So as you can see this sp thread was posted by @/diorsreturn_ on twitter, you should really check her out she's amazing. Sleep paralysis is an amazing and unique way to manifest and shift. I've always been a void person but I'm focusing on sp now. It's not for everyone but if you aren't afraid of being in sp (which you shouln't fear really) then try it out and follow her steps! As she said it's super easy and don't overcomplicate it. Just do it!<3
This can be applied to deities, entities, spirits, or just any other entity you work with. I like to call these contracts but they are more of just a general house-rule list that can help make you more comfortable in a spirit-working relationship or even to keep you safe. You need to feel safe and secure when working with any entity or spirit or it will not be a productive relationship and could do more harm than good. Most of these house rules can help with that.
Edit or adapt them as you will, these are just suggestions.
"no entity is allowed to follow me or watch me in the bathroom while showering, when naked, or when using the toilet" - this is a good boundary to have if you generally need your alone time lol
"No entity is allowed in my space without my and [trusted spirit/entity]'s express permission"
"no entity is allowed to trick me and send me tests that damage or interfere negatively with my mental, emotional, physical, psychological, or spiritual well-being"
"No entity is allowed to lie to me under any circumstances"
"No entity, spirit, or deity is allowed to touch me without my express permission"
"No bringing any friends into my space without my express permission"
"All entities who desire to enter my space must abide by my boundaries, rules, and this contract"
"All entities in my space must always uphold my highest good until my final breath"
"No entity is allowed to mess with my children, trick them, or interfere with them. If you are going to be around them, dull down your energy so to not startle my children"
"No entity, deity, or spirit is allowed to mess with or interfere with my pets or animals unless i give my express permission"
"No entity is allowed to mess with or interfere with my family without my express permission"
"No opening portals in my space under any circumstances"
I personally will take a pendulum or use clairaudience to ask my spirit guides, deities, etc if they agree to the terms and conditions of the house rules and then like, sign their name at the bottom of the paper i write it all down on. If a spirit or entity says "no", then it may just be one of the rules they don't agree with. Take a minute and ask them why they don't agree with it and then maybe edit it to be more agreeable to both you and the entity in question.
Do you have any book recommendations to learn more about roman paganism and roman festivals? I'm interestes as a neo-pagan witch expanding and changing their craft. This is where my inspiration led me but I struggle to find sources.
Roman books and writings, mostly. That's the most authentic you can get with Roman polytheism & festivals. No one knows their own religion better than the people who practiced it but you have to vibecheck them for political agenda because a lot of these writers lived under tyrannical rule.
Cicero, Livy, Varro, Virgil (with caution), Ovid (double checking), Plautus, Horace, Tibullus, etc. I recommend looking through NovaRoma, Perseus.edu, or Penelope.edu for original Latin texts. Latin Library works too but it usually doesn't have translations.
Some books that aren't Ancient but have decent information:
A Dictionary of Greek and Roman biography and mythology
Roman religion in Livy
Malevolent Gods and Promethean Birds: Contesting Augury in Augustus's Rome
Omens and Augury in Plautus
A Dictionary of Greek and Roman Antiquities
The Roman Festivals of the Period of the Republic
A Companion to Families in the Greek and Roman Worlds
I have PDFs/links to all of these sources, so if you can't find something, just ask me.
Hope it helped!
The Art of Astragalomancy
Derived from the Ancient Greek words for knucklebones and talus bones, “astragalus” and “astragali,” and the suffix for divination or magic, “mancy.”
This form of Cleromancy— divination through casting quadruped bones or dice, has been recorded throughout history in several areas of the world. It is even suggested by researchers that the practice stretches farther back before record as well.
It’s been estimated that the rediscovered astragali near altars or funeral locations in Greece, Mediterranean, and Near East countries, dated back to pre-500 BCE.
Although the earliest documentation of dice was from the Egyptian game of Senet, played before 3000 BCE and up to 2nd century CE. Games involving dice has also been recorded in ancient Indian texts such as the Mahābhārata from 3rd century BCE to 3rd century CE.
