im still fleshing out the story but basically straggle is a decepticon who joined and was reformatted into a triple changer after the death/disappearance of his mentors/advisors

by the end of the war straggle was sorta lost especially since he was fueled by the war and senseless violence to distract himself, eventually being consumed, but then it turns out one of his advisors, cargo was revived by the necrobot/mortilus when he decided to start saving people for real so now staggles kinda having an identity crisis

Imagine the reason why Optimus is so focused on Earth isn't because of a noble, sentimental reason... it's because his Prime instincts/the Matrix is literally screaming that the planet is the only cage (blood and bone fueled by the cycle of death of its inhabitants howling, clawing, demanding for the right to exist) that's stopping a fully revived Unicron from consuming all life itself

There's no way he can realistically explain this is his faction or to any other Cybertronian, like who the hell would legimately believe that the Unmaker is within a random orangic, thriving planet in tiny pocket of the space-boonies?!
