Random idea that's been living in my head rent free and I needed to yap about it even a little: Hugo doesn't have wanted posters. Like at all. Donella made sure to get rid of all of them because dealing with her employee/son being wanted in like a million towns and kingdoms and whatever would just be a hassle. Donella did keep at least one of them, maybe Hugo's very first since he started working for her. So if in one of the trials (maybe the iron trial) Varian finds Hugo's wanted poster in Donella's base... I really wanna figure out what would happen

headcanon that Varian picks up on a few ingavarrian swears solely cuz he hears Hugo mutter them all the goddamn time. Does he know what it even really means in slang terms? Who knows—but it totally takes Hugo off guard to hear the other alchemist say it out loud directly at him one particular time when he was exceptionally pissed at his lil shit antics. I honestly dont really like Starbucks, since i drink my coffee black and bitter (like the Gods intended) and their roasts really suck and cost a bajjillion friggen dollars, @goggles-varian on the other hand? Oh boy.

His coffee order is a monstrosity of sugar. It's some wired mocha cookie crumble latte chino frappé with a billion other things that I apparently always order wrong (even though its not my fault hes practically inventing a new element with that shit) that I just call "diabetes in a cup" and the one time he gave me a sip, I recoiled and it took me hours to get the taste outta my mouth.

I prefer my coffee to be made at home (and when we do that, Hairstipe just mades creamer and sugar with a side of coffee) so yeah.

look. i’m not saying “fear is the heart of love” is gonna get a follow-up oneshot, because that would be ridiculous. i’m also not saying that you should be on the lookout for “the incision always follows”, because now we’re entering downright ludicrous territory. i’m also not saying that some more comments on the og oneshot would speed up my writing process and motivate me tremendously, as well as warming my little heart. i’m glad we understand each other.

i love varigo. i also hate them so so bad. And not like in a loving way like i genuinely hate them sometimes because im tired of them taking over the tts fandom when they literally ARENT REAL. but also i love them and im obsessed with them and they make me sick and i love nuru and yong and theyre my ocs and if everyone doesnt appreciate them as much as i do ill kill everyone in this room and then myself. i love vat7k conceptually and for what its become because the way its brought people together i think is truly what modern fandom was always meant to be. i love seeing all you guys especially younger teens who are new to fandom all just coming together in a little sandbox to play toys together. it also drives me crazy sometimes because your drama is absolutely absurd and makes me want to tear my hair out. the vat7k fandom is like the little cousin i love so so dearly but pretend im not related to in public. i love you guys. i admire you. Im highkey afraid of you. i fear that every day varian and vat7k slowly inches closer to the mainstream and this actually terrifies me because the consequences of this escaping containment would be catastrophic. I want everyone to share the joy of this group project but also we need to keep it locked up forever for the good of humanity. vat7k is like pandoras box. i hope one day ill see varian and hugo cosplayers at a convention because ill cry tears of joy and also despair. it's okay for them to switch alternately who tops and who bottoms—they're scientists ffs, and if we're being for fuckin real rn they'd both totally be interested and 100% down to explore every options they have on the table

because at the end of the day, they're equals ffs—heck, them mutually switchin just further greatly elevates showcasin the level of trust and openness they're willing to give each other when they're being deeply intimate and vulnerable together

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Another random vat7k post but I’m reaching out to ask if anyone actually knows what the seven trials were about? I know it goes with the alchemical elements fire, water earth etc etc and it also has a different stage of spiritual alchemy like calcination, dissolution so on and so forth — but other than that like. what happens lmao what do Varian and the others have to go through to get the totems

I have a couple ideas in mind for whenever i hopefully write some vat7k stuff (like the fire trial involving fire, duh, and the water trial maybe using a diving bell to get to the location bc I think that’s cool) but I also wanted to check and see if there was actually any sources out there explaining what happens in each trial, if not at least one or two

To be fair he's the character I hear about the least in team radical so it's fair enough (this fandom needs to go in our Yong era already)

I'm voting Varian but for me it's between him and Hugo <3 my favorite little bitches

Young Hugo with a group of other orphans on their way to steal from Donella. They succeed, somehow, and Hugo has the treasure/whatever thing they stole. But Donella's soldiers are chasing them. Not everyone is gonna make it out. One of the kids asks Hugo for the treasure thing, and Hugo throws it. The kids are now within reach of the soldiers. Hugo is about to catch up to the other orphans when one of the kids kicks the wall hard and a ton of heavy supplies and machinery fall on Hugo. That, is how Hugo lost his leg (in my fic anyways)

Also Olivia gets a little dented here but she gets saved by one of the soldiers or Donella herself, and then Hugo reunites with her after he wakes up

Donella also makes Hugo's mechanical leg and teaches him how to make it stronger (though he really uses this knowledge on Liv, despite how much Donella makes it clear she thinks the mouse is useless)
