Prompt #17

Prompt #17

“I guess I never meant anything to you in the end.” The villain swallowed the last bit of his beer. He appeared a bit tipsy as he stood up, and went to where the hero was sat.

The villain stumbled forward and kneeled down in front of the hero. “Please. Just please, tell…tell me why you did this. Why you-you…loved me and then decided to shatter my heart like this. Please.” He said, his face filled with raw emotion. Anguished. Bewildered.

The hero swallowed, "I...-I had to do this to save you. To save us. They found out about this, and I had to lie. What else could I do, my love?" His heart ached with painful sharp jaws gnawing every inch of it. If only the other would understand him.

"Don't! Don't fucking call me that. Not after what you've done." The villain growled, his eyes filling with harsh tears as he stood up and swat them away harshly. The hero went to grab him by his wrist, and the villain pulled back sharply.

The hero's eyes filled with tears. This was not supposed to happen, he thought. "Please, listen to me." He said, voice trembling. The villain turned out, his eyes red.

"What is there to listen to, after all this?" He asked, voice rough. He refused to look at the hero, for he was afraid he would fully break down. The hero came close, forcing his face towards him. He put their foreheads together, leaning on each other.

"We can make this work. We still have enough time to run away. I'm sorry I told them about this, but...but we can make this work, yeah?" He said, gulping. His throat felt dry from all the crying. The villain hugged him and wept. The hero doing the same.

Prompt #74

By @writingpromptsworld

“You’ll always be here to fight me, right?” The villain asks, pinning the hero to the wall, keeping an arm under their neck to keep them there firmly.

The hero grunted, leaning their head back to the rough bricks. They smirked slightly. “Why? Scared I’ll choose some other villain over you?”

“Shut up.” The villain said, pressing harder. The hero groaned, their hands moving to the villain’s waist.

They kept the smug grin on their face. “It’s okay, you can admit it. You like me, or dare I say, prefer me.”

And that was all it took for the villain to break. They leaned forward and smashed their lips with the hero’s, and the hero let out a laugh, pulling the villain closer.

Prompt #65

“You can’t be serious right? You want to fight me just because I took down your favorite bakery shop?!” The villain exclaimed in disbelief, their jaw wide open.

The hero didn’t falter, frowning with their eyebrows and lips. “It had the best banana bread! You can’t just do that and not expect me to come find your ass!” The hero said, defensively.

The villain couldn’t help but find it cute, as they let out a laugh. “How about I promise to buy you the best bakery shop in the world?”

The hero took a step forward. “It doesn’t matter. I want the one that you destroyed.”

“I didn’t know.” The villain sighed, feeling like a helpless parent that had thrown an old toy of their child away, and now the child wanted it back.

The hero jabbed their finger to the villain’s chest, squinting their eyes. “You pay the owner to build it back, and I won’t fight you.” They demanded, staring daggers into the villain’s eyes.

“Fine.” The villain mumbled, after thinking for a second.

“Fine?” The hero questioned, not being able to believe the villain’s words.

The villain nodded. “Yes, fine.”

“You promise?” The hero asked, smiling slightly, as their hand smoothed over the villain’s chest.

“Yes, I promise, hero.” The villain smiled reluctantly as well.

And they indeed did help the owner rebuild the shop, an even bigger one just to see that gleaming smile on the hero’s face when they suggested it.

Oh, and they also had many dates in the shop.

Prompt #79

It was almost three a.m. when the hero’s phone rang. They groaned loudly before reaching across the night table, and fetching it. They had no idea who could be calling right now, and honestly, they couldn’t give a shit. Because, they had come home around two in the morning and went straight to bed, exhausted and bone-tired.

They brought the phone to their ears anyway, without checking the caller ID. “Hello?”

“I miss you.” Were the words spoken in an almost a slur of a tone. The hero’s mind seemed to not process the words for a moment.

“What?” They asked.

