The Isms of Religion

There are many, many “isms” regarding religious beliefs and practices. The two most well known would be polytheism and monotheism.

Polytheism: the belief in and worship of more than one/multiple gods or deities. Ancient Egyptian/Kemetic and Greek religions were polytheistic. Some modern day examples are certain forms of Hinduism and various neopagan revival movements.

Monotheism: relatively new compared to polytheism, this is the belief and worship in a single god or deity. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are the best examples of monotheistic religions, but even in some cases (mainly Christianity), this concept can get tricky. This will be discussed shortly.

So what other isms exist besides these two? Well let’s take a look.

Atheism: Many atheists further emphasize that atheism itself is not “a religion,” but quite the opposite, being instead the simple lack or absence of any “religion” whatsoever. On the other hand, some religions such as Buddhism and Jainism can be characterized as “atheistic” in nature, insofar as they do not recognize the existence of god(s).[x] But even then, this will vary on geography; for example, there are gods in Tibetan Buddhism, albeit they are seen as a level below a Buddha. In addition, atheism historically did not always mean the absence of belief in a god/gods. It could also mean an individual did not believe in the “mainstream” practices at the time; an example would be early Christians in the Roman Empire. The Romans generally liked to incorporate the deities of conquered lands to their practices, and would allow conquered peoples to continue practicing their own religions. However, since the Christians denied all other gods including the Roman ones, they were declared atheists and faced rebuttal from their neighbors (this is much more detailed and complicated scenario, but for another post).

Agnosticism: This term comes from the Greek gnosis (meaning “knowledge”), but modified with that same sort of negating “a-“ prefix that turns theism (the belief in God or gods) into atheism (the lack of belief in God or gods). So, agnosticism (literally “a-gnosticism,” denoting a lack or absence of gnosis or knowledge) simply refers to being “without knowledge,” one way or the other, regarding God (or gods). Strictly speaking, agnosticism technically refers to the view that definite knowledge about God is impossible or unavailable; colloquially, however, agnosticism is often used more loosely by many people to refer to their persistent personal uncertainty, one way or the other, about the existence of God. Many agnostics so identify themselves simply as a shorthand means of indicating their own noncommittal indecision — a kind of “the jury is still out” position, somewhere midway between theism and atheism, neither fully believing nor fully disbelieving but suspending judgment and remaining open to either possibility. [x]

Animism: Polytheism frequently occurs in indigenous religions blended almost seamlessly with animism (from the Latin anima, meaning “life,” “life force,” “soul,” “spirit”), a view which holds that the world is filled not only with gods per se but also with a vast multitude of spirits of all sorts. Life or “spirit” is ubiquitous, according to animism, with even seemingly “inanimate” objects — rocks, mountains, rivers, wind — often regarded as “alive” insofar as they are each believed to be “ensouled,” each such natural feature possessing a separate and distinct spirit of its own. Add to this mix of gods and nature spirits the lingering (and often meddling, or otherwise influential) spirits of deceased ancestors, and the spiritual universe of polytheistic and animistic cultures begins to look like a pretty crowded place! [x]

Deism: This term comes from the Latin deus, which (like the Greek theos) simply means “god.” (Such terms as “deity,” “divinity,” and “divine” are also etymologically related to deus.) Accordingly, deism literally translates as “god-ism” (just as theism does, too). One might therefore be forgiven for assuming that deism and theism are synonymous — two alternative terms for the exact same thing. However, such an assumption would be incorrect. In practice, Deism as a distinctive term has come to refer quite specifically to a particular religious perspective (one quite distinct from the monotheism of traditional Christianity) that came to prominence during the 17th and 18th centuries, in the wake of the European Enlightenment. Deism holds that God initially created the universe, but subsequently left it to its own devices, allowing it to run unencumbered by further divine adjustment, guidance, or meddling. Deists therefore do not believe that God ever interferes with natural law, or intervenes in human history; hence Deism affirms no miracles, no prophecies, and no divine revelations. [x]

Henotheism: Another relatively new term for an ancient p.o.v., henotheism refers to the worship of one god while simultaneously acknowledging other gods. In other words, henotheists need not deny the existence of multiple gods, all of whom may be legitimately worthy of worship, but they choose to devote themselves only to one specific god (out of all the available gods). Vaishnava Hindus, for example, may primarily worship Vishnu or any of His incarnations, but still acknowledge other gods such as Shiva.

