so i'm seeing this post go around quite a bit uncritically with links to straight up donate to ukrainian neo-nazi groups so i'll break it down, here's the post you'll probably see:
here's the contents of one link, calling themselves "freikorps" and using what looks to be an azov battalion insignia as an avatar:
and here's what the azov battalion is if you don't know:
now here's another link this time with with a pic of ppl flying a right sector flag:
if you dont know what right sector is:
so please don't donate to this shit, the situation isn't just some simple little good guy vs big bad guy thing, if you see someone sharing that post, try sharing this with them bcus they probably don't know
Do u have any ducktales fic/author recs đ„ș

Iâm not trying to be inflammatory, Iâm just curious. How do het ace/aro people face SYSTEMATIC oppression? Gay/bi/trans people face oppression like difficultly adopting children, finding housing, they may be fired from employment because of their gender or orientation. So they are bared from normal parts of live because of their gender/sexuality. Gay ace/aro people face this too, but what do het ace/aro people experience on a societal level?
If youâd been following my blog at all or even bothered to peruse it a little before dropping this message in my inbox, youâd probably already know the answer to your question.Â
Youâd ALSO probably know that there are bi and pan aspecs too (e.g., Iâm panromantic demisexual) which isnât âgayâ (does this term also include lesbians?) so I feel like your ask erases part of my own identity and that of others in the community.
For these reasons and more, Iâd bet money that youâre not here because youâre âcuriousâ. Youâre probably here because you figure this is how youâre gonna stop a âself-imposingâ aspec from speaking up for herself.Â
Well guess what: Thatâs just hateful & sad.
Regardless though of your intentions, Iâm here to say that there is in fact SYSTEMATIC oppression against aspecs. For example, Dr Gordon Hodson wrote this about his 2012 study:Â
In a recent investigation (MacInnis & Hodson, in press) we uncovered strikingly strong bias against asexuals in both university and community samples. Relative to heterosexuals, and even relative to homosexuals and bisexuals, heterosexuals: (a) expressed more negative attitudes toward asexuals (i.e., prejudice); (b) desired less contact with asexuals; and © were less willing to rent an apartment to (or hire) an asexual applicant (i.e., discrimination). Moreover, of all the sexual minority groups studied, asexuals were the most dehumanized (i.e., represented as âless humanâ). Intriguingly, heterosexuals dehumanized asexuals in two ways. Given their lack of sexual interest, widely considered a universal interest, it might not surprise you to learn that asexuals were characterized as âmachine-likeâ (i.e., mechanistically dehumanized). But, oddly enough, asexuals were also seen as âanimal-likeâ (i.e., animalistically dehumanized). Yes, asexuals were seen as relatively cold and emotionless and unrestrained, impulsive, and less sophisticated.
When you repeatedly observe such findings it grabs your attention as a prejudice researcher. But letâs go back a minute and consider those discrimination effects. Really? Youâd not rent an apartment to an asexual man, or hire an asexual woman? Even if you relied on stereotypes alone, presumably such people would make ideal tenants and employees. We pondered whether this bias actually represents bias against single people, a recently uncovered and very real bias in its own right (see Psychology Today column by Bella DePaulo). But our statistical analyses ruled out this this possibility. So whatâs going on here?
If youâve been following my column, youâll recall that I wrote a recent article on what I called the âBigotry Bigot-Treeâ â what psychologists refer to as generalized prejudice. Specifically, those disliking one social group (e.g., women) also tend to dislike other social groups (e.g., homosexuals; Asians). In our recent paper (MacInnis & Hodson, in press), we found that those who disliked homosexuals also disliked bisexuals and asexuals. In other words, these prejudices are correlated. Heterosexuals who dislike one sexual minority, therefore, also dislike other sexual minorities, even though some of these groups are characterized by their sexual interest and activity and others by their lack of sexual interest and activity.
