I just think that they are all neat. Idk man it came to me in a dream or whatever. Also I was rewatching esmp season 1 this time from Jimmy’s pov so now he is a fish. To me. And also to a lot of other people but I’m now one of them. Anyway yea idk what happened to Joel lol he just looks off and I can’t figure out why. I think maybe his head is too small. Or too big. Anyway as soon as I figure out how to draw cars it’s all over for you guys I will project my very specific vision that is essentially a combination of danger days good omens and back to the future onto you all I have so many thoughts!!!!! I will elaborate in the future, I will elaborate so much that you will say “Ian, shut up with your elaborating” and also I have an au based on session seven planned because the superpowers happened to coincide with an overly complex magic system I’ve been developing for about five months now lol slowly in the background. Also maybe an animatic if I can figure that out maybe possibly don’t hold me to that…? At least I know no one will take the song I’m planning to use in the meantime lol because the MCR and trafficblr fandom overlap is fairly small.

to be honest, joel kind of expected it to be fancier; he’s a winner, after all- you’d probably want to have something nicer than a black void to bask in your glory. he thought- well, he’s not sure he had any specific thoughts about what it'd look like, but he guessed there'd be stuff like sofas and a snooker table or something—a party room, y’know? an endless void is a bit dull in comparison, especially considering the game he just won- although, anything would be dull in comparison to that game, wouldn’t it?

there's a collection of voices that is beginning to come into range, still too far away to make out anything distinct, but they seem to be arguing over something. as he walks (though- he’s not sure he is actually walking. he’s not sure he has a physical form anymore), he can make out a word or two, none of them sensical: something about a comet and jupiter? whatever that means. joel isn’t super sure he was meant to hear it- or even understand it; the words seem to be garbled and warped, and feel far too loud for his ears even as they begin to fade out.

joel keeps walking, because honestly he’s not really sure what else to do. did he miss something? was there actually a party room at the start that he walked past by accident? he probably should have asked more questions when grian and pearl talked about winning in limited and secret life, because he’s completely lost right now- both metaphorically and literally. where exactly is he?

more voices are slowly becoming audible, and joel braces himself until he realises that he recognises them—has he finally found the game room? they'd better have a snooker table, after all he’s been through to just find the stupid place. honestly, this was harder than winning in the first place- they should put up some signs or something.

joel doesn't have time to make this complaint aloud, because all of a sudden, something bowls into him- someone apparently, as they throw their arms around him. "you did it!" grian's voice laughs, sounding genuinely happy.

joel grins, hugging him back—which is weird, when you can’t see anything. maybe it's not a void, and he’s just blind for some reason. "I won!" he crows, pride bubbling up in his chest. "I didn’t think I would- it took me long enough!"

"congratulations, beans!" scar's voice comes from somewhere in front of him, cheery, considering the context. 

"thanks." joel pulls back and finds that his sight seems to have returned. 

the void still surrounds them, but weirder still, everyone seems to look identical to- oh. when they won. grian's hands and face are bloodstained, scott has a lightning scar across his face, pearl's hoodie is instead a singed scarlet cloak, martyn is all piratey and bloody, scar's ebony cloak is lined with poppies and lilacs, and cleo's joints have puppet strings trailing from them. 

joel glances down to see purple-tinted veins crawling up his hands and arms, and his stomach drops until he remembers that he’s already dead. "okay. weird."

"that'll be from the ender pearls." scott supplies. joel is honestly a little thankful that his creaking eyes have gone; they were creepy. "I- d'you know they’re already arguing?"

"well he’s less intuitive than us." grian shrugs, gesturing to joel as if that makes any sense at all. "they've been arguing since martyn."

cleo snorts. "they still haven't agreed on anything." they point upwards, and joel is very confused. "after you three, anyway."

"it stopped being as snappy once I came along though." martyn points out, and everyone but joel seems to understand what he's talking about. "sun, stars, moon- then what? we can’t do the whole solar system and every planet's moon."

scar laughs. "they were talking about- stages of grief or something by the time I won."

"yeah!" pearl points a finger at scar excitedly. "I overheard someone mention the seven deadly sins earlier. didn’t catch much, but you’re meant to be glutton." she elbows martyn, who scoffs indignantly. 

"sounds about right." cleo says, laughing as martyn makes a noise of protest that sounds very much like a squawk. 

joel blinks. "well, I have no idea what you guys are on about, but whatever I am it's a car." he folds his arms, in the hopes that no one is gonna try to argue with him, because he has absolutely no clue what he's signing up for. 

there's a pause. 

"a.. car?" scott frowns, apparently appalled by the concept—which joel finds hilarious and makes him want to be a car even more. 

"yeah." joel says confidently. "joel toretto- fast and furious, y’know?" 

grian cackles and pearl grins along. "sure- a car. i’m sure they'll all agree."

joel shrugs, still unsure about who 'they' are at all, but he appears to be signing himself up for something funny at least. "you never know. if they’re smart they'll pick a car."

