Ok, so I lied. Yup. Couldn't wait a whole week 'cause I'm unable to fully concentrate on writing the next chapters if I'm constantly picking and editing the previous one when I know, in my heart, they're ready.

i want to write a little story of the women of family black, like sort of portraits of them.

first chapter following walburga from her last years at hogwarts up until sirius’s birth.

second chapter following bellatrix since the moment she met baby sirius until his selection into gryffindor or maybe her decision to marry into the lestrange family.

third chapter following andromeda from sirius’s selection til she ran away with ted.

fourth one following narcissa from the moment andromeda left til she found out she was pregnant with draco.

that’s what i’m thinking so far, but i would love to read some fics centered around the black family or, at least, the black sisters, so if you have any recommendations pls let me know! 🙏🏻

day 6 - music festival (muggle au) - blackinnon - @blackinnonfest

Sirius presented her with a pair of rubber boots.

“What are those?” She asked.

“The perfect footwear for rainy days and skipping puddles.”

“It isn’t raining.”

“But it will be where we are going. Come now, put them on.”

“You’re joking, right? They’re hideous” she protested.

“Shouldn’t you be more concerned with where we are going?”

“If I worried for every little thing you planned for, we would never go anywhere. But must I get there with such ugly little things?”

There was nothing little about the boots. They were tall and yellow and screaming loudly at her to not try them on.

“Fine. You can have mine.” Sirius sighed.

Sirius produced a pair of black ones and Marlene knew all along he bought them in her size right from the beginning.

Later on at night, after driving all the way to the music festival and spending all day dancing and screaming at the top of their lungs for their favorite bands and songs, Marlene and Sirius found their way to their camp site.

They stumbled ungracefully into their tent, laughing loudly, half drunk and half deaf from all the music still banging in their ears.

Marlene lifted her legs up in the air, her black boots covered in mud now.

“Best fucking gift ever”

“What about the festival tickets?”

“Oh yeah, that too” Marlene laughed, slapping Sirius slightly in his chest and propping herself up to kiss him on the lips.

situationships for teenagers kinda expected to be honest. most of the time we learn by making mistakes and hurting other people, whether we meant to or not.

walburga would be caught dead before anyone ever accused her of praising a dark lord that turns out to be half-blood. the black family doesn’t have to prove themselves to anyone, they’re already well established in society. anyone knows them and knows what they stand for. sure, they share the ideas voldemort is trying to push into his followers for a new order of the world, but wouldn’t stood so low as to worship him. they’re loyal to themselves and themselves only.

but orion and walburga expected regulus to become a death eater. no they fucking didn’t. they expected, specially after what’s going on with sirius, for him to get an education, find a respectable wife, settle down, produce the next black heir and run the family business (whatever that is). regulus, meanwhile, landed in slytherin during a time all of his house mates, specially older ones, not to mention his own older cousin, are talking and praising the dark lord and how he’s gonna reward those who stand close to him. it’s a youth thing. it’s what everyone in his little bubble wants to become: a high ranking follower. and who could be higher than a black? also everyone is talking about how sirius turned out to be a big disgrace and although for their parents it’s enough with just disowning him, regulus thinks surely if i join the ranks of voldemort i could fix what my idiot brother broke, right? cause also they both think the other one it’s the idiot. the traitor.

later on regulus realizes the dark lord doesn’t care for the blacks and families like his and what they represent. but by then it’s too late and he does what he can before he dies.

my best tip for anyone trying to get back into reading is to remember that you can read books to avoid other responsibilities in ur life and it can become a vice if you play your cards right

Nymphadora Tonks is an incredibly smart, strong, capable witch, and she is a 23-year-old with a massive crush on an emotionally unavailable man. And that is why she will always be the most relatable character in the series to me.

i wouldn’t mind having an uncle like alphard black and his very dubious businesses at this point.

sirius was glad that the only person in the room was james. it was easier for him to let go of the breath he was holding in and slack his shoulders.

james, of course, knew right away that something was wrong.

"what's gotten into you? why are you wet?"

james was sat near the window, he was looking outside while playing with the stupid snitch of his.

"the rain got to me," sirius responded, closing their distance and throwing himself into the chair nearest to james. he let out a well held grown. "what are you doing?"

"i was waiting for you, mate? you're late. we made plans-" "oh, shit-"

"yeah, no shit you forgot-" james rolled his eyes. "i told remus and peter to go on. tell me what's up. there is no way you would forget a day out."

"i-" sirius looked around the room, "i fucked up."

"when don't you?" james snorted.

sirius kicked his chair, "prongs, man."

james snorted, after he regained his chair's balance, "so?"

"i was with mckinnon," sirius leaned on his knees, "i was helping her train. you really did a number on her the previous match."

"she knows me, i get heated up when shit gets fucked," james shrugged.

"i know. she said the same thing," sirius laughed, "and as mckinnon-"

"she wanted to prove me wrong?"

"yeah," sirius nodded, "so, i helped. it started to rain, she wanted to keep going. i had completely lost track of time- my bad, again, let me finish- and she reached a record- she got happy- smiling, laughing, she jumped on me before we could even land properly- and- and fuck- i don't know- i bloody tried to kiss her!"

"you what?!" james jumped from the chair.

"i did," sirius pinched his nose, "i just- she jumped, i caught her, and we were close and i just leaned in, and- and she leaned in- i think-"

"you think?! how does one think that?! weren't you there?!"

"i don't know! it felt like i wasn't- and-!"

"the last time i have seen you this worked up was when you lost your motorcycle magazine, mate-!"

"shut up-!"

"well, what happened?!"

"nothing! we just got up immediately as soon as i drew back and we said very awkward goodbyes-"

"the last time i saw you being awkward-"

"james, shut up!" sirius groaned "- and it hit me, james... when i was coming here- i think i like her. a lot."
