Look at his fucking suit bro.
DO YOU SEE THAT?????!
DO YOU FUCKING SEE THAT???!
MILES FUCKING COPIED THE “fly ambiance down the side” FROM AARON’S SUIT. DO YOU FUCKING GET IT???! DO YOU UNDERSTAND.
“It looks like your bleeding from your armpits.” Count your fucking days Peter.
everyone but miles knew about the nature of the facility: don’t interfere with canon events, don’t mess with the timeline, contain anomalies. gwen and peter b convinced miguel to give miles a chance to come around before containing (and probably killing) him like he clearly wanted to, but bc of hobie’s history with authority and his current feelings on miguel, he knew it wouldn’t work. so, he tried to convince miles to back out, to run away, to not interact with him. bc there’s NO way hobie heard of a spider-man who’s breaking the universe and wasn’t going to meet him somehow.
hobie saw this boy and immediately went “oh fuck i gotta get him out of here” but every attempt was thwarted by miles’ eagerness to be a part of something
miles decided to pursue science instead of art for the sole purpose of getting back to his friends, his loved ones, the only people he could be himself with. he was willing to sacrifice his future just to see them again. and then he finds out peter b and gwen, two of the people he fought life and death with, could have seen him any time and just didn’t.
and then there’s hobie. hobie meets him once, probably hearing a lot about him from gwen but still only once, for less than a day. and instantly, he’s doing more for miles than peter or gwen were even thinking of doing. hobie is making him a backup plan, teaching him to be stronger, slowly implanting doubt and ideas, calling gwen out on her lies without being direct because he knows miles would never believe him if he said it. he’s working in the open shadows to help miles before they’re even really friends
when everything goes to shit, hobie gives gwen a second chance. he only made one extra watch, after all, as far as we know. he lets gwen choose to rebel, just like he didn’t force miles but encouraged him, and he joins the fight to help get miles to safety.
hobie is the best fucking character in this movie don’t chat to me
Young Sean: Did Arthur say he'd take us hiking?
John: No. But we can work our way around him. Hosea taught me some tricks. Now, we take our hats off, ruffle our hair a bit. Now I'm gonna need you to gimmie some tears.
Sean: *fake cries*
John: Not too much! That's enough. Okay, now follow my lead.
Arthur: What do you two idiots want now?
John, teary eyed: Why do you never spend time with us?
Arthur: What?! I'm always spending time with you!
Sean, sniffling: It's like you don't even love us!
Arthur: You better be joking.
John: How can you not love your own baby brothers?!
Arthur: Ugh! Fine! I'll take you hiking! Just please stop!
John and Sean: Hooray!
Arthur, to himself: Okay, that was impressive.
I will always find it so funny that apparently according to Gortash, Bane approves of the alliance between him and Durge. Like Bhaal is losing his mind over it, whispering murderous thoughts to his chosen, being like “no, you will rule alone, we will betray him in the end, kill him!”
And Bane is just like, “Heheh :) they’re talking :) Gonna smush them together like dolls :)”
(I imagine Bane was just like “AYOOO????”)
Meanwhile Durge is just busy thinking about their girlfriend who just spit in Shar’s face.
THIS!!! /THIIIIIS/
We’ve all heard the “Scout gets too much attention” rants in the fandom but I also want to say: Scout gets too much hate.
Like, he’s decidedly NOT a coward. I have no idea where people get that from. His entire backstory is that he got fast to that he could run into danger before the fight ended. He’s got voice lines pleading for his life, but every character has voice lines where they’re weak or losing.
He’s also not that annoying to anyone but Spy (besides the people he’s killing). I’m easier on this though because it comes from gameplay habits.
Also, Scout is strong. certainly not as much as the rest of the team, but he’s quick, acrobatic, and whip smart about surroundings. He did single handedly take on a Heavy. Sure, it was his meet-the and everyone is overpowered but still. He puts up a fight. (My favorite subversive moment of the ‘scout gets wreaked by everyone automatically’ is in Mann Swap where we see him use his skillset to match with heavy’s strength.)
It’s hilarious to punch the punching bag, ofc. But Scout is my least favorite of the main nine and it still kills me to see him in “serious” tf2 fan media with only his joke traits.
Anyways for Father's Day I wanted to bring up a dynamic I think is incredibly underrated: Heavy and Scout with a found family dynamic.
Yeah yeah we all like DadSpy and it's cute and everything but listen to me when I say that this dynamic is so good. Both of them lost their father in one way or another. Scout never met his and Heavy's father was killed. Heavy had to grow up fast and be the guardian figure for his family once his father passed on. Scout was always seen as the runt of his family, the little brother who always picked fights and would run away as soon as it happened. Both ends of the spectrum.
I like to think that they kind of crave that sort of stable family dynamic. You could interpret it in any sort of way (father/son, brothers, anything), but I just think they work well off of each other and would like the company.
something something the poetry of science etc
He just wanted to use the computer, guy, you have a freaking room.
I so wish I could do this. I finally understood why exactly someone would want having teleportation powers.
For @disgruntled-twig! Me from a few months ago decided they were gonna have the sketches of this lying around and I guess me now decided you were an efficient excuse to post it XD
random post about some of my version of the BLU mercs!!
I haven’t drawn all of them yet so while I find motivation to do that, take these!!!