This anti-asexual bias, at its core, seems to boil down to what Herek (2010) refers to as the âdifferences as deficitâ model of sexual orientation. By deviating from the typical, average, or normal sexual interests, sexual minorities are considered substandard and thus easy targets for disdain and prejudice. Contrary to conventional folk wisdom, prejudice against sexual minorities may not therefore have much to do with sexual activity at all. There is even evidence, for instance, that religious fundamentalists are prejudiced against homosexuals even when they are celibate (Fulton et al., 1999). Together, such findings point to a bias against âothersâ, especially different others, who are seen as substandard and deficient (and literally âless humanâ). âGroup Xâ is targeted for its lack of sexual interest even more than homosexuals and bisexuals are targeted for their same-sex interests.
From news coverage of a recently published study (2016):
What should the average person take away from your study?
Since I first became interested in the issue, I have come to conclude that U.S. society is both âsex negativeâ and âsex positive.â In other words, there is stigma and marginalization that can come both from being âtoo sexualâ and from being ânot sexual enough.â In a theoretical paper, I argued that sexuality may be compulsory in contemporary U.S. society. In other words, our society assumes that (almost) everyone is, at their core, âsexualâ and there exists a great deal of social pressure to experience sexual desire, engage in sexual activities, and adopt a sexual identity. At the same time, various types of ânon-sexualityâ (such as a lack of sexual desire or activity) are stigmatized.
For this particular study, I identified thirty individuals who identified as asexual and asked them first, if they had experienced stigma or marginalization as a result of their asexuality, and, second how they challenged this stigma or marginalization. I found that my interviewees had experienced the following forms of marginalization: pathologization (i.e. people calling them sick), social isolation, unwanted sex and relationship conflict, and the denial of epistemic authority (i.e. people not believing that they didnât experience sexual attraction). I also found that my interviews resisted stigma and marginalization in five ways: describing asexuality as simply a different (but not inherently worse) form of sexuality; deemphasizing the importance of sexuality in human life; developing new types of nonsexual relationships; coming to see asexuality as a sexual orientation or identity; and engaging in community building and outreach.
I hope that average people would take away from this study the idea that some people can lead fulfilling lives without experiencing sexual attraction but can experience distress if others try to invalidate their identities.
Some of the social isolation we aspecs experience comes from religious communities. Indeed, the popular myth that religious people revere aspecs is very much NOT TRUE. For example, read âMyth 8âł from the VISION Catholic Religious Vocation Guide:
MYTH 8: Religious are asexual
Question: What do you call a person who is asexual?Â
Answer: Not a person. Asexual people do not exist. Sexuality is a gift from God and thus a fundamental part of our human identity. Those who repress their sexuality are not living as God created them to be: fully alive and well. As such, theyâre most likely unhappy. All people are called by God to live chastely, meaning being respectful of the gift of their sexuality. Religious men and women vow celibate chastity, which means they live out their sexuality without engaging in sexual behavior. A vow of chastity does not mean one represses his manhood or her womanhood. Sexuality and the act of sex are two very different things. While people in religious life abstain from the act of sex, they do not become asexual beings, but rather need to be in touch with what it means to be a man or a woman. A vow of chastity also does not mean one will not have close, loving relationships with women and men. In fact, such relationships are a sign of living the vow in a healthy way. Living a religious vow of chastity is not always easy, but it can be a very beautiful expression of love for God and others. Religious women and men arenât oddities; they mirror the rest of the church they serve: there are introverts and extroverts, tall and short, old and young, straight and gay, obese and skinny, crass and pious, humorous and serious, and everything in between. They attempt to live the same primary vocation as all other Christians do: proclaiming and living the gospel. However, religious do this as members of an order that serve the church and world in a particular way. Like marriage and the single life, religious life can be wonderful, fulfilling, exciting, and, yes, normal. Yet, it also can be countercultural and positively challenging. Itâs that for us and many others. If you thought religious life was outdated, dysfunctional, or dead, we hope you can now look beyond the stereotypes and see the gift it is to the church and world.
NOTE: YOU CAN BE A GAY CATHOLIC PERSON BUT NOT ASEXUAL, BC ASEXUALITY DOESNâT EXIST (yet somehow weâre also âmost likely unhappyâ and âodditiesâ). I sincerely hope and believe that not all religions characterize us aspecs this way. But here are some personal accounts I found on a reddit site answering the question âDo any religions have a negative stance toward asexuals?â:
Please note that the Christian pastor in the last example was fearful (or something?) that an asexual was helping to lead a youth group and kicked them out of the church as a result.

