Shortgrass (scale Accurate)

I wanted to try drawing without outlines, and I’m not sure how I feel about the final result, but I blame that on the fact that halfway through my pencil broke on me and I had to draw the rest with my finger, which was pain and suffering. Anyway, here it is (fanart of Grian)

His hands are in his pockets because I felt lazy, alright? You try to draw hands with no outline with your finger! Anyway, um, yeah. (Real eloquent there, Ian)

(You’ll notice the very interesting choice of eye color. I wanted to include a little watcher thingy, but not something super obvious. Subtly was never my thing, but I gave it a try. How’d I do?)

if you are drawing Etho slab fanart, chances are you know that his skin is based of kakashi, and I think we see that reflected. Like, we know that’s meant to be a mask, and that gray on his head band is piece of metal and not more hair, and that’s meant to be sandals, and that’s meant to be vest with pockets. So that’s how we draw it. But what if it wasn’t? I just had this fun idea so I grabbed a reference for his actual Minecraft skin and just. Pretended I had no idea who kakashi was. How would I draw him? How might I interpret his outfit, his hair? Idk, just a silly doodle. Nothing revolutionary. I’d love to see other people try this idea for Etho or any other mycts that you love. To just. Pretend you don’t know what everything is meant to be and see how you might interpret their Minecraft skin.

The Great HC-TCG Tournament Finale of Season 9

An slight in-depth breakdown into some of the design decisions when translating Cub's TCG arena from minecraft to proper architecture for our composition!

Drawing the UI of all the screen would be one of the last things added to the bg. While most of the hermit profiles I did to follow Hoshi's designs, designs of other artists and hermits you can find throughout the zine.

Season 9 was my first exposure to Hermitcraft and to be able to see it through to the end not to mention be a part of a such a beautiful tribute to the season I am grateful. BIIIG honours to have worked on two fantastic pieces with Hoshi, huge shoutout to the other contributors, and many thanks to the mod team for making sure everything stays running ^_^

If I was a writer… (I literally sang that in my head to the tune of my favorite boat boys song lol) anyway thank you op for exploding my brain this will now be literally all I think about for the next ever.

Halloween drawing????

I’ve never played phasmophobia, but I’m fairly certain I would be terrible at it. Just can’t take a social cue to save my life, literally in this case. I’d probably spend the whole time hiding in the closet, which is just as well because I’ve got a lot of practice with that lol /silly.

Happy national hermit day! And national cat day! To celebrate, I drew a hermit who really loves his cats

Just something quick and sketchy. I’m trying out some new brushes to speed up the drawing process, and I think it looks alright. Pro tip: if the art isn’t arting cause you’re out of ideas, search up “what national holidays are today”. Better drawing prompt list than anything you’ll find googling what to draw, especially cause if you’re not seeing anything you like there are 364 other days to try.

this morning I started watching Agatha All Along, and you know what Halloween’s coming late this year! Rahhh!

They would walk the witches road with ease lol. This is just a silly doodle I did while I was watching. Honestly the main reason I drew it was because Down the Witches Road is catchy song

I am trying to teach myself to animate for two reasons. One; because I desperately want to and indie animation inspires awe in me and I hope to someday contribute to that genre, two; to prove that I can. I’m making it my goal to learn to animate with nothing but willpower, a seven dollar app (RoughAnimator if u are curious, I only got it today but so far I really like it!), and a bunch of YouTube tutorials. This is my first animation ever, and I’m already aware that it’s very scuffed, so plz be nice!! I’m still learning!!

Also the walk cycle diagram thingy isn’t mine I found it on google, I couldn’t find who actually made it but credit to them whoever they are.

This is just a sort of first go at messing around with the medium ft. a Grian design I have been figuring out. He’s all bundled up in his stupid hat (/aff I love that stupid hat lol) and everything because I made it for an au, but I want to try to adapt it at some point to be my design for c!grian. It’s meant to be a vaguely sun shaped birthmark type thing around his eye because idk I wanted to lol I want all the winners to have some sort of lasting scars or something to symbolize their win, mostly as an excuse for me to immortalize Joel torreto because I miss wild life </3.

Also I have so many thoughts about card symbolism. The guy whose entire gimmick sounded like a very unsubtle mafia family won the casino themed death games lol. Also I maybe want to do a piece that’s a sort of sequel piece to this one because in hearts (real card game btw) the queen of spades is the worst card to have unless you are trying to shoot the moon. Which. Double life symbolism stuff hahahah I’m really normal about well all of this really I love all the life series.