“I miss you.” The person repeated a little more loudly. And the hero made out who it was. The villain.

“I—what?”

The villain whined, and a slump could be heard, followed by a grumble from them. “I miss you, hero.” They draw out, and from their voice, the hero could make out that the villain was drunk.

The hero pressed their lips. “Do you know what time it is? Where are you? Are you drunk?” They questioned, sitting up.

“I’m home…I think.” The villain slurred, and then sighed. “Are you home?” They asked dumbly.

The hero frowned. “Of course I’m home.”

“Can you come to me? I wanna see you.” They mumbled, and even though the hero couldn’t see them, they could imagine the villain was pouting.

The hero sighed. “Stay where you are. I’m coming.”

“Okay...can you stay on the phone?” The villain asked.

The hero got out of their bed, “No. I’ll be driving. But I’ll be there in no time.”

The villain grumbled something under their breath about hero being all goody two shoes and never breaking the laws before hanging up.

When the hero got there, the villain was sleeping peacefully, and they got in bed with them, the villain instantly cuddling up to them.

Prompt #77

The hero was currently wrestling the villain’s too tight grip around their neck, not quite comfortable, but something that they indulged themself in once in a while anyway. For the villain’s sake, and perhaps because they found it a bit of a turn on.

But then they find something unexpected from the corner of their eye. A picture of villain, with their leg planted right on the hero’s chest, grinning, while the hero scowled up at them. Ah. The time they had won. For once.

They break out into a breathless chuckle. “So…what? Y-you still have that?” They said, struggling to speak. The villain followed their gaze to the picture and immediately their grip on the hero loosened, and then tightened once again.

The villain sneered at them, getting annoyed. “It was one time I won! And today I’m going to take a picture of my second victory!” They snarled.

The hero stood amused, and then without hesitation, kicked the villain’s guts, throwing them on to the floor. The villain glared up at them, clutching their stomach.

“You know I was letting you enjoy your little choking game that you like to do every time, but I think it’s time I show you who’s in charge, sweetheart.” The hero smiled, squatting down and lifting the villain’s chin up with the tip of their finger.

And the villain, despite themself, found it incredibly hot. They would be lying if they said they wouldn’t lose every time just to hear the hero say those same words.

Snippet #7

(Part-1)

“Soooooo…you need my help?” The villain questioned, smugness plastered on their face. The hero had come banging on their doors at 5 in the morning, disheveled. A number of thoughts had begun to form in their mind, at the sight of the hero but they had pressed them down, and let the hero in any way. Oh, how they had fallen for the other.

“Yes, you could say so, I guess.” The hero replied, glancing around from where they were sitting on the couch opposite the villain.

"Oh, and why would I help you? What's in it for me?" The villain asked, their eyes glinting with mischief one could almost miss, but the hero saw it more clearly than ever.

Originally, the hero hadn't intended to come to the villain and beg for help. But, when the superhero told them that 'there was nothing they could do except, go to the villain for help if they wanted to take down the supervillain',they were forced to show up at the other's doorstep. They sighed and then inhaled the coffee smell that was getting stronger with every passing second. They gazed at the villain's cup, brown liquid omitting hot air into the room.

"Well, there is less competition for you when -if- we defeat the supervillain. What else would you want?" The hero explained, steadily. They suppressed the urge to yawn, as the villain sipped their coffee calmly. Cursing internally to the superhero, they waited for the villain's answer.

"While you're quite right, that there would be less competition for me. There would, however, inevitably be more enemies as well. So, my point is, I want something that would promise me a satisfactory future." The villain grinned, finishing. They put down their cup and watched the hero with anticipating eyes. For a minute, the hero stayed silent. The silence felt immense while the birds sang outside in the trees.

"And, what is that?" The hero pronounced, hesitantly, an annoyed edge lacing through their words. The villain was testing their patience on this awful morning, and they were not up for it. They should have just told the superhero to meet the villain themself, they thought. But, then again, the superhero gave them the orders, not the other way around.

