i can’t tell if dick grayson or jason todd are a more accurate depiction of the female experience and it’s driving me mad
but what if i read one of your fanfics and then went to your ao3 accounts and read all of your fanfics and left a comment on every single chapter of every single one and you got spam emails from all of my kudos and comments and it made you smile, what then? what if i brighten your day with my words like you did mine, what then???
You just know Stephanie is every supervillain in Gotham's least favorite Bat to fight. Half because she never shuts the hell up and half because every last one of them went through a phase of assuming she was the least threatening of the Bats until they actually went up against her and took a sledgehammer to the kneecaps. Whenever new blood turns up to Gotham looking to make a name for themselves the veteran rogues give them the same orientation speech. Do not let the wisecracking fool you, the blonde one is fucking crazy.
For @casscainweek Day 3 (Jan. 22): Silence | Music
Cassandra did not live in a silent world when David was training. There were many sounds, fists against flesh, gunshots and blades being drawn and wielded.
It was a world she was used to. David never said he was proud, but Cassandra knew he was.
Now, she chooses not to think much about him. He had granted her these skills, but that was all he had given her beyond pain.
The world was louder now, she had to learn what voices were, what type of sound the voices were and what that meant. It was hard. Very hard. And it infuriated her. She wasn’t trained for this.
But, there was one sound she liked. Something that Barbara had given. She named them headphones. They faíce fed her ears and played a soothing tune of gentle… piano, yes.
It was easy to understand. The music was simple, she could close her eyes and focus on it. Barbara wasn’t always understanding, not knowing Cass was trying, and she wasn’t like her.
But this music was nice.
It was nice to have sounds she understood.

I hope this is good. I love Cass so much.
People will hate me for saying that Steph is probably in the top 5 fighters for the Bat-Fam, but she went up against not only Cass and survived but also a literal student of Lady Shiva, lmfao.
Like I feel like people severely underestimate how good she is as fighting.
For so much of their early relationship whenever Barbara is insensitive to her Cass generally responds by playing it off as if it doesn't bother her to spare Barbara's feelings. She knows Babs only means well and she's a big girl, she's willing to just let it roll right off her and try to see the best in it.
It really is this one outburst that changed things between them. It was the watershed moment that, for Cass at least, made it very clear how Barbara really felt about her.
I think this is the moment that made Cass realize it wasn't just words and it wasn't just misguided. Barbara really does on some level see her as lesser because of the way she is. She can't just shrug off the hurtful things Barbara says about her anymore because now Cass knows that she means them and that makes them cut right down to the bone.
Their relationship can never be the same again after that. Barbara to her credit tries so hard and eventually things get better between them but that damage is already done and now it will always be there.
I am so hurt by them.
Another list let’s goooo!!!
Things I think Captain Marvel has let slip in conversation unprompted that have concerned others.
“When I was a kid I threw a brick at a cop car” (by kid he means yesterday)
“You act like my uncle after a beer”
“This reminds me of the time somebody tried to run me over with their car back when I was a kid!” (Again, by kid he means yesterday)
“My sister is basically legally dead.”
“I’ve eaten rat meat before!”
“Have you ever been chased out of a store with a broom cause somebody thought you stole a gift card? No? Yeah, me neither.”
“I fight a lot of nazis.”
“Sometimes the gods in my head tell me to kill somebody to set an example :(“
“Mary Marvel got angry at Junior again and she threw him into the sun. He’s fine... I think.”
“There’s this green worm that tries to crawl into people’s ears and mind control them.”
“I found a baby in a dumpster once!”
“I don’t think I have organs.”
Cass, coming back from her fight to the “death” with Shiva: “I lived bitch, and so did Shiva”
Babs: “I’m so happy you’re alive! but we really gotta unpack that later…”
So we've had "skill issue," we've had "lock in," we've had "where we droppin' boys" but I put forward that if there's any one piece of borrowed internet slang Cass would get constant use out of in her day to day crimefighting career it would be "I lived bitch."
I feel like when things are quiet in Gotham and the only threat is normal criminals, Cass would have no issue blasting music on patrol just for fun. No one knows what to make of it, Bruce isn't sure if it's an effective crime fighting tactic or not but it sure is Something.
You are random Gotham mugger 745 trying to steal from a woman on her way home from work and you suddenly hear Chappell Roan's Good Luck Babe growing ominously louder until you're suddenly knocked out too fast to recognise who it is. You end up at the police station with five other guys who've experienced something similar. One says they heard Mitski's My Love Mine All Mine playing. Another heard wish you were gay by Billie Eilish. Is there a lesbian ghost haunting Gotham? What the hell is going on?
Elsewhere on a completely unrelated note Barbara is having a long discussion with Cass on first loves and realising you're gay. Chappell Roan and girl in red will be haunting Gotham criminals for a solid month before she finally works up the courage to actually Talk to Steph about how she's feeling, at which point the lesbian ghost who knocks criminals unconscious will have developed into a Gotham meme and become an urban legend. Believers will say it's a new god here to protect sapphic women. Skeptics will tell you it's probably just Poison Ivy.
Steph: You ever think about how Cass could be in this very room watching us at any moment and we would never know? Tim: Well I'm thinking about it now. Thanks. Damian: I would know. Cass: No you wouldn't.
