So I have a head cannon for C!Eret's chat which are ferrets that follow her around and shit.

But I had this magical idea that one-day Eret is just sitting in his throne arms resting on the armrests. But he gets the sudden urge to fucking poke at one the Ferrets that are just fucking KOed on their lap.

But when she pokes them, they don't move. So this singular ferret on his lap as limp AF I mean in that deep sleep when it suddenly hits her like- "Ayo, this mf might be dead!"

So our sweet hearted king like in the midst of a panic hastily scoops the poor thing up and shakes it like:

"Aye! (Sleeping chat members name) Wake up!.... Oh shit they might actually be dead."

But within seconds of them saying that the ferret groggily jerks wake with stanky ass breath as they yawn.

RANT POST: INCLUDES MENTIONS OF DEATH OF A PET AND SENSITIVE EMOTIONS

That was the minute your last breath hissed past your now cold motionless lips. The stale scent of death still lingers in the back of my mind, staining the base of my tongue with a bitter sourness that fails to faulter even as the sweet flavor that I once enjoyed all so much.

My body pleads with my mind that cries stubbornly saying that the time wasn't right, you still had so much life within the shine that glistened with the ember hues that had long since glazed over after many years with a harsh milky white but still burned with the hot embers from the inferno that once burned oh so bright within your eyes.

As I sat in the vehicle that led to your demise, I admired the way the sun caressed your features shining against your ash fur like a white halo, a photo painted in the delicate paints of nature, forever immortalized in your final hours. My trembling hand brushed the fur at the base of your tail that shifted jaggedly as you spared me a sorrowful glance, tears of your own streaking down your snout that had grown painfully white as time passed, your youth dripping from your figure like a faucet that was bound to freeze over as the weather turned frigid.

You knew just as much as we all did.

My mind stung with the memory's that we shared and the little things that filled my mind with ease.

Watching your motionless figure lay limp at my feet as the timestamp of your passing branded into my memory like a heated iron on the rear of a bull, I wept staring unseeingly at the faint smile across your lips, heart stinging with hatred for the twisted reality I now had to face. Your head lulling to the side at an unnatural angle yanking mercilessly at the strings of my already shattered heart, like a puppet to the puppeteer.

Leaning my heavy head against the front seat rest I sat darkened hues glaring dangerously at the grey clouds that caked over the seemingly endless sky.

Snow began to flutter.

You had bid your goodbyes-

No, not goodbyes, you told us all goodnights knowing this was not goodbye.

relief filled my heart knowing that you had gone in peace. Pain no longer lacing your muscles that screamed in agony, you lay behind me, heavy head placed in the lap of our mother, sister clutching the back wheel next to me as she held back her pains, lip quivering hoping that no one had seen her, she did not want to seem venerable, or even noticed which I had undoubtedly had. I said nothing, knowing how she wanted so desperately to cry out and curse the world as all of us did, but I sat silently.

Arriving to your final resting place I glanced back, head turning at the one I had once and still call my brother, my family. Your eyes lacked that once lively shine they once hold just moments ago, now haunting with the remnants of mother death caressing your still warm figure, thanks to the blankets that your siblings, your babies wrapped your figure in, wrapped in never dying love and affection. I reached a steady hand into your cocoon of warmth, caressing your fur once more tears again staining my cheeks, raw from scrubbing them so harshly, bottom of my nose red and eyelids puffy I spared a single smile. The one I shared with you in your last moments of life. Now shared with you in your first moments of invisible immortality.

Your sisters, mother and I bid our final goodbyes to your physical body that sat motionlessly in the back seat of your hearse, wrapped comfortingly in the soft coffin to which it will stay till time ceases to exist.

Staring down at the turned soil mixed with the frozen water that fell from above, blanketing your descended figure I lingered, the frosty tears that fell from above caressing my reddened cheeks, scraping harshly at the rawness of my exposed flesh as you howled out your words that only came on the whistle of the wind not yet to be understood by human ears, but I glanced to the bright but clouded sky that smile you loved oh so much again playing against my aching features, I chuckled at your words wrapping the leash that once led me around my neck I nodded.

"I'll visit you every chance I get, I promise, even if I'm not able to any time soon, I will forever remember you." I choked back a throat tightening sob as I spoke, voice cracking painfully.

As day now turned to night you linger in my mind, even if it had been just a few fast-passing hours I linger in the home we all shared, silence deafening and gut wrenching, I linger on the sunken in furniture waiting for the weight to shift beside me, for me to glance over and see your figure, snout nestled into the crook of my knee, tail thumping against the stiff furniture. But all there is now, a cold spot where you once lay. My hand ghosting over what once was.

I sit here, crying silently in grief of your absence but again I sit here joyed, happy that you are no longer in pain.

I vow to read books aloud in case you are here listening silently. I will laugh louder even if it is hard to come but I will bellow in triumph, the melody of joy echoing into the heavens above in a way to tell you I am happy, and I have not forgotten you.

I love you so so so so so so so so so much, I am glad we met in this lifetime I wouldn't have it any other way.

Rest your weary head my brother, Sleep soundlessly Trip I love you <3
