The TAZ: Balance Music Festival is happening again this year!
What is the TAZ: Balance Music Festival?
It’s a weekend where we get together on a Discord server and listen to music that reminds us of TAZ:Balance characters, story arcs, and ships! Everyone is welcome! There’s discussion of TAZ and its content, other McElroy podcasts, and more!
Who’s involved?
I was a moderator last year, and this time I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be running the festival! Also participating will be my capable co-owner Miles, along with the six members of the moderation team! The server is currently eighty-seven members strong, though that doesn’t count systems. During the rest of the year, the server is very active, and has a strong and friendly community, with events, discussions, and support for one another- you’ll fit right in!
When is this happening?
The festival will run from Saturday, July 24, at 9 AM Central, to Monday, July 25, at 12 AM Central.

Do have to say I’m a bit confused about the posts today implying that the polygon fandom has been killed. I’m still here buckaroo
is it just me or is “what will polygon do without brian” kind of a backhanded statement to make?? brian leaving is obv really bittersweet and unraveled has been a huge success for the channel but none of that was solely brian. the entire video team was a part of that success and pat, simone, jenna, josh are gonna continue making excellent videos. anyways make sure you support brian any way you can and continue to support polygon if you love their content!! it sucks that brian won’t be there anymore but I trust that the video team will continue to be great :))
Just so we’re clear
supporting Brian’s right to do whatever he wants in his career and understanding that he’s still going to continue making delightfully weird content
and
being sad that we’re not gonna get more of the specific weird content he produces on polygon and/or being unsettled by the change in general
aren’t contradictory, and
Polygon is a website with 5 other video producers who are still around doing their best to produce excellent content, and a lot of Brian’s content wouldn’t have been possible without them either
and
Polygon as a website has been severely under-utilising these other video producers and has been producing fewer and fewer of the kinds of video series the fanbase fell in love with, and have been leaning more heavily on Brian-led content, such that they’re going to have to make some significant changes if they’re going to maintain their popularity
aren’t mutually exclusive opinions either
maybe the real bdg was the friends we made along the way... love y’all mutuals.
Friendly reminder that it is possible and perfectly Okay to be sad about bdg leaving polygon and to support him in his decisions and be exited about his future content at the same time.
Don't be mad at yourself if you're sad about it.
A thing that made u happy is now going to disappear or change, and that's scary. But the people won't disappear, be on the lookout for new independent bdg content going forward. I may fear change but I can't wait to see what the future has in store.
In the wake of the announcement- Brian’s resignation, that is- we need to remember that this is his decision.
Nobody gets to make that for him. Nobody gets to decide what he does but him.
Please remember that he is a real person. Please remember that he doesn’t deserve slander or needless criticism for making a choice that will be better for him in the long run.
Your needs as a fan do not take priority over his needs as a person.
Please let Brian make this decision.