"I want you to make a deal with me, that in the future, you will protect me from my dear enemies, as well as share your little secretive missions that are beneficial to me." The villain declared, confident with what they just proposed. The hero deflated. This was not what they expected, they expected something like a million dollars or entry to the city's security system. But this, this was very unpredicted.

"I get the mission part, but why would you want my protection? I mean, come on, you're the biggest criminal in the city, no one would dare to take you in a fight." The hero wondered, a bit confused. The room was quite dark, with little to no light. They could barely make out the villain's silhouette.

"Well, speak for yourself, sweetheart. You're one of the biggest and the most famous heroes of the city, of course, you'd be able to protect me if you wanted to. Every villain knows how honored you are for your missions. Some would go as far as to say they admire you, but that's beside the p-,"

"Do you admire me?" The hero interrupted, sudden curiosity making its way to them.

"I-, what?" The villain frowned, dumbfounded.

"I said, do you admire me?" The hero repeated, tilting their head. Honestly, what was going on with them? Why did they want to know? They should be finishing this ASAP and getting to their fucking bed to get a wink of sleep, they haven't slept in the last 48 hours for god's sake. But, here they were, asking the villain ridiculous questions.

"I mean, sure. Yeah." The villain said, shrugging. They picked up their coffee and started taking little sips of it. For some reason, they had begun to feel hot. This was so unexpectant of the hero, for they were always so professional. This was anything but professional, from what they could tell. And, perhaps, it was true. They always did admire the hero, just like they admired their dad, who was the superhero.

Prompt #71

By @writingpromptsworld

When the hero finishes their training for the day, and comes home, they do not expect to see the villain sitting in the middle of their room, with a presumably champagne glass in their hand.

However, what was more strange was the fact that the villain had decorated the whole place for the hero’s happy birthday. But the decorations weren’t normal like balloons, banners, and…. Other decorations.

There were knives, and other weapons hanging around the room vaguely, yet somehow fashionably. There was a cake in the middle with the hero’s name, painted red, their name in a black font. And the villain sat, grinning.

The hero stood still for a second, taking it all in slowly. If it was anyone in the hero’s space, they would have been shocked. Horrified, perhaps. But the hero, the hero barely blinked an eye at it. They sighed. “Is this the birthday party I get for working hard all day?” They asked, setting down their backpack.

The villain chuckled. “If that was your way of saying ‘thank you’, I regret to inform you it's not the best way.” The hero perked an eyebrow, before sitting down opposite the villain.

“And why would I be thanking you for this?” The hero asked, motioning around the room in a ‘what the heck is this?’ tone.

The villain pouted, their full lips crunching into a perfect circle. “Now that’s not very nice. I worked very hard to find all of your hidden guns, and even the knives! Gosh the knives! Why do you not have a knife holder?” They mused, their brows frowning in concentration as if this was a serious thing they took great interest in.

The hero pursued their lips. They hadn’t eaten much all day, and the cake(however bloody it was designed to look) appeared as delicious as water in a dessert. Their stomach growled, and they glanced at the villain. The villain smiled sweetly.

“Let’s cut the cake! Happy birthday, my hero.” The ‘my’ was really unnecessary, the hero thought but let it go anyway.

They leaned forward and blew off the candles. The candles were all black. “Thank you.” They mumbled, feeling uneasy yet a sick kind of affection towards the villain for remembering their birthday and even throwing a party. No one had done it, not even their closest so-called colleagues.

They put on a smile. Not forced, but genuine. The villain smiled just as genuinely back. The hero devoured the cake, it was a chocolate cake, their favorite. And while eating, the villain spoke up. “Just because I did all this doesn’t mean I’m going soft on you during our fights, just so you know.” They licked their lips, a flirtatious grin spreading across their cream kissed lips.

