This might come as a shock to some of you but saying “I’m not informed enough on this particular topic to have an opinion” is about 100 times more respectable than being misinformed

The justification of art is the internal combustion it ignites in the hearts of men and not its shallow, externalized, public manifestations. The purpose of art is not the release of a momentary ejection of adrenaline but is, rather, the gradual, lifelong construction of a state of wonder and serenity.

- 8w9s are take a more diplomatic “take you under my wing” approach to control. they are more likely to want to control their intimates on an interpersonal level and are more into maintaining than pushing outward. despite their more gentle demeanor (externally at least) the 8w9 is often more intrusive than the 8w7 in this way and is intent on keeping his post as the head of whichever organization/group he is overseeing. - 8w7s on the other hand are more openly aggressive, but they are less into/don’t really care about interpersonal control. if the 8w9 is the Patriarch maintaining his realm, the 8w7 is the conqueror, expanding outward and trying to grow his territory. as such, the interpersonal control of the 8w7 is more limited to “you there! do this for me!” after which point they really won’t think of you because their desire for power is turned more towards tangible ambition, such as financial success, personal/career goals, skills acquisition or resource acquisition. - 7w8 is the bad boy of the enneagram. the 8 wing gives them a more visceral feel, more drive, more focus, and more ability to stomach the unpleasant aspects of pursuing their goals. 7w8s are impulsive, action oriented people and are usually more thrill seeking and competitive than their 7w6 cousins. 7w8s like to play rough and often enjoy pranks or practical jokes that cause the “victim” a little bit of pain. overall, the 7w8 has an energy like a race car, zooming toward the object of it’s desire. Examples: Jack Nicholson, Joan Rivers, Steve Jobs, Scarlett O'Hara 7w6: for comparison, 7w6 is typically more imaginative, fantastical and has an energy more like a fox (7w8 typically comes off more like a wolf, hyena or chimpanzee). they typically have a slightly nervous energy about them and a more childlike charm to their personalities. being 7s, they are still core assertive types (3, 7 and 8), but the 6 wing softens 7’s narcissistic tendencies (in contrast to the 8 wing, which magnifies them), adds a touch of caution and often results in a stronger tendency to second guess oneself.

One of the major things I love about ENTPs is that you don’t generally let conflicts fester. You deal with problems directly, you can’t stand passive-aggressiveness, and you prefer openness and honesty in your relationships. That’s amazing.
I also love your confidence. Whether it’s quiet or loud, it works, and everyone can tell you are generally pretty confident in yourself and your abilities.
I love that you can enforce rules without being a control freak or micromanager. It’s perfect. You are really excellent at being in charge. You don’t try to put in place meaningless rules or regulations, but you do put in place enough rules to effectively close loopholes and get the job done. Once you’ve practiced and had experience in leadership, your style is perfect. Don’t change a thing.
I love that you’re protective of the people you love. It’s really, really awesome. I am more than a little in awe of how intense you can be when you need to protect or defend someone. It’s perfect.
I love that you don’t seem to try. Everything you do seems effortless and easy, and you seem to excel at whatever you do. I know that can’t be true, but it still appears that way, and I love it.
ENTP: *is infinitely caught in a loop of being glad that no one quite understands them and upset that no one understands them*
