I think the downright most horrific and brutal detail in the show is that Kilgharrah actually used Merlin to make sure Arthur's death happened with the pretence of protecting him

Passed down like folk songs, our love last so long.
Because it’s still Arthur and Merlin, after all these years. Together. Intertwined in countless tales interwoven with the history of these lands. Arthur and Merlin still fall together from people’s lips as they teach the next generation of the once and future great king and his sorcerer. Their names are still written in ink alongside the other on the page of yet another Arthuriana. Inextricable and integral. Together.
The envy Arthur and Lancelot would have had for each other must have been insane.
Because Merlin is secretive with Lancelot. He tells him things he would never tell Arthur, he opens up to him and Arthur knows he can never have that trust. Never have that closeness not while he’s king and Merlin a servant.
But to Lancelot he’s been secretive about protecting Arthur. It all resolves around Arthur, opening up about protecting Arthur, giggling over using magic to please Arthur. Lancelot knows it will never be him on the other side of the devotion not like this.
just like he will never be Gwen’s because she loved him once yes but at the end of the day it’s Arthur she chooses.
and in Arthur’s eyes Lancelot is Gwen’s first love will always be known as such and will always be looked at as such even if she loves him she loved Lancelot first and Arthur can’t help but think if she could have him she would.
Anyway I’m so sane about them and at the end of the day how they still understand why it’s like this because they would choose the other as well.
I hope to lord almighty and divine power on earth that vizzie does not touch mythology. Especially Greek myths. I can picture what she would do to Hades. A skinny pastey twink with long black hair. 🤢
God, me neither, I can imagine all the ways she would mess with greek mythology.
Honestly, I genuinely wonder now how she would handle Zeus and his cheating. Would he be the bad guy, or would he be given a reason to justify his cheating.
What if everyone in the digital circus is ai expect pomni?
Just imagine the biggest plot twist is everyone from Ragatha to Kinger turns out to be ai. And Pomni is the only real human, maybe a test experiment to see how the ai interacts with a real human.
Asks are welcome for her! I'll be answering it under #scornedoctavia !
CW familial abuse, incest, incestuous abuse, sexual abuse <mentions only, self harm, eating disorders, addiction
With the expulsion and betrayal of her father, leaving her with her abusive uncle and unstable mother, Octavia is left even more distraught and lost then ever before.
At first it was easy to blame everything on her father, but then she caught onto her Uncles abusive tendencies, how he treated her mother... She always had a feeling her mothers immature nature was hiding something more, how she drowned herself in socializing and making sure to be around others all the time. But when her uncle moved in, something had changed. He isolated both her and her mother, even more then they were under Stolas's "care", he was flippant with his mood, and especially affectionate to her mother. Her mother never seemed quite comfortable, though clearly she just wanted to make her brother proud and took it on the chin.
It wasn't just her mother he was... affectionate with. He called her by her nickname despite never being in her life before. " Via~ " a slimy tone. lingering touches on her shoulders that made her shudder. She knew her uncle was gay, she had the misfortune of being left home alone by her parents every time he had a wedding to a new suitor, those never lasted. Surely he was just... flamboyant. It wasn't too different then her fathers sexual comments around her to do with that... man.
She found herself pulling out her feathers, leaving a right mess of her hair and tail, bald patches covered her weakened body. She had stolen some of her fathers old cigarettes, smoking seemed to calm her mind, if only slightly. Taking care of herself became harder, she often found herself unable to muster up the courage to undress to bathe when her uncle was in the mansion. No matter the wing he was in, no matter if the door was locked. She believed it was a stupid fear, but a fear nonetheless.
The date of her 18th was fast approaching, not that it mattered. She had no one to celebrate it with, and it wasn't like anything would change once she turned 18. Or at least that's what she thought. Wandering the mansion, a habit she had started when all of her fathers stuff had finally been disposed of. Chitter came from the longue her mother and uncle often inhabited, though this time something was different. Her mothers voice was booming, though less scratchy as it usually was, these shouts clearly came from the bottom of her chest. Octavia had never heard her mother use such a tone. "ARE YOU INSANE? SURELY YOU ARE PULLING MY FEATHERS" Stella growled, though the man only cooly replied "Oh, dearest~ sister, why would i ever joke about family affairs like this?". Stellas beak audibly snapped shut at the tone, he continued "Marrying our lovely Via off will advance our families bloodline within the Goetia, surely even you can wrap that pwetty, wittle head around that~!" in a cooing tone. Octavia gasped in utter shock, HE was planning on getting rid of her? at the thought the shock dissipated as this made complete sense, he was a selfish greedy man, of course he would. Octavia cautiously peered into the longue to listen in further...
To be continued!
Authors note: This is my first time trying to fully write out dark themes like this. I understand if people are uncomfortable, but I by no means intend to romanticize or normalize this subject matter! Like all authors I'm pulling from my life experience and what I've witnessed around me, so I'll try my best to be authentic and honest with these themes.
I am by no means affiliated with d4rkfic/pr0para/ship/fic/d34dd0ve or any of that stupid shit lmao.
Gwaine in a large amount of Arthurian myths: I'm a serious knight and, while I do screw up occasionally, I try my best, which is the main thing.
Gwaine in Merlin: *swishing his gorgeous hair out of his eyes and revealing half his man-cleavage whilst he grins flirtily at Merlin* I'm bisexual, I'm Irish and I hate the monarchy; fancy a kiss?-
it’s a TRAGEDY that we never got acknowledgement of gwaine knowing about merlin’s magic, but it’s ALSO a tragedy that we never got gwaine nOT knowing about merlin’s magic but still being a ride or die anyway with ZERO explanation needed to fully commit to whatever lie the situation called for
merlin, limping up, covered in blood, still holding a knife: “listen, if anyone asks, i need you to say that i was with you last ni-”
gwaine: “we fucked last night until dawn, got it”
“n-no, you can just say we w-”
“it was tender but passionate, and you said thank you at the end”
So just netflix then