The hero rolled their eyes with a smile. “Yeah, yeah. You’re a big baddie, who doesn’t have a heart and has a stone cold persona. Blah blah blah.”

The villain laughed, gazing at them with love filled eyes. The hero couldn’t ask for more for their birthday.

Prompt #56

When villain broke into the hero’s agency, they didn’t expect to see their posters hanging on every wall of the hero’s office. Pictures from years ago, little drawings lay around on their desk, scraps of their clothes held in a frame like some kind of precious diamonds. It was ridiculous.

They knew to some extent that they and the hero had something between them. A strong pull, a powerful desire, holding them both together. Attached to each other like a delicate string. But what they hadn’t expected was this. This obsession. This mad, crazy obsession that they could feel radiating off the hero’s entire office. It was like the place held every part of the villain. From the smallest detail to the biggest one. They felt a kind of unease, perturbed.

They looked around through all the memories from the little objects splayed everywhere. From the newspapers that displayed their headshots to their over-the-years changing costumes. Everything was so admirable and terrifying at the same time.

There was a clicking of a door opening, and the villain froze in mid air, whilst they were holding up a ring that they remember losing the last time they had fought, which was months ago. They couldn’t believe how long it had been since they had seen the hero.

“Oh, look who’s here.” The hero chuckled, locking the door behind them and coming forward to where the villain was standing, their hands now putting down the ring back on the table.

“I was wondering where my ring went. So, it was here. You’re such a dirty little thief, aren’t you.” The villain murmured, leaning back on the said table. The hero raised their eyebrows.

“I wouldn’t call myself that. I saved it from the cliff where we were fighting and thought to give it back to you after, but unfortunately forgot.” The hero explained themself, as they crossed their hands in front of their chest before uncrossing them again and strolling to where the ring was placed. They picked it up and examined it carefully.

The villain scoffed. “So, you’re a liar too.”

“How so?” The hero asked, not taking their eyes off the ring.

“You’ve been collecting all these things of me like a psychopath. And, I’m supposed to be the crazy one here?” The villain rolled their eyes, moving their hand to take the ring back from the hero. But the hero just snatched it away, frowning.

“I haven’t been “collecting” them. I’ve been merely storing them for you.”

“Oh yeah? Sure. That’s what people say when they are caught, hero.” The villain muttered, moving their feet to the suit they used to wear two years ago. How did the hero even find that?

“Hmmm. No comment”. The hero replied, putting down the ring and coming to stand by the villain.

“Where did you find this suit?” The villain questioned, turning their head to the side to look the hero in their eyes.

“It was in your closet, I found it thrown on the floor like some garbage. I couldn’t believe it. It was and is my favorite costume that I liked the most on you. I had to take it in.” The hero went on, staring at the villain back. A blush adorned their cheeks.

The villain’s eyebrows arched. “You liked it on me the best?”

The hero nodded hesitantly.

“Huh. Interesting. What about those drawings? Are you gonna say you were bored and thought of sketching me, your enemy, to get rid of that boredom?” The villain dared, their body now facing the hero as they stared them down with an intensity in their eyes.

The hero shook their head, and looked down. Not able to hide how flustered they were. “No, no. It definitely wasn’t out of…boredom, so to say. I like drawing, and-and you have an attractive face that I could use as a reference.” They gulped.

The villain smirked. “Do I now? Do you really think I’m attractive, hero?”

The hero’s eyes widened as they lifted their head. “You know, for a well-known person like you; I didn’t think you would be such a hideous thing.” The villain continued, amused.

“I’m not a thing.” The hero said, simply. Their blush deepening, as they tried to move away from the villain. The villain grabbed their wrist and pulled them back. The hero hissed, the grip was tight. Perhaps a little too tight and the villain knew it, because they smiled a little before tutoring their head.

“You don’t care that I called you hideous, but that I called you a thing? Tch.” The villain snorted in what felt like a very disappointed manner to the hero.