Moreover, the Shona people of Southern Africa performed divination with Hakata, also known as carved wood or bone dice.
Traditionally, sheep and goat knucklebones would be marked with letters or numbers. These markings would then become associated with specific meanings that would hold the answers to the querent or diviner’s questions. Through a random sequence, a prediction can be made through interpretation— stringing them together as a sentence.
Astragalomancy is certainly not a thing of the past. In our modern day, the 14th Dalai Lama has been known to consult the Mo, a dice divination method based on Buddhist philosophy and Tibetan shaman traditions!

How to read the Common Dice
⚀⚁⚂⚃⚄⚅
As we all know, modern game or divination knucklebones and dice are made out of plastic, metal, and even crystals. The common die is quadruped and known as the d6, as it has 6 sides.
You will need 3 of these die in order to perform the most commonly used method of dice divination— originating from a traditionally Ancient Tibetan technique. A circle is first needed to be drawn on a paper or ground unless a divination mat with a pre-drawn circle has already been purchased. Ask the (open-ended) question, cast the dice, and you will be answered.
Pay attention to the position of the dice. You will have to examine if any fell outside of the circle. Interpret as written below:
1 Die outside - Obstacles or difficulties may lie ahead in the near future… things will not go as planned (Maybe)
2 Dice outside - Quarrels or disagreements are likely in regards to this situation… (No)
3 Dice outside - Luck, fortune and success! You’ll be fine, so no further reading is needed… (Yes)
The dice that falls within the circle will reveal a message based on the sum:
0, 1, 2) Sorry, no answer for the querent. They will have to try again some other day.
3) The querent will experience change in certain circumstances within their life soon.
4) There will likely be arguments or unpleasantries in a future exchange or regarding situation due to a misunderstanding.
5) An unforeseen revelation or obtainment in knowledge will come, helping the querent fulfill their desired manifestations.
6) Be wary of loss of any kind; financial, relationship, material items, etc.
7) Someone is possibly being cunning and causing setbacks. Otherwise, the querent will have general hardships or obstacles in the near future, but they should not fret, as it will be remedied in due time.
8) Stop! The querent shouldn’t act impulsively, as it may lead to trouble or undesirable results. Be patient and practical about this situation. Possible injustice or external factors are in the way as well.
9) May be a sign of rekindling or forgiveness in the matters of the heart. The querent may find themselves in a potential romantic or business union in the near future. Success in these areas are likely.
10) New beginnings in family life, career path or community are soon to come! This can refer to a birth of project, promotion or literal baby.
11) There may be a potential loss of a person in the querent’s life, short term illness… Or the return of a person who was estranged from them.
12) A very important message is to come, and the querent may need to seek guidance if it refers to legal matters. Alternatively, this may rather refer to a large sum of money coming into the querent’s life soon.
13) The querent may need to redirect their path, as continuing may lead them to more obstacles or disappointments.
14) There will be a friend or family member who will offer assistance. Alternatively, this result may suggest a new romance arriving soon.
15) The querent will need to proceed with caution and avoid starting new ventures for the next week. Try not to be drawn into gossip or temptations.
16) There will be time to relax through a short trip, entertainment, and/or emotions of relief through money coming in for the querent.
17) A change of perspective and/or adjustment in one’s plans may be needed. The querent should be receptive to the advice and council of others, whether they know them or not.
18) There is luck, success and blessings on the way! The querent will feel completion or fulfilment after a long journey.
*Note: The Tibetans believe that 2 dice falling on top of the other while throwing, suggests that the querent will receive a gift in the near future. They will also need to re-throw the dice for their reading.
**It is also believed that a die falling on the floor after performing the reading on a tabletop, signifies losing a close friendship.
***If you own DnD dice, you may find divination resources online that interpret the meanings of higher numbers.
****Some people may additionally associate the numbers to numerology interpretations to provide more insight!

Just pick a god, make an offering, and start praying. It's not that big a deal.