Omnism: Omnism is the recognition and respect of all religions; those who hold this belief are called omnists (or Omnists). In recent years, the term has been emerging anew, due to the interest of modern day self-described omnists who have rediscovered and begun to redefine the term. It can be thought of as syncretism taken to its logical extreme. However, it can also be seen as a way to accept the existence of various religions without believing in all that they profess to teach. Many omnists say that all religions contain truths, but that no one religion offers all that is truth. [x]

Pantheism: this term refers to the belief that God is in everything and everything is in God. The pantheist view maintains that there is no personal God as such, and that “God” and creation are one and the same. Whereas traditional monotheistic religions such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam typically maintain that God alone is divine, pantheism asserts that everything is divine, because everything is God. Like everything else, pantheism comes in various forms; some versions of pantheism amount to little more than reducing God to a synonym for nature or the cosmos, which is considered sacred in and of itself. [x]

Panentheism: Whereas straight pantheism insists that God and the universe are identical, panentheism allows that God “contains” the universe within him/her/itself, while also extending beyond the universe (so that God is not limited to, or exclusively contained within, the cosmos).

Trinitarianism: This term mainly applies to the Christian churches who maintain that God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). As mentioned in the beginning of this post, such a view has caused confusion and controversy for believers and non-believers alike over the past millenia. It is understandably confusing to claim that a religion is monotheistic while also saying that God is Three distinct Persons. However, Trinitarian theology is a topic for another post. However, triune natures of deities are not limited to just Christianity. Check this post out for more information.

Unitarianism: On the other hand, this term is often used by Christian churches who affirm that God is not of a tri-fold nature. It can also refer to other religious views that hold strict monotheistic views of God, such as Islam, which claims that God can neither beget nor be begotten (i.e., Jesus being the son of God).

Difference between Spirituality and Religion...

Difference Between Spirituality And Religion...

Shoutout to this anon for this wonderful idea.

Disclaimer : These are my thoughts and belief. You don't have to agree with me on each point.

Difference Between Spirituality And Religion...
Difference Between Spirituality And Religion...

Spirituality

"Spirituality is having your own experience."

Spirituality let's you discover

Spirituality lets you discover and it empowers you to find your own truth make your own believes and it is your choice whether you believe something or not.

Spirituality believes in Karma

Spirituality is what you give comes back to you be it a good deed or a sin. It will eventually find its way back to you and I believe within this lifetime.

It let's you find your own path

It never asks you to walk on a particular path. Spirituality sets you on your own path- one which the only limits are set by yourself. It’s all about following your own heart.

There are no rules

Spirituality has no rules the only thing it has is freedom. freedom to make your own path ; to make your own decisions ; to make your own belief system.

It is based purely on love and not fear

Spirituality encourages making decisions out of love and the pure desire to be the best you can be, for its own sake.

Spirituality unites people

To spirituality all the truth is same, although there could be different perspectives. Ultimately, spirituality teaches us there are no walls, divisions, borders, races, or cultural divides; we’re all one.

Difference Between Spirituality And Religion...

Religion

"Religion is belief in someone else's experience. "

Religion tells you what to believe

Religion is black and white we are taught to what to believe in and what not. We don't have a say in what we are believing it is just we have to close our eyes and believe whatever we are told.

Religion beleives in punishment

Religion has always taught me that whatever crimes I commit in this lifetime be it small or big. I have to pay for it in after life to be honest until this date I have never heard anyone talking about the good things I do in my religion it is always the bad things they give lectures on. A famous quote here is "nobody will notice 1000 good things you have done but 1 mistake and everyone notices it while you also pay for it"

You have to follow someone else's path

Religion talks a lot about ancient gods and old stories. And there are some set believes which you have to follow you can't even alter them a bit it has to be done the way it is. They were made by someone else and we are just following their path.

Religion is rigid

Again the same point but religion is full of rules and there is no freedom like some of the rituals are so so so so planned that everything should go the way it is and you have to do it like your great grandfather's use to do.

In religion their are alot of fears

Throughout religion, there is lots of fear. The afterlife, particularly, is a big one. There are very specific rules that create real problems if they’re not followed. This can lead to psychological complexes and insecurities. But choices made from fear never produce the right results.

Religion seperates people

To each religion, their story is the only way. All others are false. And I don't further need to explain it.

Difference Between Spirituality And Religion...

I thought that brief description to each point will help you understand better. So, I added that.

My theory : Now this is my theory and you can have other opinions. So, I think that all religion stems from deep spirituality. Jesus and Prophet Mohammed, for example, all had deeply profound spiritual journeys before they embarked on their own. Each religion has beautiful souls, but anything that carries the negative aspects of religion will hurt the progress of humanity…and the world.

You are the end.

you've already succeeded. You have everything. You have all you desire, you have all that you want and you feel fulfilled. You feel content. There's this lightness in your heart and despite the weight resembling a feather it brims with content and peace, as though there's a calm wave enveloping you, hugging you, caressing through the locks of your hair and allowing you to melt into the strange warmth it brings you, the comfort that lies within its deep waters. You don't need to do a thing, you never had to, you don't even need to breathe. It's all fine. Your limba are relaxed, your jaw slack, eyes shut, and you're fine. You feel a sense of completion, and you come to terms with your life: You are the end.

