I've seen a lot of fics disappear from my bookmarks, some 10+ years old, because they were added to an unrevealed collection. It makes me wonder if people realize what your fic being added to a collection actually means and if the authors approved it automatically without realizing what would happen.
If someone adds your fic to their collection, they can hide it! They can mark the collection as unrevealed and your fic will be unreadable to anyone other than them! If you're writing works for a surprise event, like a Secret Santa, this is really nice.
But if you're just writing and someone adds your fic to a collection for their own personal use and marks it as unrevealed, that. . . really sucks.
I bookmarked this fic in 2017, almost 5 years ago. Knowing me, the fic itself was probably at least a couple years old at the time I bookmarked it.
This is a 5+ year old fic that is completely inaccessible now because it was added to a collection that, as far as I can tell, is literally just for the collection owner's own reference. There's almost 30 fics in the collection, all of them unrevealed.
Please don't blindly accept collection requests and if your works ARE in a collection, make sure that they aren't being hidden without your knowledge or consent.
ok
Headcanon that the wizard Shazam likes trashy reality TV shows cause what else is he gonna do when sitting around at the Rock of Eternity all day and night as a ghost
see it’s funny because those ‘what if jason or tim were actually biologically related to cass’ AUs are the type of silly fandom cooking that i actually enjoy it’s just i can’t enjoy it in This fandom because every single one of those is just a way to interject tim or jason into cass’s backstory to give them more whumpies and they never like. actually care about cass as a character
“But if you forget to reblog Madame Zeroni, you and your family will be cursed for always and eternity.”
I'm so glad I live in a world where there's Archive of Our Own
I’d read that
so i was thinking about how bruce and ollie have the reputations of being the most dad-guys of the jla (although technically clark might have more than ollie depending on how you cut it) and i was thinking about doing of fic of them arguing over who should get custody of billy before roy decides fuck this and sweeps him up while they're distracted
Cass would be the absolute worst person to swap scar stories with like imagine the batkids hanging out and comparing old bullet wounds. A few jokes about dying, a few brags about situations that were terrifying at the time but they survived so they get to turn it into a cool story now. And just when Damian is finishing up dragging Jason for shooting him that one time Cass finally chimes in, pointing to a scar on her shoulder.
"This one's from my dad when I was around 5. I was fighting twenty mercinaries but it was getting too easy so he shot me to teach me to always be on guard."
One long awkward silence commences. The mood of the room is officially lowered right down from light to somber. No one knows how to fix this until Cass speaks up again, this time pointing to a scar on her chest.
"This one's from when Tim and I faked my death."
And now everyone is both sad and extremely confused. Except for Tim who will thankfully take over and steer the conversation onto a lighter topic: Faking each other's murder, his and Cass's favourite sibling bonding activity
She/HerAutistic, queer, and (according to all the unfinished fics in my docs) an aspiring fanfic author!
