bruno madrigal headcanons

when bruno got his gift when he was 5 (at the same time as pepa and julieta), he saw so many different visions at once he almost collapsed.

alma didn’t notice because pepa had a thunder cloud over her head and it was raining, and julieta had no idea at the time what her gift was and thought she hadn’t received one.

it took a while for bruno to work out the kinks of his gift and to stop all the visions of the future happening at the same time.

it didn’t stop the visions from surprising him out of nowhere though, leaving a killer headache in their wake.

at first, all the townspeople of encanto were intrigued by bruno’s gift and they all wanted to know what their future’s were like. since alma had explained that they needed to use their gifts to help the encanto, bruno was more than happy to help.

he just wanted to make his mami proud of him

out of the three madrigal triplets, bruno was the one who seeked alma’s approval the most, especially the older he got and the more shunned he became.

when he tried to cheer pepa up on her wedding day and instead made things a thousand times worse, alma sent him away and when he got back to casita, that was when he discovered the hole in the wall.

when dolores was given her gift and she locked herself away in her room to drown out all the new sounds, bruno brought her a pair of earmuffs he used to help with his own sensory deprivation. she uses them all the time and never replaced them.

at first, the stairs to his vision cave/room weren’t steep at all, but the older he got and the more anxious he became, the steeper the steps became in an attempt to allow him time to calm down.

no matter how much he was struggling, he never let anyone see him cry.

i just did a high school musical marathon and let me tell you something. we all colectivelly slept on the greatness and graciousness of chad fucking danforth:

one of his first lines is making fun of sharpay saying she spent her winter break shopping for mirrors as if he was killing it and i think that's a very underrated moment

he was so invested in taking his best friend off the musical he developed a very detailed plan and used three synchronized watches to make sure everything would happen at the right time. that's commitment right there

he then recognized his mistake and put just as much effort in helping troy and gabriella do the damn audition

he walked around school carring a basketball for absolutely no reason

he had strong ideals and his priorities straight which made him immediately call troy out on his bullshit as soon as he started being an asshole on the second movie

he becomes more than just friends with ryan and does the BEST musical number of that movie while exploring his own sexuality potential in the arts, breaking free from the stigma around "dancing"

he had yet another flawless and very underrated performance on the third movie next to his bff, "the boys are back", in which he shows that yes he DOES like boys dance – and better than any other character actually

he has the best (and also the only) character development in the trilogy because he went from judging his best friend for wanting to sing to actively helping him be part of the school musical, then he began to accept the fact that he himself actually kind of liked performing as well and at the end he fully embraces his gay artistic side and becomes one of the PROTAGONISTS of the show which is just so incredible and inspiring and very well constructed

and last but not least he felt so emotional about separating from troy that he just left the stage in the middle of a show and left a giant audience WAITING while he was playing basketball and talking to his bff which is probably the highest possible level of drama queen and i think that's beautiful

oh and do i need to remind you that he gave us the iconic what team? WILDCATS, what team? WILDCATS, what team? WILDCATS, get your head in the game!

chad danforth and corbin bleu, we did you wrong. this was the funniest and most iconic, not to mention extremely handsome and crazy talented hsm character ever and i wish we saw it then. i hope someday we can make you justice

Ginny Weasley is six, and she’s getting very vocal about the fact that she is a girl, a girl, a girl! She becomes sullen, withdrawn, grumpy, and prone to tantrums when she is not listened to. 

Ginny Weasley is eight, and she is still a girl. Her parents and brothers have slowly become more and more supportive and accepting of this, and finally no one is misgendering her and mum has taken to calling her Ginny and everyone else has followed suit. She blossoms. Ginny is cheerful and exuberant and energetic. She never shuts up and laughs all the time.

Ginny Weasley is 14, and before she knew something was wrong, that she didn’t feel how people said she was supposed to, but now she thinks she doesn’t feel how she is supposed to feel again except this is a lack of feeling and how is she supposed to know if she just doesn’t feel something?

Ginny Weasley is 21 and realizing she is durasexual in addition to being ply. She worries she will never have a committed, stable, long-term relationship that she so wants.

