Why am I considering implying this in my fic

you could never let me be in charge of creating vat7k because i'd have 100 gecs playing with a montage of the gang spying on hugo in an underground strip club (varian got suspicious of why hugo disappears for days at a time and of course this is the one time hugo isn't in cahoots with donnie) (hugo's actively stealing jewelry off of people while getting laid) (varian never asked where hugo went during his free time again but he thinks about it every single day)

i love varigo. i also hate them so so bad. And not like in a loving way like i genuinely hate them sometimes because im tired of them taking over the tts fandom when they literally ARENT REAL. but also i love them and im obsessed with them and they make me sick and i love nuru and yong and theyre my ocs and if everyone doesnt appreciate them as much as i do ill kill everyone in this room and then myself. i love vat7k conceptually and for what its become because the way its brought people together i think is truly what modern fandom was always meant to be. i love seeing all you guys especially younger teens who are new to fandom all just coming together in a little sandbox to play toys together. it also drives me crazy sometimes because your drama is absolutely absurd and makes me want to tear my hair out. the vat7k fandom is like the little cousin i love so so dearly but pretend im not related to in public. i love you guys. i admire you. Im highkey afraid of you. i fear that every day varian and vat7k slowly inches closer to the mainstream and this actually terrifies me because the consequences of this escaping containment would be catastrophic. I want everyone to share the joy of this group project but also we need to keep it locked up forever for the good of humanity. vat7k is like pandoras box. i hope one day ill see varian and hugo cosplayers at a convention because ill cry tears of joy and also despair. I don't think tangled is ever getting any continuation. Like ever. The series didn't make much money in the long run, so the most this fandom will get is a crappy live action and maybe a crappier Gothel movie. Like tangled two is incredibly pointless because we have the show, which is just a sequel but better cause it's a show. Also, I'd vibe with a Cass spinoff the most cause it's something I think about the least (no hate to Cass, I adore her) but low-key ship her with lady Caine so they at least need to interact

Suppose Tangled did have a sequel in the future. In that case, they'll probably de-canonise Tangled the series/Rapunzel's tangled adventure like replacing Varian with a female or an elderly alchemist, or that one book called "What Once was Mine: A Twisted Tale" where Cassandra was replaced with a thief named Gina. Or the book titled "Mother Knows Best: A Tale of the Old Witch" based on Mother Gohtel. Where it doesn't reference Gothel being part of the Zhan Tiri followers, or the new book coming next year called Rootbound: A Tangled Novel, where it wouldn't base its novel on the series. But maybe because the author wanted to do their own take on the movie, and not bases off a show. Varian and the seven kingdoms (Cancelled idea for a spinoff of the series) are already scrapped and would probably be the project that Disney's portfolio of scrapped and abandoned projects. And the spinoff for Tangled the series will probably be Eugene and Lance, or Cassandra.

Varian like has this huge prejudice against Hugo throughout the whole thing, having to do with a lot of things- Hugo just betrayed their group and V and him had this huge argument where they're on terrible terms atp. Hugo fought back in this argument mostly bc he just wanted to V to see where he was coming from and how much he didn't want it to happen. Varian's beyond heartbroken rn, just shattered and numb that he trusted someone to just have it broken again. It's kinda like The Great Tree incident with Raps and Cassandra on terms of strained but make it 80 times worse. So like they're in front of this giant library type building in my mind right- but like- huge- its HUGE and the doors are very very much locked and this is where the song starts- The lair of Scylla This is our only way home

^ ( basically, Hugo admits to at one point having an opportunity to leave Donella, but in return he gets completely disowned, and Hugo didn't want to lose her. He didn't want to choose, but he obviously looked up to Donella like a parent figure. Since she's all he had)

What if Donella wasn't just cursed to never enter the library, but she was cursed to never be able to use/work with magic again? Whenever one of her soldiers retrieved an enchanted item for her, it always worked for them but never for Donella. That's part of why she needed Hugo to be the one to go on the trials. Of course it's because he's smart, but it's also because he's an artificer, and enchantments and whatnot are kinda his whole thing. She could send her entire army into the library on her behalf, but none of them would know where to go from there. Hugo would.

Also, I like to think that Hugo often helped Donella when combining said magic objects into her weapons. Donella and some of her workers would make the weapon, but Hugo would add the item and make sure it's in perfect condition for their clients. Mainly I just need some mother/child bonding. Like Donella eventually letting Hugo work almost alongside her, and Donella teaching young Hugo more advanced things about engineering (though Hugo would just use this knowledge to upgrade Olivia, but don't tell Don that!)

Cassarian and Varipunzel shippers are either groomers with pedo fantasies or homophobic christians dumping hate on Varigo.

Varian doesn't deserve that.
