every modern pop feminism idea can be explained by this one chimamanda meme though?
queer theory? sex work is work? bdsm and hardcore kink as feminist acts? twaw? the idea of makeup being empowering? bimbo feminism? girl brain and boy brain? choice feminism? men can be vulnerable babies let them cry uwu? rape didn't exist in indigenous cultures before colonial influence? fgm affects men too because a penis can be a female organ and fgm = circumcision?
"I don't feel like a girl" "I don't feel like a boy"
There isn't a specific way to feel as a girl or boy. Patriarchy has been forced to us how we're supposed to "act" in order to fit the patriarchal standard. Anyone can be feminine or masculine, anyone doesn't have to be feminine or masculine, it's okay to not "fit" in a gender stereotype. The point is we're not supposed to, we're just humans.
*sees anti sex work sentiment*
*calls it terf bullshit*
These people keep telling us every way but out loud what being trans really is about, because what does sex work have to do with being transgender? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Women: women are female human beings Ppl: that's bioessentialism terf Male freaks: I took E and all the womanly fee fees leaked out my tits and my brain is pink feminine liquid now and I don't understand mathematics :3 Ppl: yayy
exclusion of women from spiritual leadership (priests, pastors, imams, pandits etc.) is an explicit message that women are not fully human. women are not worthy to lead because they are inferior and deficient. they need a man to connect them to god, god did not make them equal with men
it isn't just about having female voices at the pulpit, it's an ideological foundation on which religions build their sex-class system. exclusion of women from leadership is a statement about the place of women. it encourages men to oppress and commit violence against women. it degrades the self worth of women until they learn to accept their abuse as divine. spiritual exclusion is how religions codify female inferiority as the will of god and it leads directly to real harm against women
Story: *medieval setting where a lesbian disguises as a man to marry the woman she loves, be able to practice sword fighting, and to avoid being married by force to a man*
The comments: omg transmasc?? Egg?? Whether she's a lesbian or transmac, it's still a 🌠queer🌠story 🥰
As a black woman the more radleaning I go the more I realise how much leftist men and libfems hide their misogyny by putting "cis white" in front of woman.
Why is it always "kink can be non-sexual" but never "grooming can be non-sexual"?
i don’t give a fuck if men feel like they’re being excluded from feminism. it’s not meant for them anyways!! something this app needs to understand is that activist movements like feminism, black liberation, lgb rights NEED to be exclusionary so they don’t get derailed. feminists are expected to be the universal mommies to men and cater to their interests. i don’t want to babysit men into caring about women. our collective goal should be to free women from patriarchy, you know? that thing that MEN CREATED??
This reminds me of this one post, I can't even remember where I saw it or what it said exactly. But I remember it saying something about how a lot of incels or manosphere misogynists base their theories and "observations" of how women act not on real life, but from porn. Like, incels or men in the manosphere will claim the average bodycount for a 21 year old is like, 70, which doesn't make sense if you regularly talk to actual women, but makes complete sense if your most frequent exposure to women is through porn. This post feels like one of those claims, despite the poster seemingly being female? Maybe she's just trying to appeal to the men in those spaces, or maybe she's NLOG-ing and just thinks that she's different from most women for not riding peen at the drop of a hat.