The people of ancient times who worshipped these gods from cradle to grave didn't wait around for them to reach out first, that's for historically sure.

Taken from my BOS, inspired by a viral tiktok, adapted to my own practice
In Mesoamerican culture, mirrors were seen as portals. Some say that these portals are from one dimension to another, and others say it is a portal to the realm of the dead. This is why many witches suggest covering your mirrors at night or if they are facing your bed. However, some may want to have the full convenience of not covering their mirrors at all, during any time of day. This is where locking mirrors comes in. Not only is it convenient, but it adds another layer of protection to your home. Wards mean nothing if you have an open portal to the dead in your bathroom.
How to lock a mirror:
Gather full moon water, florida water, or another protective liquid that won’t leave a stain on the mirror.
Wash (physically clean) and cleanse (spiritually clean) your hands. You can do this by running them under water or passing them through incense smoke.
Dip your fingers into the moon water, or whatever liquid you are using, and draw a pentacle or protective sigil on the mirror. Imagine the mirror closing (you can visualize this as a light behind the mirror fading, or metal bars locking in front of the mirror--whatever your mind’s eye sees the portal as).
Let the water on the mirror air-dry on its own.
I like the idea of soulmates but it fails to make sense to me. Yeah in first place to be born and be able to think and be aware of everthing is without official purpose too. Like to this day nobody can tell you really what the purpose of life is. So why should soulmates make ense or have a clear answer to them. But then also why are we being reincarnated, if you are into astrology you will come across the theme of things you learned in past lives and things you have to learn now but why? (1/~)
When will you be stopped reincarnated? Or does it stop only when a certain karmic debt is paid while you everytime get a new side quest. What role can the soulmate play when we are not always promised to meet them in every lifetime? If we can go a whole life without meeting them are they even important? (2/2)
that’s a run through several schools of thought:
the purpose of life is experiencing. (neale donald walsch)
humans reincarnate because our driving force of remaining desire cannot exist in a vacuum after death. hence you escape samsara = the cyle through liberation from the suffering that comes with attachments. meaning, it leaves no unfinished business that would require another life. (theravada buddism)
among others, you can attain said enlightenment aka moksha through three ways. love of god = self, knowledge, or compassionate deeds — bhaktiyoga, jnanayoga, karmayoga. (hinduism)
you may be in your last physical life if your sun or north node is in the 12th house, meaning you went through the entire circle. if your 7th house is empty, your shadow side is resolved, so it won’t attract. (astrology)
karmic debt is not important, it can’t influence you if you choose to. only thought and the now matters. meditation is the key. (zen buddhism)
the soulmate plays their own role in the first place, is important by themselves. they’re not born to be yours. in fact, they do what you do simply as a different reflection. they’re merely a choice of many available to you, not a fate since free will is always granted to us. they could be important but you decide against it by your belief or vibration. ironically, once you see them outside of being solely in relation to you and focus on you, that’s how they arrive. (new age)
being your own soulmate matters first, otherwise a soulmate won’t materialize and exist on the outside anyway. the establishing of harmony and order inside of oneself is all that’s needed to steer things. what other people do will follow naturally and in balance to that. (taoism)
- when shuffling, pay attention to the cards that fall out of the deck. sometimes they have a special message for you.
- questions aren't always necessary when reading. letting the cards tell you what they need to helps to develop your intuition, and the relationship between you and your deck (or the spirit you are working with, depending on how you divine information).
- when reading with multiple cards (i.e. as a spread), try and string the cards together rather than interpreting them by their individual meanings:
recurring suits, themes, symbols, and numbers
proportions of suits and uprights vs. reversals
position of the cards (e.g. if people are present in the cards, where are they looking?)
colours of the cards (e.g. do any of the cards stand out more than the rest?)
- although each card has a core meaning, different decks with different art could emanate different "flavours" of the core meaning.
- draw a clarifying card if something confuses you, but try not to draw any more than two cards per reading.
