but I don't made any footage sadly, so my next video is going to be some story times with a speedpaint. Last but not least, I'm planning on changing my usernames to something shorter and more personal. First I thought mixing my name and art together, making it: Lizart. But that username already existed so my second one was Lizarto, which already excited as well. So my final name i'm gonna pick is Lizartos, but not 100 procent sure yet. It is going to be weird not being called Yellowfeatherbolt, which I just didn't like anymore. Because YFB is not me, but my mascot and my original character and it felt a bit weird after a while being called as one of my characters. But it's still fine if you still associated me with that name. The name change however is going take a long time since it will be after the next convention. Update + Convention talk

So I have finally posted my new drawings I will be selling for the next con. The drawings where finished a long time ago, but I just simply forgot to do. My preparations for FACTS has been going great, however I stumbled upon a problem with my printer yesterday. The printer is replacing my black with colors like blue and purple which is messing up the magnets colors. I hope I can fix it tomorrow, because I can't afford any delays right now. But i'm happy to tell I have been working everyday for the con and I hope you'll enjoy my merchandise! I'll also have to announce that I won't be doing the artist alley alone this time around. The person I'll be working with is: @poyopop She's is super sweet and has great art, please go give her art some love! Also for my new name, I've decided I will pick the name: Lizuni. It's an combination with my name and art, but "art" in dutch, and added an I at the end. On October I will do this name change, together with deleting of my accounts and remaking them with my name. This will be also the period I'll open commissions again after hesitating for so long and some people asking for it. On a personal note, I'm trying to be more disciplined, more healthy and expanding my friendship circle in my life. Which really improved my productivity so I can make more content for you guys, but also taking more care of myself. On last thing, I won't however post anything here until October starts, so I will be on a little hiatus! I hope you understand that I have a lot of work for FACTS and won't have a lot of time to draw. That's all and I hope you have a great day!
