house is insane. He calls remy 13 as if shes still just a number to him but also treats her like his kid half the time. He was the only one not to write kutner an obituary but his death hit him so hard he ended up in the psych ward. He faked DNA evidence in court to save a guy he actively dislikes half the time. Hes the most selfish man alive and he blames himself for everything. Hes constantly meddling in his fellows and friends lives because he doesnt know how to actually be involved with people in any way other than Scheming and Plotting. And every time he tries to get better he gets beaten back into being a miserable old man

Update: I’ve been informed I can be graded on this if I include an analysis so here it is:
I personally think the fact that Skyler was pregnant and then newly postpartum for the majority of the show gets glossed over way too often lol. Not in an "oh pregnant women and new moms are soooo emotional 🙄" way either, but moreover like how deeply deranged a lot of Walt's behavior towards her really is in that context. Like here is this woman who is pushing 40, experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and all the financial and emotional concerns that come with that, raising a son who has a disability and handling all of the unique responsibilities and challenges that are a part of that experience, coping with what was essentially sold to them as a death sentence for her husband, all while also having to get back into the workforce after an extended time at home. It's crazy how vulnerable of a position Skyler was in during the time when Walter was sneaking around behind her back, lying and engaged in illegal activities right under her nose. Walt consistently harps on the stakes of his situation but ppl seem to completely disregard the weight of Skyler's. She gave birth without Walt. Handled the sleepless nights and diaper changes and night feedings and newborn tears without him. When she desperately asks him to get diapers at bedtime, he can't even do that for her without traumatizing Jesse and going to a bar while he's out of the house. Sometimes I remember that Skyler was an aspiring writer and I just want to cry lol. Losing so much of herself in motherhood and caught up in Walter White's web of lies and abuse. that's a tragedy of Breaking Bad I seldom see discussed but it's one I think about every time I watch the show. Skyler White you will always be one of my favorites, I love you so much

my number one biggest weakness when it comes to breaking bad content is anything to do with jesse and marie and those fleeting glimpses we saw of them together towards the end of the show. it was so small, but it said so fucking much. hank obviously only ever saw jesse as a tool, a disposable resource to get him closer to walt, but marie didn’t. she saw this scruffy, angry kid sleeping in her nice guest room and telling her husband about the horrible things he’d done and seen for the confession tape and her instinct wasn’t to withdraw or to treat him as lesser than like her husband did. it was to make him a cup of coffee. treat him like a human. marie’s an addict herself, something that i think gets forgotten a lot, and in this mad scramble around her to bring down walt and use jesse’s life as a bargaining chip, she sat down with him and treated him with a little decency because she knows what it’s like to be shunned and othered and cast aside. to be a “problem”. to have no control. walt, skyler, and hank all had longer, more in-depth interactions with jesse, but marie’s time with him, however brief, was so fucking meaningful. the world is so cruel sometimes. let’s eat together and share a little moment of humanity.

i've always wished that this show explored more of house in his pre-house md era because of scenes like these. on one hand, we get crumbs of how house was like from stacey's perspective...
... whereas on the other side of the spectrum, we get this from wilson:

For a show that’s set in a tropical island, i feel like there isn’t enough sunrise/sunset shots. Imagine your favourite couple from the show having a heart-to-heart but in the back drop of the most gorgeous and orange sunset imaginable, the waves glittering like gold, their faces practically glowing in the golden hour.
Maybe I just really like sunsets too much.
i wanna put them on top of my tv stand like a smiski
these two guys are stuck in my head🧍♂️
”they’re all dead?”
“Everyone dies sometime, kiddo. Some of them before you, some long after.”
“One day the sadness will end.
But I don’t think today’s the day.”
