I was thinking abt why I love Spideypool sm and the whole "Wade not knowing Peter is Spidey and falling for both of them" until I realized that's basically Miraculous but in old men yaoi font so it's better.
The more they change...
The more they stay the same

Working for Penguin has the best benefits and he is the least likely to kill his own employees
Do NOT call him Penguin to his face
If they wear a cape, they have a praise kink. This can be exploited.
Be careful taking work from anyone with a doctorate. That maniac willingly went through graduate school

I understand the appeal of wanting every adult hero to instinctively adopt teenage Peter Parker, but can it really beat the hilarity of acknowledging that at 15 Peter was 5'10", unusually buff, went by a moniker with Man in it, wore a creepy full face mask, and had a tightly guarded secret identity and probably a Queens accent thick enough to have come out of a jello mold, and adult heroes reasonably responded to him by going, “Wow, this grown man is an immature asshole for no reason.”
Something from back when I watched s1 of daredevil that I completely forgot about. I found it yesterday and figured I could fix it up a little
now there is a version of this where he’s got a face but…I liked this better, feels closer to what I wanted
Me, with two nonbinary kids in the car, answering the phone: Hey, what's up?
My partner, trying his best but not used to using nonbinary pronouns: Hey, I'm on my way home. Have you dropped off the...thems...yet?
Me: I have not dropped off the thems yet, no. We're on our way, though.
The thems: uproarious laughter
Shinso 'proposed' to izuku with 25 cent rings he got from a coin machine on random Tuesday morning
At this point in time they were still just friends and were only playing around, still they both wore the rings proudly on their left hand
They didn't even fit, they had to cut the cheap metal with scissors so they could stretch the ring over their fingers. They also asked mina to borrow clear nail polish to coat the rings in because the cheap material was staining their hands green
They jokingly referred to the other as their fiancee and when they got into small playful arguments they would occasionally 'call off' the engagement only to immediately apologize and 'propose' again
During this time Shinso realized how much he loved the sight of a ring on his finger. It was a toy ring that definitely looked the part but he just fell in love with the way the painted gold caught in the sunlight
He loved talking to izuku and seeing their matching rings together. It's stupid but his little joke about proposing with 25 cent rings made him realize his feelings for the other boy
So shinso began to save up money, and when he finally had a good amount he went out and bought two rings. Rings made out of silver that actually fit and wouldn't stain their fingers. Promise rings.
He presented them to izuku on a weekend when they were hanging out in one of their dorms just talking. He prepared a whole speech about how the toy rings made him realize how he really felt and that he wanted their relationship to be real
I'm imagining a scenario like "I'm not ready to get married right now, were too young to even be thinking of marriage right now, but one day I hope to propose to you with real rings made out of real rings. For now, I hope you'll take these, a promise of a future together."
