So I keep seeing people saying that Techno was used as a weapon. Wasn't it Techno who offered to help Pogtopia in the first place.

It was!

That’s the thing. People keep bringing up how Techno was used as a weapon, as if he was a victim here.

And maybe he is to an extent. Maybe people seeing you as this scary intimidating figure can be upsetting. Maybe it can lead to a lot of depersonalizing. Maybe it’s not ideal.

However Techno was the one who offered to help. And he offered to help in a professional capacity. I’m sure Tommy was thrilled to have his other big brother on the team, i’m sure he would have been thrilled to treat Techno the same as he treated Wilbur- honestly he kinda did for a while- however Techno very quickly made it clear he was here to be a weapon and nothing more.

He held no loyalties, no personal attachments, he didn’t care about them. Techno made that so very apparent. That he was here to be extra muscle and nothing more. And I don’t see why this is so often brought up as if the other people in Pogtopia were wronging him when they were thrown off by his obvious detachment from them.

How to tell if a video is a screamer

halloween is fast approaching, and sending screamers has become an increasingly popular trend over the past few years. while some people may enjoy them, they can also trigger anxiety attacks in others.

check the section/category of a video. if it’s under “comedy”, “prank”, “horror”, or something similar, close the tab immediately.

comments are also a giveaway. scroll to the comments section before playing a video. if comments are disabled, there’s a likely chance the video is a screamer. close the tab right away. if you see comments like “whoa, that made me jump!”, close the window! and if it’s impossible to disable comments, look for multiple comments deleted by the creator.

check out the video itself, while it’s paused. if it has very low music (this makes the audience want to turn the volume up, so the scream is louder and scarier), or if it has very small text (which makes you want to go into full screen), that’s a good indication that it’s a screamer. exit out and close the tab!

look at the content of the video. if the clip itself deals with the scary or supernatural, like a film about ghosts, you can’t be certain. be careful, and exit the tab if the content seems triggering. pause the video and forward all the way to the end. If everything is good feel free to watch. if a frame with a scary picture comes up, close the tab immediately.

if the video shows a room or picture, and invites you to “find what’s wrong in the picture”, or “find _____”, close the window immediately! 

there’s a new trend going on where videos describing people reacting to screamers are actually screamers themselves. if you suspect this, scroll down and see the comments. if the maker of the video disabled comments to purposely lead viewers to believe the video is genuine, scroll down just enough to see the video time, so you don’t see the video itself. Turn the volume down, just in case it is a screamer, and if the video plays out and there’s no scream, it’s safe to watch.

check the time on the video. if it’s suspiciously short, exit the tab.

look at the related or recommended videos. if any of them fit the above, the video is a screamer.

So, within the roleplay of the Dream Smp, Dream is around the same age as Fundy, right? And Tommy and Tubbo are still acknowledged as being younger than Fundy and Dream, right?

Fundy is meant to be like 20 current day and Tommy and Tubbo are 16 current day in the roleplay. The war started when Fundy was 14-15, Dream in roleplay current day is meant to be his irl age (21) I think, so Fundy was 14-15 at the start of the first war, Dream was 15-16, and Tommy and Tubbo were….and this is the worst one…10 or 11

9/11 was a tragedy. everyone knows and sees that. just because i am muslim does not mean that i am going to justify 9/11. whatever bin laden’s motivation was, he did a disgusting thing and killed thousands of innocent people

just because 9/11 was an attack by someone who calls themselves muslims doesnt make all muslims terrorists. i cannot believe this is a sentence i have to type, but here i am. muslims - true muslims - do not condone violence. against anyone. i can go into all the details and the what-ifs and everything, but i dont have the energy for that. just know that violence is strictly frowned upon (note: this does not include self-defense. if somebody is attacking you and you are unable to get away, then fight back. again, there’s no debate on that).

check up on any muslims you know. your friends, neighbours, coworkers, acquaintances, even people you don’t like all that much. we are incredibly stressed out, especially if we live in a western country. just a quick text to see if they’re okay tomorrow will mean a lot

do not think that because you don’t live in america, you’re exempt from this. any western country has this problem, even if you live in a relatively okay area. i do. my friend (who lives in the same area as me) went to walmart and had a hijab on. she was nearly run over (intentionally, the guy was glaring at her and her mother the entire time) while trying to get to the store. she only realized when she got home that it was 9/11. i live in a safe area of canada. this should not be happening. but it is.

Tumblr users are often so arrogant and it shows. They can draw a full cast of POC characters but when POC say "Hey we want more than just our skin tone" they're suddenly deaf as shit.

Representation on Tumblr has become a way for white people to win brownie points just because they took a Hershey's bar and slapped it onto a person's skin tone.

The most disgusting thing is that they insist on making JUST African-Americans. They insist on making JUST one facial type, one nose type, one lip type, one hair type, one slang type, one skin tone.

And when they make a person Asian, it's Japanese. And when they make a person Hispanic, it's Mexican. And when they make a person indigenous, they never specify on which tribe/nation they came from, but you'll bet they're Native AMERICAN.

But my favorite part is when other POC demand representation and those same fucking white people are like "But but but look at all my black characters!!!!"

POC isn't just confined to America.

POC isn't just black.

POC isn't just Japanese.

POC isn't just Mexican.

POC isn't just Native American.

It's from the Miskitu in Nicaragua, from the highlands of Ethiopia, from the deserts of Saudi Arabia, from the mountains of Indonesia. It's from the arroz con gandules, from the folk music, from the festivals. It's many cultures blending, it's speaking more than just English, it's dealing with racism unique to our countries of origin.

It's more than just one universal experience, and white Tumblr isn't willing to show that.
