(bit of "ew" moment?? I dunno how to name it, anyway warning for cringe and ew)

So i guess we all like Miguel's fangs.

Okay, noted. But i'd like to contribute to that kink a bit.

With some memes.

I suppose he's immune to his own venom. And i also suppose he can control the flow of it when he releases it. And that sometimes, when he loses it to strong emotions, his venom just spills out.

That being said, imagine a scenario where it's been weeks since you two have seen each other. Because he's a workaholic.

And so when the opportunity presents itself, you both are so touch starved, you just go right to pound town. Well, you were ABOUT TO.

Because Miguel just lost it. To lust, to emotions and to you pleading for him to hurry up and fuck you to oblivion.

And when he bit you to show you how ready he is, he accidentally poisoned you.

A beat.

You touch your neck. When you bring your hand closer to your face, the blood on your fingertips is a bit more runny and transparent that it should be.

You lift your gaze up to meet his own just to notice how Miguel is freaking out himself even more than you are.

Here i'll save us all time and finish my rambling by saying that it all ends well, because Miguel takes care of you and apologizes (way too much even). Not like you mind to be poisoned by him, but a warning next time would be great.

Attention Writers!!!

So many times I see "just write! Doesn't matter if it's bad! You can always revise!!"

And I get that. It's something that a lot of people struggle with; being perfect on the first go. It's true that you shouldn't stress yourself out with something being messy. First drafts are BY NATURE messy.

But NEVER

I repeat

NEVER

Force yourself to write when you can't

Putting impossible deadlines or goals on yourself will NOT HELP

Writing should be fun! If it's not fun, if it's not freeing, if it's stressful and taxing and doesn't feel worth it

Stop

And let that be okay.

You don't have to suffer for good art.

Allow yourself to take a break. Take care of yourself.

But that doesn't mean you can't work on it.

Do background research. Outline. Take a personality quiz for your characters. Try to draw your characters. Try to draw scenes. Focus on character building. Write side projects. Create mood boards. Do whatever you want.

Thinking about it counts as working on it!!!

The writing process is vast and non-linear. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you HAVE to write every single day.

You don't HAVE to.

It's true, you can always revise things you don't like.

But it's also true that the writing process is more than just writing

While the first piece of advice always comes from the best of intentions, I've seen so many writers sink into bouts of depression, anxiety, terror, and low self worth because they missed their goal, they haven't written, they've run out of steam, they lack motivation.

And it saddens me every time.

Writers, take care of yourself.

Remember thinking about it counts as working on it

Approach your craft with love

I wonder why no one still made a website where you could publish your unfinished work and the readers could add in the next chapters thus you as a fandom would be making a fic together

Or maybe like make it additional where you as the original author could choose from the pull where this story should go

And the names of other authors who joined in would also be highlighted in the chapters which they wrote so the readers would know who to thank for the continuation of a story

And then you as an original author could add co-creators so they'd also be able to add new chapters when you can't

Of course all the names are in tags duh

But like... imagine

(I swear i realized it sounds so much like google dox in the midst of writing it but pls get my point because as a burnout perfectionist who always thinks and never finds the strength to finish it this site would be helpful af, plus it's a good way of creating a rather interesting narrative as a group project and working alongside each other with so many creative people is just pure bliss)

Watching people claim Astarion is just a gay man and hin romancing women isn't accurate

The idea that feminine men or at least flamboyant queer men are only gay is just wrong. There's plenty of feminine flamboyant men who wear dresses and makeup or act like pirate princes and have wives. Sexuality and orientation is a spectrum. Especially a vampire several hundred years old he can express himself however he wants. I'm pan too and genderfluid and sometimes I'm in suits and flirting with men. Queer culture and experiences are not just black and white

I'm so tired of pan erasure. Astarion will quite literally romance anyone. Reducing the boxes queer men can exist in is problematic and pointless. There is queer combinations beyond your wildest dreams that won't make sense to you and that is absolutely wonderful