The hero swallowed, as they tried again to snatch their wrist away but the villain’s hold on them was too strong. They felt weak, just like how they have been feeling for the past few weeks, thinking of the villain. They couldn’t stop thinking about them, it was like a musical record playing on repeat for hours on ends. It felt undefinable. They felt defeated. The force of the feelings that they had for the villain nearly crushing them.

The villain tugged them closer and brought their face closer to the hero's face and smirked. "Does someone have a little crush on me?"

The hero faltered. "W-what? No."

"You're red as a tomato. What else am I supposed to make of it if not the fact that you're clearly blushing?" The villain wondered, their unoccupied hand moving to the hero's face to brush back a strand of hair from their eyes. The hero flinched at the action, taking a step back even though they wished so hard to let the villain continue, this was no time to get lose in their feelings.

"I am not blushing. You should get your eyes checked." With that, they turned around and broke the moment. The villain raised their eyebrows but said nothing and soon enough, left.

The hero sighed.

Prompt #53

By @writingpromptsworld

A forming of thoughts seethed into the hero’s head, whilst he watched the villain flirt with their sidekick. Perhaps, a feeling that he wasn't quite ready to name it yet. An emotion that he so long ago buried inside of him that was menacing to rise again. He watched as his sidekick blushed, hearing the villain's words. What words, the hero didn't want to know.

When he first arrived at the location, he didn't expect their sidekick to be with the villain. But now what? The sidekick is with the villain, what was he to make of that? Was the sidekick betraying him? He shook his head, trying to get it out of his head, even though he failed to do so miserably. He was hiding behind a building, watching the villain and the sidekick still talking about something without a care in the world. He decided to slowly move out from where he was hiding, and just face him.

The villain and the sidekick didn't notice the hero until he was literally in front of them, with a gun in his hand pointed at them.

"What the hell are you doing here?" The hero sneered. The sidekick's eyes widened, as the villain looked between them.

"Listen, it's not as it seems, okay?" The sidekick attempted to say, the hero advanced towards him, slowly. Almost like a predator.

"Oh, yeah? I knew you'd betray the company. That you'd betray me-"

"I was just-", The villain cut him off, as he too, daringly walked to the hero.

"He's here on my request." The villain murmured, his voice deep. The hero hated himself for shuddering at it. He kept his hands steady around the gun, but he didn't know if he could do it much longer, because the way the villain was watching closely while walking toward him, made him want to go weak on his knees. A beast awakening inside of him, wanting more. His breath halted, when the villain took the gun out of his hand, tossing it aside, carelessly. "You're not as mighty as you think, hero."

The sidekick stood where he was, stunned.

The villain's scent was so strong, the hero had to move his face away. The other continued, "You know, your sidekick is too loyal to you, he deserves more appreciation rather than your doubt. He'd never betray you, from what I've learned over the past few years fighting you both."

"You don't know him." The hero willed himself to say.

"Well, clearly, you don't either." The villain threw back, arching an eyebrow at the hero.

"It doesn't matter. He-,"

"Look, he came on my request to the superhero. You can ask him, to confirm it. Now, be a good boy and apologize to the sidekick, yeah?" The hero stubbornly glanced away, silent. If someone needed to apologize, it was the sidekick, not him. He should've told the hero about this beforehand, shouldn't he? He scoffed, shuffling his feet to the sidekick.

"You don't have to. It was kind of my fault, too. Should've informed you about this." The sidekick muttered, a little sheepishly. The hero exhaled.

"I'm sorry, still. Sorry for doubting you." The hero said, the sidekick smiled a little and ruffled his hair. The hero bit his lip, shy all of a sudden. The sidekick knew just the right buttons to push to make the hero all coy and whatnot. The villain stood there, smiling.

The real reason the villain had summoned the sidekick was to discuss the hero's birthday party, which the villain planned to throw at his house, but the hero didn't need to know that. At least, not before his birthday.
