I was trying to express something about jon’s eyes, but unfortunately the mental word processing crashed and it came out as “imagine having a glow in the dark boyfriend”. So there you go that’s the new post
Artworks of michael distortion and michael shelley in the same image often draw the former intimidating/enfolding the latter. But that’s not it at all, is it? They’re one and the same, yet mutually unrecognizable to each other. The distortion did not prey on michael shelley, he was fed to it and it was bound to him. And once it became clear it would not escape unscathed, it did not want him. Michael shelley was never even meant for the spiral at all, and it shows in how it acts as a distortion. If anything, the intimidating factor above the hapless human should be gertrude robinson, not any facet of something that could be called michael in some capacity
Every younger sibling I know feels like they can’t do the older sibling’s “thing”. Older sibling is a soccer player? Can’t do that! Older sibling is a computer geek? Computers are now impossibly confusing. Older sibling likes star wars? Your only two options are star trek or to forgo science fiction altogether. I don’t know why this is the case but my guess is so that the younger sibling’s successes can’t be directly compared to the older one’s, which will probably be better because they’ve done it longer.
Now, I know Stan and Ford are twins and thus the same age. But I think something similar applies here: Stan couldn’t be a nerd because Ford got the title first. So he didn’t even try. Ford would always be smarter, so he embraced his other skills (of physical prowess and later scamming).
In order to rebuild the portal, Stan not only had to process his grief and guilt enough to do things, but also get over the feeling that math was “Ford’s thing” that he was “taking over”. He had to get over the “Ford’s the smart one” rhetoric. Stan gets way too little credit in the fandom for what he managed to pull off to bring Ford back, both mathematically/mentally, and emotionally.
Inconsequential headcanon: Gerry Keay didn’t wear socks most of the time. He’d just put the shoes on and call it good
Happy bpm day btw!! I got caught up deciding which bpm post to reblog, got distracted, reblogged none of them. Uhh insert jurgen leitner copypasta here
Yee
This post literally changed my life- (in a good way)
Anyways since it looks like I might be a Tumblr User(TM) now, I figured it would be wayyy easier to find this post if I actually reblog it already instead of just leaving the url in random spots on my desktop. Hello tumblr welcome to my eternal brainrot I am very normal about fandoms that have a mind electric animatic
after seeing that other ask recommending you a song, I can't help but toss in my own recent obsession- The Mind Electric, though I'd recommend looking up the version without flashing lights / reversed audio. the lyrics, uh... really speak for themselves as to why it feels like a hordak song to me
Ah, all these song recommendations! Everyone should partake c:
Hey if jon feels the emotions of the statement giver do you think he was feeling jonah’s elation in 160 despite himself being beyond terrified? Hell, was he even terrified at the time? Was he even himself? We don’t know how the “briefly assuming the personality of the statement giver” works. Was he, briefly, just Jonah?
Fun fact about me: sometimes i know a franchise exists but i have no idea what format it’s in. Is this a podcast? A book? A game? A movie? And i’ll have to say, “no, i’ve heard of it, but i haven’t (verb of having interacted with the media) yet”. And people get weird if you say you haven’t read it and it’s actually a video game. So i usually say “absorbed” or “consumed” if i don’t know what the format is. And then i frantically google it under the table so that i can use the proper verb the next time it comes up
More tma posting and also somewhat to the side, but a good example of “i saw it coming and it still hit me like a truck” is tma season 4. I knew EXACTLY where they were going to go with Martin from the moment they started laying the seeds, and I also knew it was going to emotionally obliterate me, and I was so excited to see how they executed it. Knowing where something is gonna go sometimes adds to the suspense and anticipation.
I love catching where something is gonna go. It makes me feel smart, and then it makes me feel excited to read/watch/listen to the rest of whatever it is, see it play out.
that some people respond to any well-foreshadowed reveal with “ugh that plot twist was so predictable” proves bad faith criticism has rotted their brains to the point they think it’s bad writing if they can correctly identify information the writers were intentionally giving them
Unrelated to the last post but what if the distortion was actually like. The output of one of the early machine learning image generators trying to make a person. Like hear me out ok. Struggles with hands, never looks quite right, tends to go a bit crazy with colours, may or may not be one with the background. Plus have you ever watched one of those timelapses of a ML program generating an image. Thats exactly how the distortion moves. Also fucked up geometry
I need to confess something
I’m actually of the Vast
Gremlin that visits random tags and profiles and likes 50 things and is never seen againMostly tma fandom thoughts tbhYippie
