when the world needed him most, he returned
Just had a vision of my death! After conferring with the Council (the voices in my head) we've concluded that I may be able to buy myself a couple extra years if I have a Tumblr, so here I am.
If I had a nickel for every time a Jedi with psychometric abilities fell in love with a nightsister I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
Star wars fans try not to fall for anti-radical pro-police propaganda challenge level impossible
What is with this fandom being willing to find (and make) every reason under the sun to absolve Fox of literally shooting Fives dead but still insisting on blaming Saw for Tech's death?!?
"Anakin was manipulated by palpatine" "palpatine groomed Anakin to become his apprentice" do u ever think about how palpatine came from a planet with a history of young queens who were democratically elected, got his own massive political power with help from his sith master and not by his own merit, then took advantage of padme to achieve greater power bc he knew she'd do anything to save Naboo from the crisis he initiated?
Like obvs there's a lot of things that make palps a Bad Guy, but I just feel like crimes against Naboo, Naboo's culture and history, and padme in particular are too often overlooked. Padme was not naive, she just didn't expect the man who represented the interests of her whole planet (and 35 other planets also btw) to have organized an invasion of their shared home world. Justice for my girl
big fan of padmé traits that people like to dismiss as inconsistencies or writing flaws or reasons to dislike her. love how she’s idealistic to a fault. love her moral inconsistencies. love her staunch refusal to not see the best in those she loves. i find it much more fun to engage with these aspects of her than decry them as making no sense
Just discussed Star Wars with a friend who has never watched the German dub, but since we were speaking German they didn't want to switch languages so they just very confidently called Sidious "Kaiser Palpatine"
see at some point post-ROTJ luke's gonna have to fill the droids in on the whole Situation and then this must have happened
Threepio: *full-on gibbering breakdown*
Artoo: *unfazed beeping*
Threepio, cutting off mid gibbering breakdown: you knew?
Artoo: *continued beeping*
Threepio: what do you mean, you were there?
Luke: wait what
Artoo, rolling away to go do droid things:
Luke: Artoo get back here right now
Artoo: *innocent whistling*
Luke: Artoo??
I used to be haunted by demons but now I have train pattern bedsheets
Sorry not sorry to make this about star wars, but this is exactly where I think star wars fails with Padme! The way she never shows up, is barely mentioned after her death, despite how much she affected the galaxy, both positively and negatively! They treat her like she only haunts Vader and maybe obi-wan, and that's not true. She haunts the narrative, and that's a whole different thing. We should clearly see the ghost of her legacy in every damn movie, but instead I just get glimpses so vague I wonder if I'm imagining it...
I love how Suguru is like the queen of haunting the narrative. His relationship to Satoru affects and directs him constantly. Jujutsu high's failure of him affects every single character from Yaga and Shoko to second years. Not to mention his literal dead body being taken over to shape the narrative.
It's amazing how he's dead from beginning to the end and is still present every moment of the story.
he consumes my every waking thought and most of the sleeping ones too
