Has anyone done an AU where the Black family are like the Addams family? I know the Black parents are not usually written as good parents, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about this for weeks. I have had too many ideas about it already and I need to know if there is a fic out there. If there isn't, I might have to try writing it and I have horrible commitment issues when it comes to writing fics lol.

Since joining this fandom I've noticed that the ship names just hit different than the ship names in other fandoms (or maybe I'm just in the wrong fandoms lol) Like, you have the usual Put Both Characters Names Together ship names (jily, dorlene, jegulus, etc), but then you have wolfstar and starchaser/sunseeker and those ship names are just??? so good???

rosekiller? nobleflower? all of them sound so pretty like wtf

But then you have ship names like moonwater, which sounds just as pretty as the others until you think about what its a reference to

All this to say, I am in love with the way this fandom does ship names

MoonWater fic (could be romantic or platonic) where Regulus' animagus is a little black lamb instead of a cat and Moony, the giant wolf, is very protective of this adorable little lamb who follows him around every full moon.

Does anyone else see the vision?

I've recently become a marauders era fan (november 2024) and I'm slowly reading some of the more popular fics (currently halfway through Only the Brave), but I've already seen so many angsty spoilers for some of the others and I'm honestly kind of scared lmao

EXACTLY! They would be so supportive of their sons werewolf boyfriend.

And as always, Regulus would be absolutely horrified when he realises that he likes James Potter, of all people. His brother and cousins make fun of him for it when they find out.

Kinda surprised I haven't found a horcrux hunting fic where Regulus "I will betray the Dark Lord for my house elf" Arcturus Black (canon), or maybe, Regulus "I love magical creatures, Care for Magical Creatures is my favourite class at school" Arcturus Black (fanon), frees the dragon from Gringotts while stealing Helga Hufflepuff's cup from Bellatrix's vault (just like the Golden Trio do). But instead of it just flying off, never to be seen again, they become friends and Regulus brings a whole ass dragon to help him kill Voldemort.

I have not been able to stop thinking about Jegulus and Pandalily co-parenting Harry and Luna.

Regulus and Pandora knew they were gay but were forced into an arranged marriage by their parents and ran away either a little before or a little after Luna was born.

Jilly are highschool sweethearts who got married right out of school, only to realise after Harry is born that they love each other but aren't in love with each other (if that makes sense).

Both couples break up but stay best friends of course.

Then Pandalily and Jegulus get together.

Luna and Harry grow up as siblings with two mums and two dads.

James is 'Dad', Lily is 'Mum', Regulus is 'Papa' and Pandora is 'Mama'.

They all live in a house together as a family. Happy ending.

(bonus: Sirius and Remus raising Teddy alongside them. One big happy family)

Pandora and Regulus as the Hufflepuff and Slytherin friendship trope but Regulus is the hufflepuff and Pandora is the slytherin and everyone is very confused about it.

She's cunning and a great liar. She's able to get what she wants through lies and deceit but she's always so genuinely nice that people never suspect it. Everyone thinks she's the hufflepuff.

He's loyal. So loyal. Nobody messes with his friends (or brother) without facing the consequences. He's always sarcastic and mean and people avoid him because of it. Everyone thinks he's the slytherin.

Anyways, they're best friends and they confuse people constantly.