I'm fascinated with some of his answers! What does he think of atheists/agnostics, science, other religions like Judaism, Buddhism,Hinduism or people who are condemned by some of the Christians like homosexuals, trans, etc.(It's okay if he chooses not to answer). About his interventions, can't he just manifest the desired outcome since his God? Also, what does he think of Neville's teachings? Or loa in general since it has also roots in other scriptures I think. And are there any quarrels or skirmishes among cosmic beings? How do they resolve it? The Panoptican theory is definitely interesting. And does he think there is someone else watching over them(him and other eternal beings)? I'm also currently contemplating whether him or all this is just a conjuration on your part and mine. I also recommend watching the egg by kurzgesagt. And I'm going to hell fr lol. Anyway, convey my regards to him and I wish the both of you well:).( I also thank him for his lovely words. I'll be taking care of myself and I hope both of you do the same.💗)

"Does he ever attempt to communicate with other higher beings" , paraphrased but you get what I meant

He doesnt force anyone to believe him. He thinks that there might be a higher power who made him cause when he basically became aware of his existence, there were already some beings who already knew of their existence, so he cant cross that out with complete confidence. He personally believes the idea that every religion and every belief system is partially correct. "If I had a creator, I would give half truths but not lies and when you piece them all together, you will have learned the secrets of the universe", which basically means all the religions and belief system have parts that are correct and if you find all of them, you'd figure it out.

He has this blanket rule for all humans. "If they don't harm anybody as a collective then there is nothing wrong with an individual being part of said collective", basically if they as individuals do not harm others as that identity then he has no problems with them. It's basically I dont care if youre this or that because I'd love you either way unless you hurt people ,, he draws the line there. He doesnt completely understand the condemnation of some of them. Some of them he did say but doesnt stand by those statements today; some he said but was severely misinterpreted (for the gays: he said dont sleep with kids and that is it), and some he didnt say at all. it usually came from people who believed their thoughts and their opinions were that of gods and wrote or rewrote the book

He has a thing against influencing people beyond free will. He'll nudge you in the direction he wants you to go but if you go or not depends on you. Plus the two major interventions I said last time, he directly intervened during that time and it originally had the desired effect until certain things. He did them so humanity itself could restart on all they've done but it hasn't worked because humans stay human. He doesnt want to manifest things get better, he wants to see if it ever does. It's basically his own test on humanity

He's fine with his teachings but thats about it. He doesnt have an opinion on it basically. "What else is there supposed to say?", is all he said after saying his teachings were fine. He finds loa interesting since all Gods and higher beings use it on a technical standpoint. It interests him more than anything. He wont try stopping it or helping it, unless deity-work is involved. He said divine timing doesn't exist anyway

"If there were.. or are fights between them, I would not know. Some of them do try to talk to us but I think it's like.. awkward uhhhh... co-workers? That's the closest thing I could find that embodies what I mean. There are some disagreements occasionally between what someone wants and what someone else wants and they have to resolve that privately. Sometimes their resolution affects humans. I wouldn't know, I don't interact with a lot of them. Our relationships are hard to explain"

Oh- yeah the Egg by kurzgesgast is actually very accurate to what he was saying, we just watched it. Well except the you're everyone. Everyone is simply a vessel for consciousness and so while you can shift as them, the vessels stay separate. You can be everyone but you're not everyone in one place basically

He doesnt communicate more than he needs to. He says its awkward but doesnt want to explain past that. He can but he doesn't communicate with them all that much and most of them don't try it either

Thank you for answering again! And sorry for posting late 😅 Your ask got kinda buried under a bunch of other stuff. I hope the other anon sees this!

Hi, I wanted to ask since you seem to know what you're doing. I'm not confident in my pendulum skills as I feel like it only tells me what I want to hear and I don't have tarot cards. I was wondering if you knew I'd there was a more definitive, trustworthy way of asking yes or no questions?

I want to communicate with my guides and ask them things but I really don't have a reliable way of asking, any help would be appreciated.

hii!!! i usually cleanse my pendulum with incense before using it to clear it from any negative energies, and before asking it questions i call upon my spirit guides and higher self with the intention "i call upon my spiritual team and higher self only, for the highest good of all, please come through and help me find the truth" and then i keep my pendulum steady with my dominant hand, and holding it a few centimeters away from my other palm, i start asking questions i already know like "are my eyes black? is my hair blue? am i wearing red?" just to calibrate it and see if it gives me the right answers, then I start asking the real questions and voilà, the job is done 🕊️

Perhaps I'm too ignorant or just curious, but can I ask you without any of being offensive towards your believes, why would their soulmates need protections and for what? And why you? Can't the family, friends or even their soulmates in life do that job by protecting them? Can't they protect themselves without the needs of somebody else? Because if I think of your propose, then what about us? Do humans need absolutely a protection from someone? Can't we protect ourselves?

