‘how do i get to know you better?’

We have one last chance to save democracy.
The No Kings Act was proposed recently. Your senators can vote in favor of this amendment to prosecute Trump and any future presidents. You just need to email your senators explaining why this bill is something that EVERYONE, including them, needs. They are not above the law. The Supreme Court betrayed us and the Constitution. Please.

I am making this post for Dina and Ahmed Alanqar's family in Gaza @anqarfamily. They have four young children: Zeina, Eileen, Yamen, and their littlest daughter Sawsan, born just this past June. They have been multiply displaced at this point, with their homes and workplaces destroyed by Zionist bombs, and have been facing the difficulties of a scarcity and/or lack of work, schools, healthcare, food, water, and medicine, along with the everpresent threat of disease, ever since.
This fundraiser's objective is to provide them with sufficient funds so that when the opportunity arrives, they will be able to leave Gaza. Please, if you are able, donate! And regardless of your situation, make sure to share this post! I would like to see the notes on this eclipse the number of votes on the poll, unlike an unfortunately high quantity of other posts like this one, and for Dina and Ahmed to receive as many donations as possible!
This is a vetted fundraiser, listed as #264 on this speadsheet of verified fundraisers created by @/nabulsi and @/el-shab-hussein.
They are close to their goal, let's help them reach it!
Please block gaza-scam-alerts. The account is not a real scam busting blog, they are sharing posts that accuse all Palestinian gfms of being scams if you take a glance. Don’t harass/etc. Just block.
Don’t trust any ‘scam alerts’ they might make.
one consequence of transmisogyny (but not unique to it) is that it makes you into a paranoiac. take the example of the "degendering they" or like the "backhanded compliment," relatively minor interpersonal interactions that trans women increasingly feel hypervigilant about. it's probably counterproductive to assume everyone who gives you a compliment or refers to you as "they" or "this person" (<- phrase that actually revolts me a little now in this context) is doing so condescendingly, in a malicious or even just incidentally diminishing way. but also, everything about your life as a trans woman encourages you to be on alert for these kinds of cues, because if you're not paying attention to them then when the hammer drops it will hit that much harder.