Ginny Weasley is 33 and in a romantic and sometimes sexual relationship with Harry and Luna and in a qpp with Neville and Hermione. Ginny Weasley’s life is not perfect, but she’s pretty damn happy with how it’s turning out.

Hermione Granger is 10, and she’s having to explain to her parents and the tall, stern woman standing in her living room why her letter has the name “Hermione” on it. This isn’t something she’s said out loud before. And she’s crying and hunching over and stimming with her necklace, but the strangers sternness seems to suddenly disappear as she steps in and apologizes to Hermione and is somehow convincing her parent’s to leave while they talk. Professor McGonagall says her name is Minerva, but it wasn’t always, and she too is trans like Hermione, and she’s so sorry; Hogwarts’ system isn’t perfect and they never meant to forcefully out her to her parents, but Hermione is also a witch just like Minerva, and Minerva can erase her parents’ memories and they can start over without her parents’ remembering any of this business about Hermione’s true gender if she’s not ready yet. But it helps to know she’s not alone. Hermione works through her upset. She squares her shoulders. She’s ready.

Hermione Granger is 18, and she’s letting Ron down gently and admitting out loud for the first time that she’s aromantic. And she’s telling her friends for the first time that she’s trans. And Merlin, does she feel free.

Hermione Granger is 25 and the Ministry’s biggest thorn with all her activist campaigns. She’s got big plans and the drive to go through with them.

Bill Weasley is 17, and his baby sister is telling them all that she’s a girl, and Bill has trouble focusing for the next few months, buried in self-reflection.

Bill Weasley is 19, and he’s telling his family that he’s actually a boy man. And he’s far older than Ginny was, so there’s lots of confusion and resistance, but Bill knows now how to define how he feels, knows know that how he feels is valid, and he’s not backing down.

Bill Weasley is 27, and he’s marrying the love of his life, Fleur, who teaches him so many things. When she comes out as queer and agender, he discovers the term bi to describe his attraction. He helps her practice English, and he learns French. And everyday, he learns new depths of just how much he can love someone.

Nymphadora Tonks is 23, and ey has just given birth via donor. Maybe a committed and loving marriage isn’t in eir future, but ey are ready for a baby. And the moment that lil babe cries, Tonks’ heart bursts with love and all the loneliness ey’s ever felt suddenly seems like a dream. And when that little babe yawns and their hair goes from brown to Tonks’ pink shade, the whole world melts away, and Tonks knows true happiness.

Harry Potter is 16, and he’s coming to terms with being gray-asexual. And by coming to terms, Harry is actually burying these feelings under any and all other distractions he can.

Harry Potter is 22, and he’s leading pride parades down Diagon Alley and in Hogsmeade, proudly displaying his gray-ace shirt and bi flag. Oh, how far he’s come, learning to love himself by helping other’s to be able to do the same.

Harry Potter is 31, and they’ve just started questioning their gender. Some say they’re just trying to feel special by identifying as nonbinary. Harry shrugs and laughs and tells them they’re the Chosen One who defeated Voldemort. They don’t need to be made to feel any more special. They just need to be honest with themself.

Draco Malfoy is 15, and se knows se’s not allowed to talk about how se really feels. That’s not what Malfoy’s do. But Slytherin is full of secrets, and not all secrets are meant to be kept. In the darkest hour of night, on the 31st of the month, Slytherins solemnly gather in the common room and whisper out their secrets. This is not something that is ever spoken of, and one must never use information shared during this time against each other. So, in hushed tones, with hir eyes closed, every other month, Draco gets to admit se’s bigender.

Draco Malfoy is 24, and although Astoria knows hir secret and se knows hers, they are still pretending because it’s the easier thing to do.

Draco Malfoy is 39, and hir wife has died. Se feels empty and numb. Se goes through the motions for Scorpius. Se grieves.

Draco Malfoy is 44, and it’s time se started setting the example for Scorpius instead of the other way around. Too bad if hir parent’s don’t like it. Draco is bigender and attracted to men. Se’s achillean. And se’s tired of being alone.

Draco Malfoy is 51, and se’s getting married again. Se’s sure hir father is watching with a frown, but se can’t see anything but Blaise’s shining eyes staring into hirs - can’t even see the tears of joy Scorpius is subtly wiping away.
