And she sits there complaining about not having a tragic backstory since every rouge needs a tragic backstory, and that it’s so unfair that Riz has one. He’s got a dead dad, a mom who over works, a missing baby sitter, and he’s poor. And she’s got a pretty much perfect white picket fence life. And all the while the werewolf guidance counsellor who stays as half wolf as a from of a political statement, who less than a few weeks ago was a drug dealer and super down on his luck and life was just over all bad for him has to be like “hmm yea unfair… how about your adventuring skills?”

Fit is fine. He's got it.

He's fine when Tubbo vanishes into thin air. He's fine when Pac gets ripped out of his hands and people just keep chatting like nothing fucking happened.

And when he finally finds it in him to speak, they've got the fucking nerve to sound surprised.

He doesn't sleep that night, but there are no windows in the room, so he doesn't see the sky go red again.

He's fine when the mission doesn't go well - he's all distracted and his thoughts are all over the place, and no one fucking listens to him when he says they should probably wait a little before going in, because he knows how the fucking Federation works by now. He's fine when he kills every fucking mob on the way back. When he almost loses sight of the fucking code, he's fine also.

He's fine as he cleans the Resistance until there's not a single speck of dust. Fine when he snaps at Bagi, and when she just smiles at him and tells him he can stay over with her and Em for the night if he doesn't want to be alone. And when she gives him a hug.

He's fine as he sits with Sunny at Tubhaus in total silence, too. He arrived in a hurry, in late realization that he'd seen the name pop up on the comm and she was probably there waiting for her dad, alone.

Sunny smirked at him, looked him up and down apprehensively in her usual manner, asked him where the crown was. How the thing with Pac went.

Fit had nothing to say. He wished Phil was there, Phil would know what to do. He's done this before, Fit hasn't. Not like this, anyway - "Spreen left for cigarettes" bullshit aside, he'd always known, deep down, that the fucker was six feet under. And Ramon did too, as it turned out.

And then the sky is red again and about 10 minutes later Em is limping towards them, feet shoeless and bloody, hands trembling as she signs to him quickly.

He's fine when he accidentally sees Sunny write in her diary how Tallulah will finally want to be friends with her now.