so.
i guess fanfiction wasnât a phaseâŠ.
I know it's popular to portray Danny has having scars and all, that's fine by me.
But considering Ghost Regeneration in the series is busted (like they regenerate from nearly everything) image just Danny shrugging immensely fatal injuries and be like "well that's annoying" everytime while everyone else freaks out.

Danny Phantom One-Shot Recs
Iâm gonna plug my own one-shot in here first, then go in reverse through my history. This list is probably gonna have more fics, so buckle up. Thereâs (surprisingly) only one crossover, and Iâve also put the GothMoth fics into a section by themselves. Because theyâre special.
Coincidentally by Dragoknitter - Miles and Tucker are cousins, and Tucker basically says, âYâall need a support system, lemme hook you up.â
Is This Just A Thing that Girls Do? by newdog14 - Middle school girls are terrifying, and this is definitely something I mightâve done if given the right motivation.
Pushing Buttons (Until They Break) by ObsidianCreates - Dannyâs parents arenât the best at feelings, and press on way too many sore spots. But! Thereâs a sequel and they make up for it!
Day Three: Cryptid by JadeNoRyuu - Astraphobic Danny + supernatural thunderstorm + helpful senior student = a fun little story that is just *Pacha đđMeme*
The Green Gremlin by NikaylaSarae - Some top-notch character building for Dash, although this author mostly writes for Sanders Sides
Parental Woes by DarkNymfa - Very nice premise! Clockwork and Pandora are awesome, but donât really Get human stuff. Danny is embarrassed.
Of Tweets and Twats by DarkNymfa - Twitter convos discussing Amity Park, featuring people from Amity Park!
Flickering Yellow and Green by dragonrayy - Danny gets hit with something by Technus that messes up his eyes, so he goes to a ghost optometrist.
Grabbing Smoke by thatgirl_youknowtheone - Lovely characterization for Kitty! Also has Jewish Sam!
Growing Pains by ayjayar - Ghost puberty! Ghost puberty! But not for Danny
What Can Be Found by ajility - Denial isnât just a river in Egypt. Or, in this case, a dream ship in the Ghost Zone.
Facing Facts by ajility - I get the feeling this author just likes writing Danny in denial about his parentsâ neglectâŠ
The Things We Hold Dear by Alana_Kitty - Nice little story about Danny fixing Emberâs guitar!
Bang Babies got nothinâ on the Ghost Kid by anthrop - Look. I loved Static Shock as a kid and seeing him completely overwhelmed by Dannyâs OP ass is wonderful.
Core by GhostWriterGirl1 - F in the chat for Danny. Boi gets messed up by a solar flare. The author added in the reasoning behind the headcanon too, so thatâs neat!
Shots Fired by RedGhost1010 - This is definitely NOT what you should do in the event of a school shooting, but who cares about that when youâre immortal?
Lightning Scars and Listening Ears by GoingDeceased - A little angsty, but hey! Danny finally has some adults on his side!
Electricity by lexosaurus - Danny has PTSD, and peer pressure is a bitch
Spooky Sin Scholar - Danny is a polyglot and teaches classmates to swear in Ghost.
The Fright In Halloween - Danny is a little shit, but what else is new?
Mimicry - Mostly just shitting on radical Christianityâs policy of âunnatural things must be eradicated, we must send them back to Hell where they belongâ, at least thatâs my takeaway
Fashion Flame War - Uniforms are only convenient for schools, and are a crime against expression of self. Casper High can never do things the easy way, though.
In My Veins Flows Chaos, But I Could Do Without It Being This Obvious - *plops ectoplasm into Dannyâs hands* He glows!
Nip Trips Nips - Ah, ghost nip. And implied Val/Ellie! (Ellie is my preferred name for her because Dani and Danny is just so confusing)
Ecto Upgrade Start - Ghost puberty, for Danny this time!
Gala Glamour - Richness and pettiness are a given combination, after all, why shouldnât Vlad use his ridiculous wealth for the entertainment of teenagers?
Poised To Go Splat - Donât drink glow sticks, kids. Or let your insane ghost-hunting parents make an anti-ecto fog machine for the school dance.
