Do you think once, after Lilly had first died and Cole hadn’t been sent to his school yet, that Lou accidentally called Cole ‘Lilly’ and Cole thought that she was back, she was there and here with them and when he glanced around to see her he realised that his father was looking at him in guilt? Do you think ever since then, before Cole found peace within himself, he looked at the mirror and only saw his mother? His mother’s face, her smile and kind eyes, reflected on his own?