Risi words defy this. There aren’t words in my vocabulary to express how insane this is. So instead I will yell aaaAAaaaaAaAaaaaaAaaAaaaAaAaaAaaaAAAAaaAaAaaaaAAAaAaaaaaaaaAAwaaaaaaaaaaAa!!!!!!!! Insane. It’s like a movie poster for the blockbuster of the year, I can hear announcer man saying “this winter….your old favorites…are back….like you’ve never seen before….” Between clips of them being alternatingly scary and complete idiots In my head just looking at this. Everthing about it is amazing!! the colors???? The lighting???the rendering??? I love it. 10/10 would stare in awe again I cannot say enough how amazing this is. /vvvvvpos

Oh my gosh Rain thank you sm!!! I got a drawing ask from deityoftherain I feel so famous lol. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to get to all of them right now, but I’ve got one done, and hopefully in the future when I have more time I can do more of them (I'm particularly excited by the one I have planned for Scott, flower husbands my beloved they were literally my first fandom love, so I neeeed to do a piece with them)

but yeah here is my piece for my number 4 song: Sleep, by My Chemical Romance, with Pearlescent Moon

I wanted it to feel like a glitchy and vaguely haunted old cassette tape, because that’s always what I picture when I hear the recording in the beginning of the song. I didn’t quite manage to capture the vibe I was going for, but I’m proud of the drawing overall. Also I messed up the lyrics slightly- it’s good night not good bye -and it’s driving me insane but I don’t have time to fix it lol. Also 4:42 is the length of the song. Ramble about why I chose red pearl for this piece under the cut (I will admit it was something of a coin flip between whether this song would go to Pearl or Joel, but in the end there was another song on the list that I really wanted to use Joel for. Also Joel would never feel bad about the murder lol /silly) vvvvvvvvv

This song feels so Pearl to me because it’s talking all about how haunted the person feels (technically The Patient from the black parade but I just tried to go off of what the individual song is about rather than the album lore) by all of the bad things they’ve done in the past, claiming not to feel bad and saying their irredeemable, while simultaneously condemning themselves and torturing themselves with guilt. They don’t think they’re worthy of being saved because of “the monsters that [they’ve] been” and sort of switching back and forth between a sort of morbid joy at the freedom of giving in to being unforgivable because they don’t have to search for forgiveness and a terrible sorrow and regret and fear at the destruction in their past, the loss that they caused themselves and are now suffering for, the guilt over the people they’ve hurt. They see no redemption for themselves, and feel both pain at the horrors that set them on this path and peace at letting their worst natures consume them, no longer having to try to walk backwards and instead marching forwards on the path of darkness and, if we tie it back to the album lore, the parade of death. If you have to be there, why not take the lead?

I saw that he had Welcome to the Black Parade on his feel good music playlist, and. Joel. You know what that song is about right? You know right? Right? /silly but yea so I drew this ig um also he’s singing because I was watching his latest ep on Hermitcraft while drawing and he both made another song (yay!!!! And it was a parody of the brobecks as well who I know. Dallon Weekes is an overachiever lol. Panic! At the Disco, The Brobecks, and I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT THE FOUND ME ? Three banger bands? lol I actually saw idk how live recently, it was my first time going to a concert, and it was awesome) and also played another pop song during his timelapse, and so this is propaganda that the next song he either parodies or plays during a timelapse should be MCR. Please Joel Smallishbeans do this it would be like the greatest thing ever. I mean it’s fine if you don’t, I also enjoy the pop music I am being educated in pop and I’m enjoying it. I just. It took so long but I now have a Tango design. This is a huge milestone I spent four hours on this drawing but this was years in the making I’ve wanted to draw him for so long but didn’t have a design.

I kinda hate it, but I spent too long on this not to post it. Tango is one of my favorite lifers/hermits, but I literally never draw him because I can’t figure out a design I like. Also I tried a new thing where I drew it grayscale first and then colored underneath the shading, and idk how I feel about it, but it was fun so I might do it again. Also I’m in the early learning phases of learning how to draw semi-realistically so um ignore the fact that his face is real derpy. Also if anyone has seen tango’s nose he appears to be missing it and would probably like it back now.

I think your sona is real neat. I also took some creative liberties, and also I realize that the actual snail is fairly underwhelming, mostly because I drew your actual sona first and got really distracted making it look nice and ran out of energy for the piece by the time I got to the snail lol. Also I couldn’t think of anything funny to write on the shirt, so um just pretend I’m funny ig lol. I say lol too much.

Everything in hollow knight is bugs this game is perfect for this and also just an awesome game and despite starting yesterday and getting stuck it is now my second fav after legend of Zelda botw and totk (I count them as one game cause they are direct sequels) because it is so good.

I was thinking about the parallels between Etho and Joel in Limited Life and Wild Life. They need to meet. I need to know how they would react. I can’t decide if they would be best of friends or worst of enemies.