What Qualifies As A Few Too Many Words? One - Ah, the unfortunate circumstance of a ghost needing Dannyâs help, luckily (or unluckily) the ghost doesnât speak English.
Would You Like Some Bullets With That, Sir? - Vlad is insanely rich. People donât like him. Failed assassinations are just annoying when youâre immortal.
Phabulous Phashion - Danny should not be allowed to shop for clothes by himself.
Little Nibblers - Accidental ghost edible consumption, and baby fangs.
Based on amazing crossovers such as the Half-Dead Phoenix, Spirited Away, Weirdward, The Phantom and the Potter, Wand of a Halfa, and Evanesco!
(Edit: added links to all the fic recs. Some of them have some cussing, but I donât remember which ones, so read at your own risk)
Danny does not get an owl or a toad. He gets a cat. A black ghost cat with bright green eyes. He did not mean to get said cat, it just happened. Inky (Marsalias/Lulaâs ghost cat OC) is alarmingly persuasive. Danny had nothing to do with this.
No, really. Inky got wind of it, followed Danny to Diagon Alley, and waited for him inside. She then presented a very strong argument as to why she should go with him to Hogwarts. Not only would she be a ghostly ally that can blend in wherever she goes, she can take messages back and forth far quicker than an owl.
âDonât you live with the Westons?â âI am perfectly capable of taking care of all my kittens, thank you very much.â
To McGonagall and Jack, this looks like Danny getting annoyed and talking to a random cat who seems to be meowing rather pointedly
(yes Jack Fenton takes Danny to Diagon Alley. Iâve been reading too much fanfiction to want to deal with Maddie right now but I still want Danny and Jazz to have at least one semi-decent parental figure)
The wands hate him. Ollivander had to get out the strange heirloom from a man called Charles Worth. Danny has a good secret chuckle over that (Wand of a Halfa)
When the Weasley twins say he has to fight a dragon for the Sorting Ceremony (The Phantom and the Potter), he takes it seriously.
âAgain?! Whatever. Fine. How big is it and are outside weapons allowed?â
When he finds out that itâs actually a mind-reading hat, he asks if he can fight the dragon instead.Â
He gets sorted into Slytherin because he locks the Hat out of his mind and then asks which House will make people trust him without question like that one HP meme
He just wants to not be blamed for everything going wrong all the time but the Hat doesnât know that
Now the teachers are confused because after the dragon comment they thought for SURE heâd be a Gryffindor. Arenât Slytherins supposed to have self-preservation instincts?
Gosh Danny would be so fantastic in all the Houses but his colors being green and black and silver and already having to deal with being pre-labeled as evil and devious just the narrative parallels are so fantastic
On the other hand, badger DannyâŠ
âŠno, I couldnât do that to him. But it sure would be funny!
The ghosts all gather around him wanting to know what heâs doing and heâs just like, can I eat my chicken in peace please
When he finds out Astronomy is a required class he almost combusts
Heâs also super fascinated with wizard watches and goes on and on about how sensible they are. No one has the heart to tell him that 99.99% of the population does not have the time or the willpower to memorize entire star maps and planetary movements just to tell the time.
Peeves listens to him. Not just because heâs scary, but he helps with some of the (more harmless) pranks.
Danny gets into a prank war with the Weasley twins. Halfway through, he convinces Lee to switch sides, leading to Lee being called the Sympathizer (affectionate/derogatory) for the rest of the year
Danny adopts some of the more feral children and teaches them all he knows of combat. He simultaneously knows too much and too little
Like, he has no idea how wizard duels work, or what kind of offensive/defensive spells there are, and his hand-to-hand has decent form but is lacking in discipline
However, he does have in-depth advice on how to analyze a fight and determine the threat level, improvise weapons/use the environment, and troll an opponent into insanity
He also lists common pressure points and weaknesses (joints, thinner skin spots, nerve clusters, etc) and how to injure/not injure someone. He does not mention that most of this knowledge comes not from injuring others, but being injured himself
Feral children include Neville, Ginny, Luna, the Creevies, a few Puffs and pretty much all the Slytherin firsties who havenât been corrupted by the propaganda yet (kinda-sorta The Potter and the Phantom, Iâm a little salty about the most recent chapter)
I would add the HP trio but theyâre too suspicious of Danny because all their interactions have been unfortunately creepy and he makes Harryâs scar prickle like crazyÂ
Also I donât want to deal with main plot drama I am here for Mandalorian-esque background shenanigans and not-my-division
Dannyâs parents send a care package of fudge. It comes alive and tries to attack everyone. Suddenly everyone understands why the Monster Book of Monsters didnât faze him
Seriously he growled the book into submission what the heck Fenton (aka my current favorite part of The Phantom and the Potter)
Danny and Hagrid get along like a house on fire. Everyone looks on in awe and horror.
