Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave the school untouched.
tbh the most unrealistic thing in harry potter is when mrs weasley in the first book asks “now what’s the platform number?”
like this woman has been going to that school for seven years and then dropped kids off on the same place for nearly ten like why on earth would she forget the platform number

I like believing that Slytherins did fight in the battle, fought for their home, where they grew up. They probably dropped the cloaks and ties in order to not be a target.
Slytherins levitating rubble off of students
Slytherins sending the spiders flying out windows
Slytherins using hidden passages to evacuate students
Slytherins using hidden passages to sneak up on the enemy
Slytherins with no death eater affiliations, fighting death eaters to save their friends
Slytherins with death eater affiliations going through a mental turmoil as they have to make a decision on which home means more to them, and choosing Hogwarts.
Slytherins, fighting for Hogwarts because hogwarts is home. Where they had their first crush, kiss, ghost encounter. Where they learned how to read the stars and bottle fame. Where they met the people they now call brothers and sisters.
Slytherins man. Teenagers fighting in a war that they never should have to, but doing it anyway because they protect what is theirs.
So me 😂😂
Ravenclaw: I’m cold.
Gryffindor: Here, have my jacket.
Hufflepuff: Hey, I’m cold too.
Slytherin: What?! *takes off jacket* I fucking told you to bring more fucking layers but of course you didn’t listen and now *piles scarves on Hufflepuff* I fucking have to makes sure you don’t fucking FREEZE TO DEATH, but you’re allergic to sweaters, so what the fuck did I expect, and *takes somebody else’s hat* how fucking long have you been cold? You should’ve said something sooner.
I agree with this Harry Potter; books and fanfics are my escape
does the harry potter series feel really really cozy to anyone else?? i can’t explain it - i don’t know why. it feels .. like home? it feels like a beautiful and foggy autumn day. idk why but it makes my heart go !!!!!!!
Befriend a Slytherin.
They are not only useful to have as friends, but also one of the most loving people when they like you.
Can you imagine Snape going out for a nighttime stroll because he can’t sleep even though it’s pouring rain, and as he’s walking, impervious to the storm and nearly lost in thought, he finds this cat and he figures it must belong to one of the students and he’s just thinking ‘this is no weather for a cat to be out in’ because the poor thing is soaking wet and probably freezing. So he picks it up, meaning to bring it inside, and as he’s walking this cat just starts licking his hair like it’s trying to groom him and Snape’s just like “Good Lord, cat! Who are you, my mother?” but he’s not really that upset and he brings that cat into the castle and leaves it by the nearest fireplace so it can warm up and find the student it belongs to.
Then YEARS later, long after he’s become aware that Minerva is an animagus, he’s just sitting at the staff table, eating breakfast or something, and just pauses with the spoon halfway to his mouth like ‘Wait a minute. That wasn’t a student’s cat. That wasn’t a student’s cat at all.’
I totally agree
Anyone in this fandom who tells someone to die or kill themselves based on what fictional character they like would get along splendidly with most of the Death Eaters, ironically the same characters you detest to the point of wishing suicide on someone. Like seriously, wtf is wrong with some of you people? Hiding behind a Tumblr handle like it makes you invincible when you’re really just cowards. Some of you don’t deserve to be potterheads.