I would like to answer your question, with a counter question; Do we as humans come into this world with all the knowledge we need? Or must we go through life learning these things? We aren't born with the ability to know how to protect ourselves spiritually, how to release energy, who is or isn't our soul family and soulmates. These are things you have to learn, and what is the way that people learn? Through experience, research and teachers. If the soulmates do not have anyone spiritual in their life, people who aren't into the occult, how would they learn all of the things they need to learn? How is me spreading information to others about spiritual topics, educating people along the way, not helpful? The earth is a prison planet, this is where a lot of negative entities go. We all need protection, that is why I push the idea of protection so hard.

Use these links to learn about negative entities and protect yourself from them. Speak to spiritual professionals like a witch, a priest/priestess, or a guru and educate yourself on negative energies, what they are, how to spot them, and how to get rid of them.

SHIFTING & MANIFESTATION ⌵

⟡┊“can i manifest without shifting to another reality?

yes, it’s up to you. if you don’t want to shift, you don’t have to, no matter what your manifestation is, shifting is not necessary.

⟡┊“i’m scared of shifting while manifesting”

there’s nothing to be scared of, this is your reality, your rules.

VOID STATE ⌵

⟡┊“is the void necessary in order to manifest my desires?”

no, you don’t need the void at all, all you need is yourself.

⟡┊“how do we tap into the void?”

❝To accomplish this seemingly impossible feat you take your attention away from your problem and place it upon just being. You say silently but feelingly, "I AM." Do not condition this awareness but continue declaring quietly, "I AM - I AM." Simply feel that you are faceless and formless and continue doing so until you feel yourself floating.❞ - Neville Goddard.

STATES ⌵

⟡┊“how do we get into a state?”

you shift your awareness to your desire(s) like “i have my desired body” and you imagine yourself IN that state of consciousness, would you be looking around, checking in the mirror, complaining about your body? no, right.

❝Don't condemn yourself for the state into which you have fallen. If you don't like it, move into another. Don't feel sorry for yourself, for if you do, you will make the state a habit and remain there for the rest of your days on earth. Instead, you can believe this doctrine and move out of any state.❞ - Neville Goddard

⟡┊”i don’t want to be in a state, what do i do?”

you’re always in a state, whether you like it or not!

 PEACE OF MIND

• state of being happy

• state of being sad

• state of being wealthy

• state of being poor

 PEACE OF MIND

AFFIRMING ⌵

⟡┊“Do i need to affirm 10,000 times in order to get my desire(s)?”

NO, NO, NO! you create the rules, it’s all up to you.

⟡┊“I’m tired of affirming, but i have to do it… if not i won’t get my desire(s)”

then… why are you doing it, you’ll get your desires even if you affirm once (depends on your assumptions)

DETACHMENT ⌵

⟡┊“do i need to detach from my manifestations, in order for them to come into fruition?”

nope, that’s a law of attraction thing, we’re talking about the law of assumption here.

LIVING IN THE END ⌵

⟡┊“How do i exactly live in the end?”

If you and your SP were together, would you be trying to manifest him? no.

If you were rich, would you be worrying about money? no.

FREE WILL ⌵

it’s your reality, nobody has free will; unless you want them to, you like someone? they like you back point, blank, period.

WITCHCRAFT ⌵

“manifestation is not witchcraft, witchcraft is manifestation.” — Sammy Ingram

TIME ⌵

time doesn’t exist, it was created by man, unless you believe it does.

METHODS/TECHNIQUES ⌵

they’re tools, that’s it. you give power to them, you’re the reason they work, and you’re also the reason why they don’t work.

3D & 4D ⌵

3D = your physical reality.

4D = your inner reality | your thoughts.

change your thoughts, persist → change your assumptions, persist → your desire manifests in the 3D | @starliet

the 3D only reflects the 4D

the 3D is malleable, therefore you can always change it.

┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈

YOU HAVE THE POWER! ⌵

this is your reality we’re talking about, everything revolves around you, there’s no such thing as ‘i can’t do it’ you’re the master, you have the power, you need to go within and find it. nothing is impossible for you, nothing is unreachable for you, you create, you destroy. you have the power in your hands, why not use it? it’s time for you to realize and accept the power you hold, you’re way too powerful to be sitting in bed contemplating your life, do masters do that? no, so stand up! get your desires, because…

in the end, it all comes down to something; YOU.

FINAL NOTES ⌵

this post will be updated with new information frequently, it’ll have new things added, depending on the information i keep finding, and about topics that people might want to know about, once again…