Danny asks if the owls have some kind of tracking magic and if theyâre used as wizarding bloodhounds. Nobody can answer this
Actually, Danny asks a lot of questions and makes a lot of comments that leave everyone in the vicinity vaguely disturbed
Danny has a list of people that heâll regularly prank out of vengeance for his feral children. His friends affectionately call it âDannyâs Hit List.â Current victims include Zacharias Smith, Draco Malfoy, and Cormac McClaggan. He also occasionally targets Ronald Weasley for intimidating his Slytherin firsties.
Danny feels a bit sorry for Harry because he knows intimately what heâs going through, and encourages his feral children to give him space. The HP trio sees this as an avoidance tactic and their suspicion rises.
Danny does not like Mad-Eyeâs vibes. He sets off his alarm bells in a similar way to Severus Snape and Igor Karkaroff (I donât know which fic has Danny sensing Dark Marks but itâs somewhere). He especially doesnât like that Mad-Eye can somehow see him while invisible.
Barty Crouch Jr. has no idea what Danny is. He looks human, but thereâs something else there that he canât pin down. Is it the glow? The buzzing edges of his figure? The fangs? Well, he doesnât seem like heâs interested in interfering, so Barty will leave him alone for now.
Danny is not exactly here of his own free will. MACUSA has no desire to get in the middle of whatever is going on in Amity Park, and is definitely not eager to deal with the Fentons (Spirited Away). It was either Hogwarts or be forcibly removed from his family and have their memories wiped. Nobody is happy about this (except for Dumbledore).
This means that heâs practicing opening portals. His future self could do it, so he knows he can learn it. Itâs slow going, but Inky helps. Once he knows he can go back and forth quickly, heâll sleep a lot more easily.
He tries to keep up with his muggle schoolwork for if when he goes back to Casper since heâs not hampered by sudden ghost attacks (this is where the family genius shines through; he gets pretty good grades on all of his schoolwork, even if some of it is a bit late or unfinished due to the sheer workload. Of course, Danny does not see this at all).
He is both envious and distraught that wizards donât learn science or math or language. He then decides to force his feral children to at least learn basic math (âYour monetary system is as least as bad as the Imperial measurement system, you need thisâ) and biology (âOkay, this is just the broad strokes of how your body works. This is how you can break your body. Please donât. This is how you can fix your body if thereâs no mediwitch available. Please do.â). They are both intrigued and annoyed.
Iâm tempted to have him suddenly realize heâs never flown while intangible while talking about brooms to Ginny. Super-fast wanderer Danny is a concept that lives in my head rent-free.
On the one hand, I donât want to flood this crossover with too many AU concepts, but on the other hand super-fast wanderer Danny
Heâd still prefer portals for quicker travel, but having a backup could be a good idea. Iâll have to think about it.
Ending? What ending? The shenanigans will last forever and a certain wizarding war canât stop them
In all seriousness I donât think having Danny interfere too much with the HP trio is a good idea, I get a little tired of alternate canon events or having major plot points magically averted just because of an OP other-dimensional character.Â
Iâd rather have Danny setting up safe houses and taking care of his feral children in the background, more focused on taking care of survivors than doing Harryâs job. Someoneâs gotta protect them, after all, and Danny can do it much more easily than the HP trio ever could
There will never be enough "regular human unfamiliar with Amity Park's nonsense has the misfortune of doing crime around local cryptid Danny Fenton" content out there.
Don't get me wrong there are some absolute gems:
